the only lipped part is the chorus. She did that climax live and those runs live. Some people only like to focus on the negative parts of live. But that's ok.. At the end of the day she did great here
+Missy Ford you do know that every concert performance is dubbed right. They have to edit the sound from the audience at the very least to be able to market the footage because your average fan doesn't want to hear thousands of people screaming, singing, and/or chanting while their favorite singer is singing. The footage being dubbed doesn't take away from the fact that she sung this song live, it just means that afterwards they may have edited or re-sung some of those live vocals for a better presentation for the fans.
The talent is pure... No one compares. She changed the game. Her singing and her tone is one of a trillion. The greatest singer and vocalist to ever walk in my planet.
I agree. A true legend. She will be forever remembered for her classic hit songs. And this yuletide season, I find myself listening again to her Christmas songs. One of the best female singers indeed!
her biggest enemy is herself people would always compare her vocal / singing ability in the early 90's of her career and her in the recent year what people (sometimes) don't realize is that everyone gets old including Mariah Carey we still want to hear that young sexy diva Mariah Carey with her beautiful voice
That happens with a lot of artists it the same reason why Frank Ocean, Dr.dre and many other artists won't release albums because they don't know if they can live up to the hype as before.
Yeah but the truth is that Mariah didn't really take care of her voice, as most singers have their own vocal teachers/ vocal trainer, Mariah doesn't. Therefore, Mariah has a hard time keeping up with the songs as her voice gets weaker. She also needs to rest up her voice which she overused in the 90's. The 90's were mariah's strongest but yet weakest years. Look at Celine dion, she's been getting old, matter of fact she's 1 year older than Mariah. Did her voice get weaker? No. Her voice actually got stronger& even more healthy unlike Mariah's but honestly every singer can get their voice back with time & even improve.
1:09 I'm addicted to how she sings the second verse. How is that even possible? She's like breathing and singing at the same time. I'm amazed. Simply beautiful voice I've ever heard in my life.
@@firasharb1454 I think that’s a bit of a stretch, and that’s coming from a huge Britney fan. I personally think that the impact of her music is no where near Mariah’s. Mariah saved many people’s lives and became an inspiration to tons of artists
It's so funny because whenever I sing this song I always add that riff there just because I think it sounds good there as well as on I don't wanna cry and she confirmed it for me in this video
I love this performance. Mariah was and continues to remain on her own lane which none can compare to, she's stood the test of time with her music and is what you define a God given talent.
There is only ONE person who can sing this and that was Mariah in her prime. Even the most versatile singers stray away from this song because it is vocal suicide.
@@axelito6342 her prime was 1990-1996, as in 1997 she started having vocal issues, but her voice was just changing, and she was still able to deliver unbelievable vocals and performances. But her prime was already over
@@sephmartin70 she starts singing live at 1:36 min and you can hear how her voice breaks at 1:53 min and how she holds the mic to far away from her so the sound is weaker at 1:57 min. It s sad how everyone calls it lipsync just because of the first part and the chorus,
@@sephmartin70 It is not lipsync, it is the sound of the other performance of Japan. That is above the Taiwan concert and that is why it doesn't seem like lip sync.
I used to listen to this song on my car stereo going to work and coming home from work. I had not listened to it in over 22 years until a singer on The Voice sang it. What a beautiful Mariah Carey song. I also like "Vision of Love."
She always sings this song with great emotion and passion. This version truly resonates with her rasp at 1:57 "Living in...". I feel blessed for many reasons but growing up witnessing her evolving artistry and hearing her express these emotions and thoughts is one of them.
I'm sorry yall but whoever doesn't stan Mariah is really missing out on REAL MUSIC and a REAL SINGER. Mariah's pen game is just out of this world, whew chile the hits ❤👏
MC has not only a blessed voice, but her sound would be too modest to be expressed by the words of Sir Shakespear. ... let alone her beauty! She is a epiphany.
She deserves to be a diva and have a big ego. She has done so much and worked with all kinds of legends and big names besides herself. There will never be another Mariah. Love you Queen!! 🙌👑😍✊❤🐑
