This is an absolutely stunning performance of an equally stunning piece. Talk about sending shivers down the back, and a carefully graduated build-up to a terrific climax at the end. I never tire of listening to this and wish I was able to play it myself. Thank you, Doug.

This is gorgeous. I dare anyone to hear this beautiful performance and recording and claim "this is a digital organ." Without prior knowledge I would deem it almost impossible. This is beautiful....thank you Doug!

Outrageous! Magnificent control by a superb artist, and a sound that is simply glorious. The 64' Bombarde on the last chord is worth its weight in gold. Thanks, Doug!

This is a totally digital organ with pipe organ samples by Marshall & Ogletree, both of whom are organists. Opus One is at Trinity Wall Street. They also built the International Touring Organ designed and played by Cameron Carpenter among others.

I got goosebumps right around the 4:05 mark when the pedal notes jump far distances then double notes.....beyond octaves!!!!

Has anyone checked out the specs for this organ? You should. Very impressive. It has a 64' Bombarde Bass and 64' Gravissima II. Don't know if they are actually the same pipes but one of those kicked in at the last registration change in this piece.

Doug Marshall at the organ is a marvel always. This is a satisfying performance except perhaps for the moment when the cortege joins the litanie. The cortege melody does not quite soar above the litanie counterpoint and seems a little lost in the texture at points.
