Marc is close, he has the range, probably a better range, and he sounds like Freddie in the sense that it's the same baritone/tenor tone, whatever. What's missing is the feeling, emotion that Freddie imparted. Probably because it is not a Marc song. It's still great but different. Marc is like Freddies son if he had one. We are dam lucky to have Marc carry on.

Charlie 😎 Queen wanted someone like Adam though. Ok yeah maybe Marc sounds a bit like Freddie. But that is only half of what Freddie was known for. And Marc seriously lacks that second half. Freddie and Adam both have a stage presence, personality, and they are their own person on stage. Marc just seems to sit by his piano or stands still a lot in his videos. Imagine that at live aid.

Queen chose Adam because he has more of a Freddie kind of vibe to him than Marc, sure, he doesn't have the voice, or looks, but his talent, personality, and stage performances are more of a Freddie lookalike than Marc.

I'm hearing that a lot. I don't think this would be great.. I mean, he's fantastic. But wouldn't it be weird to tour with somebody that sounds like Freddie? He would be like a impersonator kind of.

If I want to see Queen live I want to see the best possible performance from a voice that sounds the most like Freddie that it could be. Its awkward to just have a famous guy that can sing high take his place, for me I would always want to see the closest to the real thing if the real thing doesn't exist.

I understand your point. We also know that this guy is more than an impersonator. It happens that he sounds like him, and he learned how to impersonate him too but he's not just that. I went to their concert in York and the guy does not cover Queen and impersonate Freddie. He's an amazing singer, and happens to be the best ever impersonating Freddie but he rocked the songs and lived them I don't know if it could be compared to Queen, I can only say that it was a HUGE experience to me. Of course it would be better with the ones that made that music. The bigger point on choosing between Lambert and Martel for me is which one I like the most. i think you can read it between my lines :)
