When we've heard numerous versions of this, we realize Margaret Price's love of & care for precision in score rendering, besides that 💎voice💎 of hers. What a singer 🙏
So extraordinary to hear it sung so cleanly. So much that passes for Verdi singing (particularly sopranos) ends up being horribly wobbly and very covered. Anyway, this is anything but and all the better for it. Diction is forwards and every word makes sense. My only criticism is the lack of real chest voice but it's a quibble really. In its own terms it's a masterclass in how to sing Verdi. Thank you for posting.
South Korean soprano Ungiu Kim, fantastic old school sound, hints of Caballé, Alessandra Marc, and Cheryl Studer in her voice, awesome rendition of "Tu che le vanità" with piano accompaniment ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rJ7bxGvVt2g.html
This is such awesome singing from Dame M. Price. It’s really big and lyric JUST enough. The whole aria reals of doom death abandoning and determination. It’s like Aida , Donna Macbetto AND Elisabetta. That’s really how these heavier soprano roles were designed. That said the lirico aspects can be heavenly cast and sung . But when a big spinto sop is in the dominion these arias take on a more heroic grand opera quality. Considering the scale of the orchestra it becomes obvious the challenges.

I had no idea Margaret Price had sung this repertoire, as I only now her from her many wonderful Mozart recordings. I think she does a very fine job, though the music may be slightly too heavy for her voice.
