I don't care what anyone says, yeah the Album might have had very low sales, but it's a really great Album if you listen to it. The problem is that the younger generation is into a whole new sound and they don't really about great Artist like Mariah Carey anymore. And to everyone saying that it's the end of her career you are wrong because I don't know if you guys realize but every year All I want for Christmas returns to the charts, everyone tries to make a Christmas classic but they fail. I will always support Mariah Carey.

She is singing live, but the back in track is playing. That is why there are vocal effects. You know it's live because of the falsetto after the bridge and the whistle at the end; they are different to studio and are ad-libs. To be honest, this was quite a good performance. It has energy. It's just a shame that the album flopped because of horrific promotional handling by her manager and label. It's her best since TEOM.
Why was this not a single? It's the best song on the album. Produced by Q-Tip. It would have been at least a #1 club song. It's a dance song like "Get Lucky."

Every time there was a double-voice effect, she was doubling that voice live. So that means that besides a couple high notes she dodged, this was live. Holy shit.
+MartyHasNoLife Well what confused me was that she played most of the album track and just lowered the volume with her finger on the mic everytime she wanted to be louder than the album version. IT was really confusing and messed up. IT's an awesome song, but I wish she didn't do that. She actually lipped most of it. You can even hear when she sings shorter/longer notes than the album version. It's honestly messing up a fantastic song.

We really having a discussion as to whether she can sing or not? This song is double tracked, you expect her to have two voices? She will always sing this one with a backing track its just how the song works, the big notes are live.

Actually I think a big part of this is live, if you pay attention you can hear a lot of notes that are not in the album version.. too bad the backtrack was so loud it was almost imposible to notice her real voice..
I am not sure which song I live the most, "you don't know what to do" or "meteorite" I love them so much. This album is really great. It is a pity marketing team was really bad. Her music is a delight. i wasn't sure how this was gonna go because i have MIAMTEC and it just didn't sound much of a performance record but this was mind blowing i loved now all i need her to do is perform faded live and my life would be complete i love that song
Faded wound up my #1 most-played on Spotify for 2016...two years after Elusive Chanteuse was released; in my Top 5 Mimi Jams for sure! Sadly, I don't think we'll ever get a live performance, especially since that splendid climax is nearly as hard as WBT and the recording has heavily edited vocals that leave nowhere to breathe.

Awesome! Her live vocals are easily discernible from the background vocals. Folks need to figure out what a LEAD vocal is. The only part she lipped was the first high note, she did the second one while the music stopped, which was clearly live.

The performance was live, but the show was edited. I cannot believe people are not picking up on the editing. The event did take place way before the tv airing, leaving plenty of time to do some editing, not very good, but it was done.
This is lip synced but honestly who cares? Mariah is still current and that's all that matters. People think that because she isn't as famous as before she's a flop, when to be honest, no one has reached Mariah's level of fame. So she kind of set herself up for a fall. There's a reason Mariah has more number 1's than any other solo artist. She can act as diva as she wants, she has the accolades to back it up.
