Just fun note: Shake it off was blocked for reaching number one, by her own song, we belong together!! isn't that crazy? Fly like a bird, you need to see that in the live performance at the 2006 gammys, standing ovation. Thanks for sharing.

Everyone had counted Mariah out before this album came out. One of the best comebacks of my lifetime. It can’t be understated just how big this record was. R&B perfection.

I honestly do not think she gets enough credit for her musicality overall. She’s truly a genius but people can’t see that because they’re not able to hear critically. Her techniques are so soft and fast and quick it. It goes over peoples heads.

Fly Like a Bird is one of my favourite MC songs ever because I literally cry whenever I listen to it. The Emancipation of MiMi is banger after banger. I remember listening to this album incessantly when it first came out. Top 3 MC album for me.

Yesss! I was so excited for this. Im pretty sure I listed to Fly Like A Bird 3 or 4 times after the first listen. I kept replaying because it just kept building and building and building. Everything from the lyrics to the choir to her voice- it is truly one of her best of all time. You should definitely react to the grammy 2006 performance of WBT/FLAB. Mariah said in her book that this song truly got her through her own dark times, after the loss of her Dad and everything that happened with her family & label around the time of Glitter & Charmbracelet. It does the same for me now, so im so grateful for it. My faves on this album are actually all of the bonus tracks an obviously FLAB. Emancipation is number 4 for me after Butterfly, Daydream and Caution. Loved this reaction!

So many people were saying she lost her voice in the 90s. This album was kind of like her saying, “Oh really motherf***s??” Lol I can’t rank her. She’s just amazing and every album is like an evolution of her music and her soul. It’s so beautiful. I just remember the nostalgic feeling I had when each album was released and that feeling of listening to it and we were all routing for her to really hit it out of the park and establish herself again as the force she is and so when the album dropped it was like magic. We Belong Together was named song of decade by Billboard magazine. It was a fun time. Saw her at the Garden in New York with this tour. Just fun and celebratory. 🎉❤😊

A flawless, masterpiece, no skip album. Arguable her best work. I love every track, but “Stay the night” is the standout for me as far as production and vocals. Kanye killed that instrumental. The beat/bass bumps hard if you’ve got a great stereo system in the car. As always, an amazing reaction.

1. So so lonely / my one & only 2. Circles 3. Mine Again 4. We Belong Together 5. Fly like A Bird Nobody writes lyrics like Mariah, the quality is that distinctive. And nobody can quite sing it like Mariah, often imitated never duplicated. The songs all have that unique combo of r&b with gospel, the hip hop with pop, the productions mixing live musical instrumentations and synthetic sounds, MC is always consistent album after album - truly an incomparable, visionary talent, her qualities are both modern & classic. ❤🎉😊

Okay so I quickly realized that this album will be 20 y.o. next year 😭😭🤯🤯🧓👴. Ok ,now this was THEEE album of 2005 and pretty much the remainder of the decade, for me personally. It was her new Chapter, working thru the trials & tribulations that life puts all of us thru (except our problems aren't plastered all over the tabloids & Internet, like theirs). It's evident in the lyrics, the musical arrangements, production and style of Vocal delivery. She was making a Clear Statement, I've Never Left & In Case Y'all Forgot or Doubted Me..., Lemme Remind You.

Mariah is my favorite & this album is straight fire! So funny you got a kick out of her cuss words here & there, she definitely became free with this record. You should check out the memoir she wrote in 2020 " The meaning of Mariah Carey " she lets loose with the words in there lol! Definitely gotta check out the remaining tracks from this album, " Dont forget about us " became her 17th #1 billboard hit & its actually my favorite from the entire album. Love the reaction!

Oh you gotta find the ultra platinum version if it's available in the UK on whatever your streaming choice is. She went into the vault and added previously unreleased tracks to multiple albums. There's Don't forget about us, a we belong together remix, makin' it last all night, So lonely (one and only pt.II) and two tracks that were unreleased. Basically a whole extra half album on the ultra platinum edition.

I agree with u on the songs on this album 😊but fly like a bird and mine again hold a special place in my heart ( also love say something and circles) ❤️ i almost choke singing them 😅ok album list is hard cause for mariah depending on my mood or a long time I've heard songs it may change but 1.daydream ❤classic and its one of her favs 2.emotions 😍 it has all my ballads 3.butterfly ❤ 4.emancipation of mimi ❤ 5. Charmbarcelet 😊(sometimes it and butterfly can switch places and emotions can share places with music box 😢❤it makes me cry more and self reflect) 6. Caution ⚠️ 😅love it especially caution 😂and 8th grade the others follow but most of these can be changed except for 1&2 absolutely 💯 classic albums sing every song on them

Can you please react to We Belong Together/Fly Like a Bird live performance at the 48th Grammys? It's a phenomenal performance. (Mariah was robbed that year though, she should have won song and record of the year) TEOM is my third favourite Mariah album, behind Butterfly and Music Box. How can you even like her? I don’t know, she had so much potential when she first started out, and a voice in the stratosphere. But the stuff is just pop. She hasn’t challenged her self in decades. Frankly, it’s just boring. So sorry, just my opinion. But it’s nice that you enjoy it so much.
