I found your channel recently, there's lots of content to go through so I didn't notice you're not putting out a lot of content. Perhaps this is the reason people are still sending you stuff? There's a wealth of knowledge on your channel! BTW you made me buy two ZX spectrums within two weeks ;)... BROKEN ONES! No fun buying working ones!
Glad you like the pico board and the joystick. I tested my zero delay board and it was detected by the pico zx. I used m4 heat inserts in the 4 holes of the joystick base and then m4 button head bolts to join the top and bottom. As you can see I have square cutouts for the joystick to allow coach bolts with a smooth top to be used with a lock nut. If your stick is like mine it was setup to be used vertical so you might have to remove the stick from the metal and rotate 90 unless you are wiring manually.
Very welcome to the boards Lee, hope they work I still haven't had time to build my joystick interface, hopefully test it soon... The musical paper is what we use in our house to wrap presents in, it's taken from old music score books from my partner she used at school and doesn't need anymore - promise not a an attempt to woo! 😂
Some lovely donations and sorry for the completely useless Spectrum tatt but it should at least look nice on the shelf. It would be interesting to see inside it, I never opened it myself, just collected it from the eBay listing and put it in a box for you (I knew you'd love it).
Hey there - it's a little convoluted, but if you have a landline, you can still use that VTX5000 to connect to a service that still exists - the best way to find out more would be to watch the Spectrum Show, Episode 100, where Paul goes through the process.
Wow! I had that Prestel modem thing! Worked great at the time as a pseudo teletext kind of thing. You used to be able to download games as well as I recall...Amazing how seeing some items can trigger so many memories! Nice little stash you have there Lee to keep you busy for a bit :)
