As a South African I can agree that there is assassinations in our country of lower politicians in one of our provinces but the media reports little to nothing on it. Glad someone talked to these people and brings it to light.
I hear that's Radio Grafifi's issue on twitch right now. He still hates AppleJack and the other folk down in Pony Town so it's good for him. Keeps coming back, like he has Stockholm Syndrome or something.
The honor and title of “journalist” should only be given to a select few like Mariana. I hold the Mexican journalists who are routinely assassinated for covering the cartel in the same esteem. It is hard to believe that the people at MSN, CNN, and Fox share the same title. Mariana is amazing.
She has a rock solid reputation. Read into it. She would never be able to get close if it wasn't for her reputation of protecting identity. Over 15 years of secrecy.
@@VinylMemoirsBut she's still set out dangerous people in a dangerous location. That's so counts for something even if that person turns out to be a fake.
I am very grateful I was born into a modest family/home with two adults who cared for me until I could care for myself. I cannot imagine how tough it is for some people. Now I am getting old I can understand that. Thank you God.
She has brass balls I have just about watched every documentary she has made and wow the places she has been, and the stories she has covered are just amazing She is an asset to humanity
because it's not true. There is not assains for hire being paid 80k or millions or any of that. This is nonsense, a lie, or this lady was duped by some nutjob
Farrrrrkkkk scary mate. I live in Australian in a city where there are no no go zones. Like the most dangerous place to be is a pub at 2am on a Sat or Sunday morning. Worst thing that could happen is you get punched in the head.
I am grateful to have known this incredible woman during 4 years of elementary school in Portugal and dare i say had the largest crush on her ( so did my brother whose class she was in). Keep up the awesome work Mariana! You were a treasure then and continue to be one today! :)
@@phillipsosa3353 Katt was definitely also talking about Bert and Tom. Probably Bryan Callen. Katt seemed bitter so I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he was also talking about Theo and Shane.
Back in my early journalism days I was an aspiring investigative journalist. For my college thesis I decided to challenge myself by writing an investigative piece on the biker wars of the 80s. I read every book on the subject, exchanged emails with a prominent 1%er, obtained court documents, and even interviewed former members of the OMC- WI Stateline chapter, as well as an agent from the FBI. I got my A but fuckin aye was it an unreal experience having beers and talking crime with two 1% bikers that would easily beat my ass for asking the wrong question. Also, I ended up in music journalism.
A female relative of mine who is older than me was dating a much younger black man (she is white) and they used to go to underground clubs. One night they were going into one of these clubs and a dude looks at her and her boyfriend who is young enough to be her son, sees her wedding ring (she is a widow) and hands her a card. An ACTUAL business card for a cleaning service (there was a an old Hoover vac as part of the logo) and she didn't realize until her BF told her later that it wasn't a maid service. Dude had actual business cards. She kept it and I saw it.
At least JRE is getting back to its basics that caught my attention.....haven't watched the full episode but more excited about this than watching the last few, white...hitchcliff....diaz....gillis...
MAD Respect to this Lady. This lady got the biggest balls. King Kong doesn't have nothing on her Being a fan of her since her days in the Vanguard show
About a year and a half ago, I had the pleasure to talk to her - I was at Lisbon airport and she passed by me while I was on my way to the US (she s Portuguese, btw). It was a brief encounter, but I was able to tell her that I knew who she was, loved her work, and that I ve been a friend of a relative of hers for more that two decades. She was very nice, polite and humble. I wish her all the best !! Cheers from Portugal
A professional assassin doesn’t do media interviews, especially in the US. Also bipolar and an inability to handle simple emotions aren’t traits of someone that’s made a career in a high risk setting.
Hollywood has taught you that assassins must be cool calm clinical and collected, not real life. Seems more plausible to me that the real ones are just unhinged and lucky to have not been caught yet.
No, your definition of a contract killer is based on movies. Real life is far less glamorous. Killers are unstable , not so handsome and charismatic people. They can’t fight their way of a full room. They are shitty people who do shitty things for money
its because he said "if you guys set me up, i can easily kill all of you" .. because I'm the only one with a gun. LOL. yeah this is a lie. whether shes lying or the guy was lying.. who knows. who knows if this guy even exists, or hes just a character to get her onto talk shows.
Hey Joe, tell Tony Hincliffe to fly my a** out to Austin please. I got a Stand Up to perform on Saturday night at the Mothership and I spent all my money on Funkos and Dry Erase Boards. Thanks Joe, you da man!
This woman is phenomenal at what she does, truly, and I don't like hyping up a woman or anyone and their ego, but she deserves the credit. Most "journalists" aren't that, just like most DJ'S, aren't. She's legit.
Some of Mark Laita's interview subjects could add to this topic. I know Joe has interviewed Mark but I can't think of any crossover. One specific guy Mark interviewed called "45" might be someone good for a JRE interview.
If you stay ready, you aint gotta get ready! I always think ahead and this interview made me so paranoid that I am now training to be an assassin, just in case I encounter an assassin... 😎
"Do you want to walk with me across the street and see what happens?" ... sure The answer there is no...the answer to even just go to South Africa and talk to a bunch of assassins, is no. Say it with me now....No.
Ha! I saw this lady and thought...she looks familiar. She interviewed me in 2010 or so for some drug documentary for vice I think. She came to my house with a camera crew and asked me to smoke on camera. She bought 2 of my watercolor paintings. I made it into the final video for a few seconds. They showed my face while theyt talked about drug addiction generically. It was hilarious.
I've seen this lady's show before. It's a bit like criminal tourism. She goes to these seedy places, gets fed a bunch of bullshit stories then runs back and does episodes on it. I do give her props for leaving the damn studio, that right there is worth a Pulitzer in this day and age.
