I actually curious with that. If we feed corns to chicken, and their fat turns yellow-ish, what happens when we feed them with small Knorr pellets mixed with rice or corns?
Lmao 2:45 he drops the whisk into the sauce and gets pissed off, but the voice-over and editing do a good job of covering it up. Funny seeing a legendary chef mess up like that.
@@videofudge Funny how it's true. He quit the "chase the Michelin stars" game long ago. He said it wasn't worth it. That doesn't make him any less of an extraordinary chef. The difference now is, he's trying to make good food that's accessible. I know a ton of TV chefs and RU-vidrs already make "easy cooking for everyone" a thing. But coming from someone of Marco Pierre White's caliber, that means a lot.
Archangel Michael he probably wants the money. What’s wrong with that? Guy worked his ass off and now has a good reputation. May as well make some money off that. He could show us a true Michelin starred dish but 99% of us wouldn’t be able to recreate that even with detailed step-by-step instructions.
@Archangel Michael I think you mean "career". And he did not trade his fucking restaurant career to make cooking videos lol. He retired because he had already reached the pinnacle of his profession and didn't want to be a workaholic for the rest of his life Unlike other chefs obsessed with status, he gets to enjoy time with his family and gets to make a little extra money with endorsements
These vids are amazing and the best part is when you're done watching, you can always go down the comments section for a good laugh about this man's obsession with stock pots.
I was still learning to cook in 2011 and tried a variation of this recipe by MPW. Things were going well until I reduced my cider to a syrup... I let it go slightly too long and my apartment filled with the same ubiquitous scent that constantly resonates through the vents of MPW's kitchen: Knorr stock pots. The very foundation of my home started to shake, the dishes rattled in cabinets, and a small flame and accompanying plume of smoke appeared on the end of my cat's tail. Just as the seams of my home began to crack and burst, there came a knock at my door... A gentle knock, aggression withheld. I opened the door to see the very soul of MPW in front of me, a formless, ethereal substance that constantly dissipated and reformed with the fluidity of a rotating tetrahedron. As I tried to gather myself, the substance spread quickly through my home, first across the floor like a light fog, but within seconds turned into a thick, soupy haze. MPW was within me, and all around me. His celestial form took over my body and started the entire meal from scratch from within me. As the pork cooked in the oven, I felt a searing pain all over my entire body as the once formless MPW extracted himself through the very pores of my body and with seconds was standing in front of me. He was nine feet tall and smelled strongly of dank bruschetta. Time had stopped, or pressed forward significantly; I couldn't tell. The sound of a food timer I didn't own went off and I saw Marco press a small, black hieroglyph behind his ear to disable it. As I took the pork belly from the oven, MPW perfectly reduced the cider into a syrup, never for a second letting it teeter the line between cider and caramel. As he wrapped up the sauce and flawlessly coated the pork belly with it, I told him what an honor it would be to share this beautiful meal with such an incredible, acclaimed chef as himself. He slowly leaned in and whispered, "It's your choice, really." Before I could respond, MPW slowly returned to his vaporous state and fled through my air vents. A few minutes later my wife came home and kissed me on the cheek, pleasantly surprised to see I had given the old "college try" to one of our favorite chef's recipes. 9 years later, we are still happily married and once a year before Thanksgiving, I can still smell the strong scent of Knorr stock pots through the vent in my kitchen.
Seasoning folks, he's used it as seasoning. Apparently despite having a whole belly of a pig in this dish he decided the sauce should also have a big smack of pork in it.
White is seen in UK adverts for Knorr stock cubes and stock pots, a Unilever brand. In answer to criticisms that he'd "sold himself out as a chef" by acting as a brand ambassador for such products he said, "by working with companies like Knorr it allows me to stand onto a bigger stage and enrich people's lives... Michelin stars, they're my past."[15] -WIKIPEDIA
People are stupid for criticizing this man and saying that he sold his prestige.. Actually not.. He even become more great because he shares his knowledge to people who cooks at home with the use of simple easy ingredients. He connects to people who are just average cookers or if not, who can't cook at all...
@@lightofheaven134 Let's be real here man. He did it because Knorr paid him a ton of money. That being the case, if it were a situation where the stockpot would truly take away from the dish, he would not endorse it. Still, I think it makes you wonder whether he's truly as enthusiastic about the product as he claims.
@reviewloop Are we really going on a witch hunt for celebrities who endorse products? I thought any product worth its salt (sorry about the pun) would be using celebrities to endorse them, because they make enough to be able to afford the big names. You cannot walk through a shopping complex or even drive a car through city streets without being overloaded with heavily photoshopped pictures of your favourite actor or sports star trying to sell you some shit.
Love Marco , as a retired chef he is an idol , I love his no bullshit attitude . I use stock pots nearly everyday at home there is fuck all wrong with them for home cooking . I truly believe he uses them at home for stews and suchlike if you listen to him in interviews he doesn't bullshit and he is right to say that you can't get flavour like a real kitchen made stock unless you use a bullion or a Stockport at home .
He's no idiot, he won't add stock pot to the dish if it doesn't work. Dont want to use stock pot then spend hours making your own stock mate "it's your choice."
@CazMatazz You are just a nobody criticizing a the youngest 3 star Michelin chief ever and a 5 red knife awardee..the highest ever in culinary history... So where should i believe then? To this great man or to you who is just a nobody?
Those who make fun of him for saying "there isn't a recipe" fundamentally don't understand what a recipe is or don't put your mind to think what he meant by that. What it means is "don't stress yourself out in casual home cooking when you can't remember exactly how much of what you should put in,", and "don't freak out when you don't have the the exact certain ingredient." What it doesn't mean is that the dish has no structure or boundary or that you could put absolutely whatever you want. The basic structure of the sauce here for instance is clearly creaminess, acidity, and fruitiness and it is within that structure that you could innovate and renovate and add or minus what you want.
@@okthen270 Jesus, give the man a break. He's showing simple cooking recipes even you turds could copy, he's not explaining how to cook in fine dining.
The guy is just making recipes with a product he likes for the home cook. So what if its a paid promotion, 99% of the video doesn't even talk about the stock cube, its a legit recipe video. Jesus christ
Don't know why people are making fun of a Michelin star chef for using instant-stock, he's showing how non-Michelin Star normies like us can cook a lovely meal. "Let anyone among you who is without instant-stock be the first to throw a jug of fresh homemade stock at him." If his recipe asked for homemade stock I wouldn't have bothered with this dish.
Gotta get that Knorr pork cube to give your pork that porkiness. Sometimes people serve pork without using a pork cube and I'm like "I'm really missing that porkiness in this pork"
I love the way Marco explains everything in detail. He may not be as natural with the camera but he is far more informative and one of the all time greats 👌
He's not. Watch videos of Gordon and Marco interacting with home cooks and people in general and you'll see how much more humble Gordon is. Always eager to learn and being in the middle of the action, regardless of the circumstances. Marco, nope. He refused to help a guy row a boat because he said it's not his job while he was in it. Gordon would never and has never done that.
@@craz4jaymz That's not being arrogant. If anything were to happen while he, who isn't trained for that job, who's going to take the blame? You gonna ask an someone who can't drive to drive? Don't be a fucking idiot.
@@MansMan42069 you need intensive training to help a guy who was also in the boat to row it? Lol. For you to compare that to driving a car and call me an idiot for such a simple thing shows you're quite a hysterical person. Calm down, drama queen, the owner of the boat obviously knew they weren't in danger if Marco had helped.
Knorr chicken stock cube has no added MSG. In fact, it is probably no less healthy than the cream, the meat, the cider the brandy (or whatever it was) or the apple juice.
I met him once. We had a long chat about rabbits. He was very pleasant and, surprisingly, rather humourous. He knew all about rabbits, ferrets, etc. Nice chap. I'd sooner have met someone more female and sexy, but there it is.
