[04:19] Marcelo demonstrates an example of combining together techniques into a serial sequence that terminates with a submission-hold; Guard-Pull, X-Guard Entry, Take-Up Sweep, Stack-Pass, Back-Take, Seat-Belt, Crucifix Arm-Bar. [07:33] Guard-Pull, Hook-Lift, 1Leg-X Sweep, Knee-Slide Pass, Step-Over Arm-Bar; when finishing the arm-lock, be careful to not hyper-extend your partner's elbow when you step over their face. Loosen up on your over-hooking elbow to help alleviate pressure. Lift your hips slightly towards center-line if you encounter flexibility issues when trying to Step-Over. [11:00] Developing sequences also applies to initiating with a Take-Down. Expect to pass from at least Half-Guard and keep in mind that you must take a more dominant position like the Mount or Back after you've passed. Continue forward without pausing towards whichever submission you prefer or wish to train.
