Nice reaction, you two. Not every female can reach whistle register but even fewer females and go down quite that low. Mariah was just vacationing in bass territory. I'm subscribed and the bell is on. I'm ready for The Legends Only podcast.
Yes her going that low was epic!🙌🏽. We have a couple episodes of Legends Only Podcast up already in case you wanna check them out 🙌🏽. Mariah’s first episode coming soon!
One thing about Mariah is that of course she's known for the whistle notes. But her voice could get really low. And those low notes were pure epic every time. She's only artist I know that could hit the whistle and then very next note for extremely manly low.
You should check out her song Melt away it holds all of her registers, she starts of very low and ends in a whistle. It’s very fascinating to hear her flutter through all her registers and textures in one song 💗✨
her voice is just pure magic, i was floating on every word...i wish she would have released it on an album , she's absolutely my favorite, and the best singer/ song writer/ voice. the greatest.
This made my whole day! Can't wait for your Mariah episode! I'd love to see y'all react to one of my favorite Mariah performances "Butterfly" live at Saturday Night Live '97! Thanks for all the incredible content!
I love both Stevie wonder and mariah version of this song. You definitely need to explore Stevie wonder, omg, he has so many brilliant songs. Mariah really does justice to peoples songs when honoring other artists, shes amazing. Great reactions
Nice reaction! Mariah’s performances have that wow factor. I recommend Mariah Carey Vision Of Love BET 2005 and Make It Happen live GMA 2005. God bless y’all. Thanks for the videos, and I look forward to the podcast!
Wow thanks for mentioning me and reacting to my Mariah request. This made my night guys. ❤👍 My next request would be "The One" MTV Shining through the rain special, if you haven't already.
One thing about Mariah she doesn't try to outshine the original singer... You'll see that with all her performances.... Mariah's great at taking original songs and making them her own...
Great reaction. I can’t wait til ur podcast! If you’re talking about her songwriting, The Roof, underneath the stars, Vanishing, Fourth of July, My All, Melt Away, Babydoll, Close My Eyes, Breakdown, Outside, are all outstanding examples of her writing
The song is originally from Stevie Wonder and she was singing it in original key so very low for a "sopranesque" singer like her, Michael Buble has also a version of this song. Stevie Wonder has been one of her biggest influences thoroughly her entire career. She adores him and respects Jim for the Legend he is, because of Stevie she made this gorgeous amazing, she wanted him to know that she was busting her behind to make him proud. Mariah has recorded a collaboration with Stevie Wonder for her album "Me, I am Mariah the Elusive Chanteuse" he doesn't sing in the song but he is playing the Harmonica in the background. The song is called Make it look good. There is no part of Mariah Carey's range that she can't dominate, her 5 octaves and to semitones have been perfectly juiced throughout her entire career
Your reactions are always great. Yes, check out Stevie Wonder, he's a legend, and one of her biggest inspirations. Random songs from her I think you would like, one of my personal favorites is called "whenever you call", I prefer the original solo version. For some reason I think you would also like a remake she did with John legend called "with you I'm born again". Oh, also an obscure one called "right to dream" from a movie she did.
@@mattiapiraino710 help me Make it through the night from that soundtrack is too. I'm not Usually (sometimes) a country fan, but when she does it, it's always good.
Lol yes glad you’re back! Here’s another Mariah reaction we did recently, on top of a lot of other different ones we’ve done. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pmaD_FbdOh0.html
I might like the texture of her voice more during this time then in her youngest time but she seems to do overdo the runs to sort of cover for the lack of strenght in her voice to sing long notes.. Even though she is far from what she was its still enjoyable..
Side note, I think the pre-recorded vocal came in when she went up the octave, I’ve never seen this performer before but I heard the switch, she really mastered the art of lip syncing.

There was no pre-recorded vocals in this performance. Yes performers use pre-recorded tracks sometimes, but this wasn't one of those. Go check your ears and that switch you're hallucinating on.
