I'm unsure that this recording is the ISB. The photo is the the Holllywood Tabernacle Band, taken approximately 1967, prior to the band's Canadian Tour. The Photo is taken on the plaza of the Dorthy Chandler Pavilion in downtown Los Angeles. My dad Pete Slack Bb Tuba front row, fourth in from the left is still very close friends with Bandmaster Ron Smart (living in Australia) first on the left as you are looking at the photo. The Corps officer was Captain Bob Tobin (promoted to glory) far right, also first row. Great memories!! Pete Slack is now 84 years old and still playing Bb Tuba in the Tustin Ranch, CA Corps Band.

Peter Slack The pic is 1969. The ISB is playing the march. I used the Tab Band pic with it for some reason; have forgot why now. I knew Pete Slack well back in the day. I am on the back row of this pic. Cheers

Well remember when this came out and our band at Aberdeen had a go at it. Think our bass section had problems with a couple of bars!!!

A fitting tribute to mark the passing of a great Salvationist

The I.S.B. in those days had a brilliant sound and style, albeit with a mixture of "legends" and lesser players. Bernard Adams added "class" to the music.

As a very proud salvationist, this is a fantastic performance of a great March by the one of the best brass bands in the world. God bless the ISB. P. S when are they going to tour africa?

I missed my point, that The Tabernacle Band also recorded this piece on an album cut for the band's tour on which my mom Betty Slack also sings "Never Quit the Field" with Bill and Bruce Broughton.

Peter Slack Hi, I am Pete Whtehead from Blackpool, England. I played in the old Inglewood Citadel and Hollywood Tab bands with your dad over 40 years ago. I knew both your parents very well. Glad that your dad is doing well; hard to believe he is now 84. How in your mom Betty these days? I have the recording of her singing the Bruce Broughton piece you mentioned.
