+Jeffery Miller if you read any one of the books you'll see that they had a crap loaf of DNA, and the only blood supposedly missing was 1.0 ml of blood from a vial for evidence and the expert had said that isn't enough to spread ANYWHERE, it's so minute. and the 1 ml missing was probably from evaporation. oj freaking did it, no question about it. thank God has finally in jail for something. is funny how the black community backed him up....he was only a member of the white community. he never did one damn thing for the advancement of his kindred people. that a-hole....the court just had a really crappy judge, the worst.
The way they treated her during the trial was absolutely disgusting. Sarah Paulson did a wonderful job portraying her. The scene when she enters in the court with the new haircut and she feels so confident was so heartbreaking to watch. You see the confidence disappearing from her eyes as soon as one of the male lawyers says "Great haircut" with a sarcastic tone.
I really connected to her at that moment. I was too young to remember the trial so now watching the series I'm glad they are portraying her correctly and everyone is aware of how horribly she was treated.
Words can't explain how much I wanted to just throttle Johnny Cochran in those scenes where he was being so cruel to her- what an absolutely deplorable, awful man.
The genuine look on her face when Ellen read the tweets melted my heart! :') She was treated so bad by the public and now people are seeing how bad it was.
+Helene Naicker So true...almost like a sense of vindication. Like she was waiting for this all these years. She was treated so badly; I'm happy to see her "get her day."
+Harrison McFarland However it sold a lot of newspapers that got her head served up on THE silver platter didn't they? where does that take us..... 20 years later so sad to pick on David
And what a woman!!! You can tell she was on top of that case and knew what she was doing! So intelligent ... It's a shame they didn't value her importance
+Sierra Peak A strong woman? One who changes her appearance because of the media spotlight and who made a mint selling books based on the murder of 2 people. That's real strong, no wonder the world is fucked up.
+Dick Jones what the fuck? She is also an incredible lawyer who was treated horribly just because she's a woman. She changed her appearance because the media proved to be a key element during that trial. It didn't fly as well as other tricks people have played, but don't be naive, every single person under the spotlight has changed certain behaviors or characteristics of themselves to be more appealing to the media when they need something from it. She took charge of an incredibly difficult situation in an environment dominated by men. If that isn't strong to you, you should reevaluate some stuff.
An incredibly awful lawyer who lost a watertight case. If she was so smart why did she use Mark Fuhrman as a witness? She changed her appearance because she was a media whore. It terrifies me people aspire to be like that excuse for a person Marcia Clark.
I will jump in my time machine and head back to 1995. I will remind your mum to use contraception, otherwise her son will turn out to be a disappointment.
This Marcia Clark character and her cohort Darden were effectively charged with throwing the case.* They were in cahoots with the “then shadowy forces” that committed the gruesome murders. It was done for a Massive Social Engineering purpose, and the ones responsible are Antifa/BLM/Deep State collaborators. Those are also the ones responsible for the other, much bigger and more consequential Social Engineering Political Psyop, the Floyd video.
88Musicgirl - Maybe not "looks" wise, but you've got to understand, Darden put up with a ton of shit. I.E. The black community labeling him an "Uncle Tom" etc. etc. Seems like the last person that was scrutinized in this trial was O.J.
and she was a mother of two at the time, she is great! I've read her book, "Without a Doubt", there is so much more to all of this, it's crazy! she's a warrior for women!
They treated her deplorably. The little digs from the defense, they wouldn't have done that if she were a man. Besides the tabloids talking about her looks, it was the MEN. And this goes to show you how far we've come. From our suffragettes being jailed & tortured for basic rights of opinion to a prosecutor like Marcia Clark, they paved the way for us, with their self-esteem, their soul, their sweat & tears. So ladies, no matter how confusing this election seems - you MUST vote. You MUST have a say. You MUST remember that people were hurt for the rights (voting or equality in the workplace) we take for granted today.
That scene where the cashier guy makes a mean remark to her as she's buying some tampons- I wanted to jump through the screen and slug that guy! It was just disgusting what she went through.
The show is mostly about how bad people face racism but marcia is the definition of hard working and a intelligent woman, she had so much sexism to deal with while doing this case her kids and much more, but the sexism and how she was treated was hardly talked about, that's one of the worst parts is that nobody even notices that's it's sexist it's so rooted in our society but she's amazing
+Becca Lowry. Oh my god I jumped off the couch when that grocery clerk said that. If it had been F.U. Bailey at the grocery store buying ten bottles of 12-year-old scotch that clerk wouldn't have said a word no doubt. When they showed the Gil Garcetti character telling Marcia to change her hair, clothes, look, etc. that was so shitty. Nobody told any of the men what suits to wear or what to do with their hair, beards, etc.
+chris maiguezki wow thank God there are still guys who actually are aware of this cause I scrolled most of the comments and all the men are saying it's not a big deal or she got paid so who cares
szqsk8 Why are you more upset by her coworkers unsolicited advice than the women on tv bashing her appearance? Also the period joke made by the cashier..it was exactly that a joke. I think marcia was capable of taking a joke since she made fun of a mans hand size in court being xs and we know what implications she's making with that comment. Why no cry of sexism there? Seriously lady's toughen up i don't like my gender acting like whiney little victims
@Mansi Chandra Well shes doing something that is unimaginable. Studying Law. So what is not there to be as a role model? Maybe you? Fact is shes evolving and progressing. The comment was not probably meant to imply that she was being put down but maybe the one who wrote the comment wanted us to infer it. Js. P3ace yow.
The sincerity in her eyes as Ellen is reading those messages is special. After months of being ridiculed by the press and the men in court, this is her time for redemption.
As a teenage girl hoping to someday be a prosecutor, Marcia Clark is so inspirational to me. In spite of all the sexist bullshit that was thrown at her, she never once let it throw her off her stride, and while she didn't win the case, she was still such an amazing lawyer, and certainly deserved to win.
Sarah Paulson has really made Marcia Clark a "hero" with her portrayal of her on the show. We were literally feeling so connected to her. Acting at its best.
+Angelina L RnBMusic R it's the magic of professional make up/fashion stylists... they are available at Ellen's place. We all could look better than we did before
if you want to compliment her compliment her on the sleepless nights and hard working intelligent woman she is, fuck off with the comments on her appearance
I'm watching this with my soon to by 12 year old son. Its so different watching this the second time around and answering his questions about the trial about the hate surrounding the trial that is sadly still relevant today and how horribly Marcia Clark was treated (which he simply called bullying). I am proud of my son to recognize this and feel confident he will be a strong man that will recognizes the fact that women are equal and deserve the same respect as any man. I'm sorry for the families that were devastated by the real tragedy as these 2 lives were lost. But I am glad they did the series and its provoking real thoughts and conversations that our county needs. Reading about it is one thing. Seeing it is another. Especially to our children.
This interview made me want to watch the series. I'm so glad I did. Binge watched all of them in one night. The world does owe Marcia Clark an apology. This woman is so unbelievably strong and a role model for all.
I'm so happy that people are being nice to her now. She's a really interesting person and she didn't deserve all of that horrible treatment back in 1995.
I cried when I saw how personal the trial was. Sarah Paulson did the role incredibly. It's a shame what happened to Marcia Clark, glad that these don't happen nowadays.
Every time I watch this woman giving an interview I become so emotional, and almost want to cry because she is such a nice and smart person, yet she was so underestimated. I have so much sympathy for Marcia for what she went through during this trial.... Agggghhh
So this interview started out by addressing a substantial issue: gender politics and image, etc. But then Ellen just took it back to the same splashy tabloid gossip garbage that made the case such a circus to begin with. What a shame.
Marcia Clark looks fabulous and I am so glad she has moved on from the debacle of a case. It was not her fault nor Chris Darden's fault with the outcome of the verdict. As she says, even today she thinks it would turn out the same way. As for the show, the woman who portrays her is smack on got Marcia's demeanor, looks down pat! I admire her for what she went through, and all the personal comments, (even from Ito) regarding her clothing, hair, child care etc. Shame on those who made this personal against her.
I wish Marcia and Chris would've gotten married after the trial, they both were put through hell while it was going on, then at least something good would've come from all that misery.
Marcia is such an elegant and intelligent woman. She expresses her ideas in articulate and profound ways. You can tell how strong she is by how she just radiates self-acceptance, even after the hell she was put through.
I know this video is over a year old, but I am so happy that her story got told in a different light than how it was originally portrayed. She was so great at her job, and she has deserved this recognition and praise since the trial. Sarah Paulson was the perfect person to portray her, she is just as amazing.
After Ellen read all those tweets to her you could tell she was close to tears. It must be emotional after all these years to finally be shown some respect.
Her and Chris are like soulmates. I just cant help feeling that watching this series. I just think its a shame if they never tries anything. I believe they were just perfect for each other.
+Anastacia Louise Me too. Chris said I believe that people would give them dirty looks when they were together and that is what ultimately kept them apart. We can thank the media circus ring that caused a lot of negativity. You can tell they really cared about each other and she is blushing. I am glad he was there for her during the trial.
I beamed like a proud eldest child when Ellen read out those tweets. The reaction on Marcia's face was the most genuine thing ever . Everybody go watch 'The people vs OJ Simpson', its phenomenal and Sarah Paulson was incredible. :)
I felt soo bad for Marcia Clark more especially when the Judge said "hello Ms. Clark... I think", I just felt sick and I have to admit I shed a tear. Women shouldn't be treated this way.
I feel as though I was deprived of this relationship... If you watched the series starring Sarah Paulson the acting was amazing Darden and Clarks relationship was electric I wanted them to be together so badly
As a young woman with a career the challenges you face with a custody battle is rough. You're a light to single mother and career women. A true role model!
So much respect for her. I also really love how she and Darden have consistently kept the full extent of their relationship private. Whether it stayed platonic or not is really no one’s business but theirs. Fun to theorize about, but only they know the truth. 🤐
Sterling K Brown who played Christopher Darden was brilliant, he and Sarah Paulson were perfect together. I wish Ellen would have him on the show, I saw him on The Real and he was a great guest.
This is a prime example of how the truth will set you free. When I clicked on the video I was not expecting her to be so vibrant and full of life... Can't really say the same for the defense.
The way she was treated back in '95 was horrific. I was around 20 then and it shook me--how a professional, adult woman could be treated so badly for basically being a woman. It was obvious to me at the time that they wouldn't have treated a man the way they treated her. The expression on her face when Ellen read those tweets was truly touching, so genuine. We have grown, yes, but not that much. What's changed in this case is how the public views OJ Simpson. Sympathies have shifted. But it was never okay to constantly trash Marcia Clark throughout the entire trial. I'm glad more people see that now. She was so strong to endure that, and is so strong today.
I hope that Marcia reads all these awesome comments that people are leaving! She is one HELL of a woman and despite the outcome of that circus of a trial, she is a kick-ass attorney!!
Everyone else already commented on Marcia Clark and I completely second it all, she's amazing. But more importantly: Ellen is like the biggest fangirl ever and she ships Marcia and Darden so hard. I just love both of these women.
A single mother going through a really rough divorce who is also the prosecutor for the trial of the century. And she survived. If that doesn’t scream badass I don’t know what does.
