My dad couldn’t listen to this song without tears in his eyes.. I’ll never forget he was the one waking me up on my wedding day. He died almost 4 years ago.. and sadly the marriage didn’t work out either. But I’ll never forget the happy memories..

I always said that I dont want kids, butnow Im older that change completely , had my personal struggles and if I ever become a mom then my first priority must be my kids and ofcourse if I see images like this ' a little baby in her fathers arms Wonderful. That's makes my heart softer and softer. Mabey I get my own experience with having a child.

Yeah, thnx Jacco. One of a few songs that never fails bringing tears to my husband eyes. Hits him right in the feels. And as our daughter is turning 17 and graduating high school next year, it's just that little bit more of a pinch. Because now she's looking at colleges...

i know its late but i love this reaction, the song always makes me feel some type of way. That is because my dad died when i was 15( now i am 24) because of cancer, this song always makes me relising the moments i never will have or had. I put this song on a video with my daughters on it just after the divorce and gave it to them, this song is an important moment in my life. I am still in contact with 1 of them, she knows how valuable I am to her and she to me.

Kids are great, we have two, we have very good memory's from when they were young and now we are enjoying these moments even more intense with our grandson who is living with us and his parents. If you don't have the responsability you have more time to enjoy and spoil them a bit.

I cried buckets full of tears because of this song. I thought it was much older than 2008, because i remember it in relation to my daughters birth. She's 21 so that's impossible, must have been another song of him. It still hits me and i think it's my favorite of Marco.

Jaaaaaa Anneke, dat is ook mijn favoriet! Die video zegt alleen al meer dan 1000 woorden. Je voelt van begin af aan de hele intentie en betekenis van de song. Nog steeds krijg ik elke keer kippenvel en voel ik elke emotie achter de song binnendruisen. Daar is Marco een kei in.

I can remember the day my daughter Juno was born. Now she's 18 years old and I'm proud of her but every change we were going through I was nervous. It went so quick. The biggest one is when you realise they can do it all by themself.

Oh H, this song broke me. It was just beautiful & said all the things I wish could be true for my wee lass, but altho she's 24 now she'll never grow up & mature in all those ways you dream of. She's amazing, & resilient, funny, a wee minx at times, naive & wonderfully, fantastically innocent & I adore her just as she is. But she struggles so, & the world's not a kind place to the perpetually innocent. So there are times, in my dreams when I imagine all the might have beens. Lovely lyrics that so eloquently describe how cherished children should be & our memories of their journeys through life as they grow; however that may be. Just five days ago my youngest daughter left to start living on her own. And although I will see her a lot, I miss her. This is so true. I does feel like yesterday when she was in my arms for the first time. Painful pride! that's what it is. As a parent you're always one step behind. It's impossible to keep up with them. It's the most satisfying struggle. In the end it's those little things that bonds: her little hand in my hand, that beautiful almost shy smile when she woke up. Her naughty smile crawling up my lap to get her way. (she got it ... always!). I realize now that empty-nest-syndrome is a real thing. It will take time to get used to that. And yet I couldn't be more grateful for that journey with her. And of course likewise with my other daughter. Your timing reacting to this right now ..... you could've given me a bit more time .... if you knew :-))

As a daughter of 2 amazing parents, I just wanna say: If you did a good/decent job at parenting & at raising us, your son(s), daughter(s) and non-binary offspring will ALWAYS need their parents... Just less than when we were tiny & growing up still. From 18, 21 etc upwards it's about watching eachother grow old/older together. My mom is my best friend & while my dad is less close to me than she is, he's also a great guy & together they did great raising me & my baby brother (who turned 18 this year). And I do tell them & hope they know how appreciative & grateful I am to call them Mom & Dad. And I wish that ppl whose parents aren't loving/accepting etc could even have just a sliver of my parents' kindness. 💙

@@ciskadebart1763 I know, but most other people my age (and even younger) have a group of friends they hang out with every now and then. Many have had at least one relationship, some even got married and have kids. I'm still single, with only one family of three (a step-mom, a dad and his son) who I consider my friends, but we don't hang out that much. I'm on the autism spectrum and that doesn't make it easier to make connections. The fact that I'm gay also can make things more complicated at times.

I don't know.....i have a nephew..also such a life..round your age....not many friends.....happily he has us as family...bigger than yours...and a job he like....and he is on dancing lessons now for 4years i think.. So he met other people in the weekend....and make some friends.. Sometimes you do not need much friends....if one resonates..its allready fine... I'm 20 and already an Auntie of 11 amazing little (or not so little anymore 😢) angels 💗. Number 12&13 will arrive in a few months. I find it kinda scary because I want to protect them from negativity and protect them from any kind of pain.. But being an aunt (or uncle) is so rewarding and such a beautiful thing 💖💖 I love all of them so much 😍 And yeah they grow up wayyyy to fast! The oldest is already 11 😢🥺

I always liked this song but now it has a very special meaning to me. When my first child was born one of the people in the or (I had a c-section) was like this song is so beautiful (I didn't even know there was music on) so everyone was silent and this was the song that was on just minutes after my own daughter was born. So now everytime I hear this song I remember that moment.

This song was my dad and my favorite one , he passed away last year February. We always wanted to go to a concert but sadly we never had the chance . We always cried together with this song .
