I liked the episodes of Fresh off the Boat that I got to see. They managed to do some old stories well, and did some new ones well. Like, the mom lying about the gift she got for her husband. She was all neurotic about it but it was handled well and wasn't played entirely for laughs

It's cute that Margaret Cho thinks those White people don't also tell Black people how to feel about race. Though, to be fair, the example she gave is not the very best example of that: If the public gets very offended by the show's title (doesn't even have to be the Asian public!) the producers will probably get backlash. It is fair for them to have some concerns, since their names will be on it.
