Lol no he doesnt. Theres hardly any fills!! The Nightwing track has TONS of fills, this isnt even close. This guy is awesome...but he doesnt play in my opinion, this, the best Marduk track right at all.

Not to mention Frederik Andersson hit way harder to boot...

He’s good yes. But he didn’t do any of the fills that Anderson does on the original! He just blast beats all the way. Could be due to exhaustion and understandably so

At least for me (I'm only a beginner drummer) it's easier when you reduce the risk of hitting your other hand. But dunno about the pro players.

The reason i do it is to never hit the rims of it. Also i can play way more relaxed and i'm sitting very far away from the kit because of the speed of my doubles. So it doesn't feel good to have your snare high while you have to stretch your arms a bit. At least for me. Also adding more speed is way easier by putting your snare as low as possible and you can hit harder. in the beginning I also tried to challenge myself to put my arm on my leg as less as possible while putting my snare low would make it more difficult. I like challenges like that.

To reduce the time needed to scratch the balls between snare hits :/
