This is one of the most popular flies out there right now, and will certainly find it's way into the "fly hall-of-fame." If there ever is such a thing. The frenchie takes the profile of a small nymph (much like a Pheasant Tail), and simplifies it by finishing off the fly with a bright hotspot.
When I'm nymphing and in a new place you better believe this fly is in my box. It has resulted for more fish in the net than any other nymph I fish.
