In this video we head to the east coast of Tasmania to discover Maria Island. We find the ideal Free camp for our van right near the Maria Island ferry terminal, making it easy for our island getaway. With our bags packed we head off to catch the ferry for an epic day trip to Maria Island, ready to explore the unique Painted Cliffs and other parts of this stunning island, apart from the occasional ranger driving past, there is no traffic so getting around is usually done on foot or bicycle. For the more adventurous, there are a number of longer walks including the walk up Bishop and Clerk and Mt Maria.This island is famous for its huge population of super cute wombats, Tasmanian devils, wallabies and birds, as well as the convict ruins and history of Maria Island.This is definitely one of the Must See places of Tasmania, Australia.
