The Big Ploppa is designed to hold massive amounts of weight for dry/dropper rigs! Typically, when our March Browns are hatching, we higher water flows. This means you need a heavy fly that can get down to the bottom.
Rather than using an indicator to suspend the heavy nymph I like to use a big dry fly. That's where the Big Ploppa comes into play! Tie it in varying colors depending on what's hatching!
The materials are pretty basic, and it doesn't require dry fly hackle, which is nice. However, it does require some skill to get everything looking proper and staying where it should. I recommend practice (and super glue).
We have all the ingredients to tie this fly in our shop and online, but I'd recommend checking in with your local fly shop before hitting us up!

It would be cool to then have a clip of you out fishing these flies. Or send out one of your guys to test it in the field. I was able to see a few of these popping off last Monday in the mountains along with some Gordon's and stone flies. It was a great time to be out there.

That's a great idea! I've been wanting to do this for a while! Hope to get more outdoor vids this year!
