like he said you can just buy a whole roasted chicken for cheap at the grocery store and it dont take long to cut a carrot or asparagus and drop it in water
@@mikec4308 No, it does not take long to cut up a cooked chicken, trim and cut all the veggies, get all your pots and pans and cooking area ready, and then get each of your veggies blanched.
@@zhbvenkhoReload you must love clowns you voted for tRump twice, oh wait the only people found guilty of voter fraud are re-ugh-icans, I’m being redundant!!
I like to rub Knorr stock pot onto my face so that when I’m cooking over a hot stove, the sweat from my face drops down into the pan and seasons whatever it is I’m cooking. It’s my choice.
The great thing about all these MPW Knorr videos is that they show that a great meal can be made without too much fuss. Perfect for people's busy lives.
Thats what I like about gordan and marco. Gordan does recipes for home cooks that have all day which is brilliant for a weekend whereas marco shows you something you can knock up after work with little to no fuss
What I like is Marco gave you options and alternatives, he didn't say that is what you should do or that it's the only way to do it. Not unlike Gordon with his "the most amazing (insert ingredient, soup, protein, stock, vegetable, etc)".
ChuckRazor I like how he said too that it’s alright to just go out and buy a fully roasted chicken no need to use up more time and cook a fresh raw one he knows how the home cook works
I never got that vibe from what Gordon was saying. It always carried an undertone of "if you can't find what I'm using, make do with what you can buy. It'll taste similar since the method of cooking is just as important."
"And what makes it really delicious is the Knorr chicken stock pot. Because without that, what would it be? Just a chicken stew." Isn't that basically what this is WITH the stock pot?
If we're being honest, it's just a chicken stew. But you know, a Knorr chicken stock pot, that's what makes it a stew. Add the chicken, add the veloute, or don't. It's your choice.
Can we just take the time to appreciate the fact that Knorr and Marco are actually more realistic and down to earth than Gordon ever was?! Nothing is staged or cut to fool you. It's simple and everybody can effort this! Awesome!
Aye the stock pot comment are funny but these recipes are class....Easy concise not pretentious. If more people used them instead of eating ready meals the world would be better for it.
i know it’s all in good fun when people meme the “it’s your choice” but i feel relieved when he says “your choice”. i feel less intimidated. i suck at cooking anyway
Ive tried most of Marcos suggestions and they are as good as they are easy to make. And thats actually no small feat. And some of the time you dont even need the pots. ;)
15 minutes? Blanching vegetables?. That sounds like fun. If I rearranged this recipe, I'd make the roux, add a Stock pot, cream, a little water and Thyme. Add the carrots. Cook for two minutes uncovered, then add the Chicken and Asparagus. Cook until Asparagus is tender.
If you're on a budget Make a peanut butter sandwich. All u need is 3 simple ingredients: 1. Bread (optional) 2. Peanut butter ,(optional) 3. KNORR cube!
Most importantly, make sure you put each piece of chicken in 1 at a time, by hand. Or, throw it all in at once, it's your choice really, but my mother was Italian
If you want to a chicken casserole with leeks perfect if you want to do a chicken casserole with mushrooms perfect if you want to do it with vegetables..... IT'S YOUR CHOICE
I'm still so confused how Gordon Ramsay became a yelling chef after training under this guy. Buddha might be the only being more relaxed and peaceful as MPW
His attitude is more intense in a professional kitchen. Not like Ramsay, more like Hannibal Lecter. Watch the Great British Feast and you’ll see what I mean. It’s also a great series.
@@AnonymousOneThree That's some interesting info though. I've only watched his " tranquility " RU-vid videos. I suppose he's probably crazy like the rest of us
@@AnonymousOneThree I think he also cut off the back of a cook's shirt when that cook complained that it was hot in the kitchen. MPW was a different beast.
It’s chicken but it’s a turkey and it’s a casserole but it’s roasted. If you want to do beef but broiled then go right ahead too. Because it’s very simple and it’s your choice really.
Marco pierre white. Secret to getting michelin stars. If you cook beef use Knorr Beef Boulion If you cook Chicken use Chicken Knorr boulion. Use some cubes get some stars. Chef my ass
The stock pot is there when you don't have time to make your own stock. Tip: save time on this recipe. Instead of roasting a whole chicken, use chicken thighs. De-bone them and use your bones and off-cuts to make a stock, and the meat for the dish. It's your choice. Note: I don't discredit an amazing chef, only his motives with these Knorr abominations.
@@monkeytennis8861 I'm not sure why the speech marks were needed. It seems between us there's a lack of surety and stock pots. Anyway, I'm suggesting no such disguise but the motives I question because a chef as talented as MPW doesn't need to rave so boldly about how shop bought stock pots are better than other forms of seasoning, which they aren't. I doubt very much that any of his Michelin stars were earned on the basis of Knorr. His motive to promote only discredits his amazing talent. The facetious and jovial pragmatics of the majority of comments on these videos serves only to support this. Continue to debate or argue, it's your choice. Just use a paste of 12 stock cubes and optional olive oil, fingers and bowl.
I got in a car crash a few days ago both my legs completely blown off then at the hospital they put knorr stock pot in my iv drip now I’m gay and have no legs 9/10
This guy cooks for the modern people!!! He even said you can go out and buy a fully roasted chicken !!! This man knows the home cook ain’t got all the time to make supper hence the use of stockpots!!!
Stephen Carr people make fun of him because it is more likely to get likes. That is all people care. That is why it is so rare to find a sensible comment like this one here.
I started watching these videos about two weeks ago because of the funny comments about how he's such a sellout. Now I bookmark them and rewatch them to get good ideas for easy meals. I've even bought those plastic stock pots, though we don't have Knorr in Australia.
I was a bit stuck up at first, but since I copied his recipe for peppercorn sauce, I think as well as being a fine dining chef, he's also a genius at how to make good things by cutting corners. Also Knorr cubes as sold in the UK and maybe other places, don't contain ingredients such as MSG.
people give him shit for these sponsored videos but you are being educated by a world class chef for free. watch this video and literally count the new things about cooking you learn. not just the recipe, the techniques to achieve good texture, proper timing etc. let him have his sponsorship, he's retired from michelin life, and nobody here really thinks chefs want to cook and eat 3star meals all the time do they?
