The time when Mariah used to have the biggest fandom and most of that fandom stopped believing in her and right now she has her TRUE fans who always believe in her whatever happens to her voice, career etc. we don't care .We love her! XD, #lambily
@@TrisTan-wo7tf yeah I get that but Rainbow was clearly her breaking point, and she struggled to actually get through so it hits harder for me (I actually watched that performance regularly for a while to get me out of a dark spot). This is a close second though.
I heard her say in her message, that she almost gave up her dream because people made fun of the color of her skin and her dad told her she could sing and she did it!
Butterfly is an incredible album that would have been even more successful if not for Sony trying their damnedest to sabotage MC; but they learned the hard way that true greatness cannot be restrained.
I was so shoked butterfly wasn't as big as her previous releases as a growing up kid who just knew Mariah in 1997. I was surpised that she made videos of butterfly and the roof but they weren't released as single? How dare sony.
Mariah Carey is talent. To think she composed such a powerful and meaningful song as this AND she is in a league of very few female vocalists of all time. This woman is legendary & created her own path in music thru her story, trials & dark times of her life. Mariah you are my hero! #L4L
@@charlescavanagh9140 ummm she was basically trying to get it off her arm and when he went by she just put her hand out as just a reaction of being in the moment of singing and her security walking by trying to make sure things are ok.. stop trying to make it as if she was rudely not wanting him to touch her … are you that dumb that you still believe that 7 years later after you typed this foolishness? Geez
It's from this album "Butterfly" that I started to notice a change in MC's voice. I've always thought it was a combination of factors, including natural deterioration plus MC's desire to explore more the "visual" side of her lives (showing more course and sexy looks) instead of concentrating on the vocals, leaving them almost in second floor and less refined in sound.
Mariah is a legend. She can still sing. Not as high and flawless as before. But for me Mariah at her prime still sings the best than all of the singers and performers after her prime days until now.
I think that she looked so beautiful during this era. She still looks good now but those hairstyles that she had in this video also suited her very well. It looks really natural on her. Mariah Carey is a stunning woman. :)
Today, there’s Taylor Swift filling up huge domes, but back in the day we had Mariah (and she still slays). One of my biggest regrets in life is not being able to see her perform live in her prime.
nobody else sings live prefectly except her. singers nowdays i repeat. singers nowdays depend on auto tune too much. everybody can become a singer but not an artist.
This is her most emotional performance of this song in my opinion. 2nd for me is 1996 Tokyo dome. This version just feels so real and alive. If that makes sense. Lol
Im sure we can feel her love. Such a shame some people disrespect her true talent and think all she does is lipped. I love Mariah, regardless her ups and downs. She has saved my from me on my low points through her songs and I celebrate my victories with her songs. Im sure there are still many lambily out there and hope the milenials will realize how much talent of hers. God bless you, Mariah ❤
I can not tell you how many times this song has saved my life since 1998 (that was a crazy year for me, escaped from my own "sing sing" #divorce!) listening now in 2022 during yet another trying time - for the nostalgia, so many wonderful memories of meeting you at CD signings #funtimes - Thank you for sharing your gift with the world ❤🦋 #L4L
But to be next to the fans it's a right thing for all the artists, the intimacy between the artist and the fans is one of the best parts, it's kindness and peace. It's a pure pleasure.
this song Mariah wrote is so amazing and powerful😄😄😄I can't begin to express how much strength it gave me when I thought I couldn't make it. Thank you Mariah for writing this beautiful song and sharing it with the World 💞💞💞
Bendito that little girl must have been so shy sitting next to Mariah and seeing all those people just staring at her. I'm guessing the ultimate case of stage fright 😱😭
i feel that she had a really big moment on the 90's and obviously she's a legend but i think her worthy music period could've been much longer, she really deserves it.(and this is a fact cause when you think in one of her song is from the 90's)
i'm not saying that she left her music career,it's just that after the 90's she has a couple of hit singles, nothing else .For example, look at beyonce she's been in the industry for 20 years but she've never stopped doing new music.
+Elia Albaladejo The media is so stupid they gave up on Mariah in 2013. Because she had a bad year. Only the true fans stuck by Mariah at that time, now her voice is on fire and the media never covers it. They only care about what she's wearing and who she's marrying, and frankly it's none of our business Mariah can wear and marry whatever and whoever she wants. Fuck the media.
+Elia Albaladejo she left sony columbia due to the conflict with her, label and her ex tommy being the CEO which eventually stole some of her demos and gave to J Lo. Even the ppl's in there are afraid to like her new music which is rnb hip hop of hate it.
Me. I am Mariah - The elusive chanteuse is an underrated album. Not her best work but it was good overall. Camouflage is my favourite song from the album.
