The only good things about the Ägir were the secondaries, the rest was garbadge. WG nerfs the secondaries but keeps the other stuff. Good job, now almost everything about the ship is garbadge, or as WG likes calling it "German".
An idiot the secondaries aren't garbage now though, they still have GZ accuracy and decent DPM, we shouldn't act like the secondaries were very balanced before
t_mmey the problem was that the secondaries were the only good thing about this ship. There’s not really anything else about it that makes it strong besides those secondaries.
@@TheGrandexeno Americans and western EU pay more for this game. Russians can't even afford decent PCs to run this game, they keep removing effects and sounds so they'll be able to play it. I have no idea what they're doing tbh.
Regarding the matches. Had the same Problem today. Either High Damage losses, or low damage roflstomps. If you win, the enemy team dies so fast, you won't even reach a endgame...
Same thing here. The whole situation started since the corona outbreak. Guess a whole lot more potatoes are playing and wows matchmaking is kinda shit.
The way WG is treating the Germans at this point their T10 German CV will have only balloons as aircraft options while the Russian T10 CV will be a space station with orbital missiles, Tie Fighters and Kalibr Hypersonic cruise missiles for secondaries.
To be fair, 2.05 sigma is what basically every other T10 cruiser has (except the one true balans, Stalingrad with 2.65). It definitely didn't need the buff, but that's not what makes the Nevsky OP.
These "corona games" are just atrocious. Despite having more time to play than ever, I just stopped playing since 9 out of 10 games are just steamrollers. No fun there...
I've found that I have much more fun in t7 ships because there are ships that can uptier to t9 well but you don't have to deal with the OP t10 ships like Smolensk or the incoming Nevsky.
um.. DD's at T7: horrible tier, as you just don't have concealment module yet. As gunboat, you suck vs T9 gunboat, as torpedo boat, compete with newer things like Benham... Jutland coming to eat you alive.. T7 cruisers: vs T8: no concealment module, get outspotted. vs T9 especially: no heals, no reload mod.. also, hello T9 supercruiser. GL in a Yorck vs an Alaska, .. Seattle farming you,.. Kutuzov from smoke,.. So imo, that leaves BB's, as long as you don't try to nose-in tank.. here also, Musashi, J-B,.. But okay, a lot of T7 BB's can still be effective. Just take care not to feed yourself as any T7, to a secondary monster like Massachusetts, or a T9 equivalent.

Avoid the game, it has a lot of aweful mechanics like extreme expensive repair fees and some tiers are really unbalanced. War Thunder is a far worst mess than wows

Thinking about to start playing again but i dont know what captain skills i should pick for what ships. This IFHE "nerf" and so on changed things alot?
It doesn't come close to Daring or Gearing torpedo DPM, even if you can use both sides. Marceau has a base torp DPM of 71.2k, Daring has 82.5k, and Gearing has 92.6k. It has the longest reload and the lowest alpha out of all three.
What's up with the game lately? Even though there might be more "unique" players on the server, still, that should be distributed amongst both opposing teams somewhat equal. Why then those one team completely steamroll the other team so regularily these days? Seems like there might be serious issues with balancing good teams with some really crap ones. Average Win-rate vs the opposing teams is so big sometimes as 10-15%, thats huge!
Yeah, like today when I fought a triple unicum division with an unicum enterprise in the enemy time, no need to say how fast that game was determined. But wg insist that they don´t like good performing matches, also it´s easier for them a short time mm than trying to balance he match. Also i have the feeling that they want to spoil more the good players cuz they spend more money than casuals, putting them in matches with shitty enemy team so they can dumpster them. Wouldn´t surprise me a reason like that from wg...
I have a sour taste in my mouth from getting into a tier 10 game and we had Salem, Zao and Hindenburg, enemy team had 3x Smolensk. Yeah, that went about as well as you think.
I recently started playing WoWS again after not playing since just after -DDs got nerfed- stealth firing was removed, largely because of these videos. I've been playing a lot of mid tier games and I've found that there are a lot more close games that last the full 20 minutes around those tiers. It don't know if thats because people are still kind of learning or whatever but 6eah, the steamrolls seem to happen much more from tier 8 onward
WHAT TO DO? They removed Smolensk from armory. I planneed to buy it, but i wasnt lucky. How to spend my coal now? Thunderer or Salem or something else? Any suggestions?

After much consideration, I took the Marceau today. I guess if I wanted a BB I can play my GK or Montana so didn't take Thunderer. Cruisers I can use Hindenburg, Henri iv or DM, so Salem and Yoshino didn't appeal to me and I'm sy still on T5 with French DD.
Have to agree that most matches you either steam roll through enemies or you kite 15 minutes of the match whole enemy fleet. Would need more balancing to MM.

34% is completely fine. If the shell speed and arc of the ships you play are slow, you will naturally get lower hit % per game than with soviet shells. But again 34% is not bad
Just a thought, have you ever set up a training room with the bots moving? Also helpful in learning where your shots do the most damage as you can also have the bots stationary and just focus on shot placement.
I think it is a mod for the game called "Calm Oceans", it is part of the Aislans (dunno is i spell that correctly) mod pack,you can downloaded from the internet.
So my only choices left to me for high tier coal ships are Marceau and Yoshino.The one is a castrated Kleiber and the other is a typical paper Jap kiter. As for steel ships either Somers or the Bourg left to get
As much as Yoshino is a paper ship, despite its size it is not clumsy. The HE power on it is enormous and you have a massive range of 21km. Believe me, if played well and safe you will burn down any BB with it.
These 60knts torps are a real shame 😭 Not the first on my list of further coal ship to get, definitely... too bad, I love Kléber/Tashkent/Khaba gameplay, but Marceau isn’t the best of them for sure. GG btw, thx for the review.
Flamu, I'm feeling a bit like Ricky Gervais at the 2020 Golden Globes. How can you relate to `normal players' with over a billion credits and $1100+ in doubloons. Buying whatever components, upgrades and signal flags like there was nothing to it. Yes I know this is a WG sponsored Community Contributor account, but geez Louise. I see other streamers with all the flags on their ships and premium upgrades. For once (or on a themed playlist), I would like to see a replays of a stripped naked, non--premium ship, without a 19 point Cdr, that would represent the poor crappy player like me. BTW, thanks for these ship (and WIP) reviews - I do enjoy them.
Alan Johnson Well said mate!! The majority of players like me sit in the tier 6-8 level with a max 10pt captain and bugger all credits or gold. I dream of having enough coal to get my first ship, let alone working out what to add to my collection! Don’t get me wrong, I love these vids for all the positives that come from them, but I would also love to see the CCs do a Quickybaby free to play account set of replays. That would be quite telling.
World of Warships Mod station. The water mod is called "calm sea". It's super easy to use, download the mod station and get it running. Once you do, select all mods that you like and the program will install them for you. If you end up not liking a mod just de-select it and that's it.
@@niklasschroder2783 I used aslains too, but switched to wows mod station because its official and the mods are guaranteed to work and not cause problems, so they say atleast. Have not had any problems yet.
marceau sucks compared to haragumo, no smoke.. inferior torps, way less HE penetration, way worse concealment. it trades way too much for that speed and DPM
Maybe if they put a special fench captain on it...... name Capt Marcel..... who has a special stealth ability due to running a very silent ship...... it could get detect down to 6 km? Tres magnifique!
Glupi Medo and how would they rate skill? Winrate? Once they start putting people who are comparable to them on winrate, winrate will go down since they will be playing people at their level....that will screw the mm...bc yiu would have a lower winrate but be a better player.The other problem is that the current mm doesnt work the greatest, i cant imagine the probs we would have if they complicated the formula further. I wish there was a server for the casuals who dont care about any strategy and just want to hide at map edge or rush in and go pew pew for 2 mins and then die...and then spend remainder in chat talking about how dumb the team is.

Sort of. They need to have a player tier rank. It would make mm awful, but a tier7 bb player needs to be matched with a t7 bb player (skill wise) but the teams should still be mashed. Forced skill mm on all modes is what ruins games. I would prefer a permanent ranked mode. It would reap more rewards than random, however it wouldnt be steel/coal. There would still be ranked seasons that reap steel and coal and ranks and everything, but there would still be a permanent ranked season. This would split the casual, laid back, just having fun people from the die hard, spring sky, full signal using people. I'm in the latter. Had a game in JB where I decided to use 1 of my 4 spring skys. My team sucked royally, still got 6k fxp, but man I would have had INSANE fxp if I had more support
@@blueangels111 Ranked does not solve anything. I have been in plenty of ranked games with all the good players on one side too. Unless you only put players exactly of the same rank together. Some people are still very lucky and get carried by their team mates quite far. I have been in ranked 8 with clueless players with ridiculously low average damage.
@@blueangels111 It is not about meeting only people of your skill but having equal number of good players or above average players on both team. Both team should have equal number of bad and good players. It must be easy to sum up the PR of all the players and if the PR is too high for one team then move some good players around to have the same sum of PR.
@@VuHien2011 alright, sorry I misunderstood. I definitely think that is a great idea, as long as there are horrible and great players on each side. Some people enjoy competition, others enjoy the game itself. If everyone was the same skill level, it would be very hard and competitive and stressful. As long as teams are still scrambled, but each have good players, that is ok
