Not even a Hawks fan but do the silly reverse knob that Seabrook uses and the beautiful pucked down tape job that Patty Kane has. Maybe talk about wax and who uses and doesn't use wax and how each player applies it if they do.
Miss watching you play Savy theres a reason you are one of Don Cherry's all time favorites. Not many guys could pass the puck the way you did and you were just a true pro its a shame your career got cut short thanks for doing these videos!
Savvy! You are the Bob Ross of tape jobs! Good tips and very informative. FYI..played late night pick up hockey with you in the early 90's at Wakeley arena with Dougie and the boys. Keep up the good work!
Damn I miss you in the NHL Savvy. Always the king of stick taping. Great to see you doing well. My only recommendation is that you end every video with, "take care of the stick folks and the stick will take care of you." Go Bruins!
I'm not sure how far back, but Gretzky placed his hand in the unique position that @Train2.0 calls the NHL grip code. It's a slight hand shift from where you would naturally pick up the stick from the ground and then also hang the pinky off like Savi mentioned. Here is a link to Matthews using the NHL grip code along with a few other mechanical tweaks ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FZp3RxVotzY.html
Really enjoy these. Please keep them coming and don't worry about rushing for a short video. Take your time and make a nice tight video. Take care of the video and the video will take care of you!
Love the vids savy! Keep it up! Maybe next time touch on wax? Benefits and what not. Also could you do patty Kane or ovechkin? Love the puck marks look thanks!
With black tape I’m bad but with white tape I’m good because with black it’s blends in with my blade so I don’t know were the tape is that is why I use white tape
As a goalie myself, doesn't matter what color your tape is, I can still see the puck. Makes no difference. Didn't even know this was a thing, first time I'm hearing of it lol
He explains it in one of the videos. If you are skating forward with your stick on the ice and toe-to-heel tape, the seam is in the wrong direction and the friction will try to peel it. Think of fish scales.
