People nowadays might forgot that Mariah Carey wrote and produced many of the songs she performed. She’s a beautiful talent, I honestly think it kills her sometimes to sing her own songs and for he to hear a star sing it is probably incredible for her. Especially this song.
She wrote all of her songs that aren't covers. Not many. All. Mariah is the most accomplished songwriter I have come across. Her vocabulary is just astonishing

That last note was everything and HER. Goosebumps. I love Patti. Met her at the airport yearsssss. Got an autograph. She was waiting for a friend to bring her a pen. She kept telling me to follow her and calling me baby like I was family. I promise the sweet lady and loving lady you see on tv/internet/movies is exactly who she is. She makes you feel like you’ve known her for years and she is your auntie. such a sweetheart.

After learning what Mariah been through since she was literally 3 years old, I see why she is emotional. I believe God put Patti in Mariah’s life for a reason. Mariah’s own mother emotionally disowned her and Patti stepped in as her Godmother to show her a true loving relationship. ❤️she deserves it . She is misunderstood to everyone else but those that truly get her love her

@@christianWilliams-pc4jnI remember watching 4 of the 5 legends you just mentioned on VH1 Divas Live in 1998. That show featured Whitney, Celine, Mariah, Gloria Estefan, and Shania Twain BUT it was in tribute to Aretha Franklin. All of em were fantastic!
@@NateTheGr8ness yes 98 was the second best of divas live the first being 99. 99 is my favorite because it has Whitney she's the star of it even though it's supposed to be Tina Turner lol. Tina Turner is the one being given the tribute in 99 but Whitney steals the show with herr I Will always Love You performance at the end. The other ones were there but I don't believe Whitney was in 98. If you haven't seen divas live 99 I highly recommend it.
This was the year miss Patti admitted that her voice was declining and thought she lost it and won't sing anymore. But her soul is always on the go making legendary performances like this and inspiring many artists and people. Now 2021, Patti is still singing her soul and bringing houses down. Such a LEGEND, ICONIC and difinitely HISTORIC. The PATTI LaBELLE.
These 2 women are epitome of grace, class and vocal masterclass. They are also both women of faith. Their career longevity speak volumes of them as artist and as human beings in general. Such good decent people.

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Patti. A beautiful person. Treated me with love & respect. She wasn't feeling well & I was MOD at the hotel she was staying in. She asked me if she could use our kitchen to make something to help her feel better. Best soup I've ever had! An honor & master class in cooking all at once!

Why do people like to judge others Patti is very old and still did the song to the best of her ability now I wonder who amongst the recent singers will still have their voices as strong as the old singers.
