It really sucks that I can whole-broken-heartedly relate to every song on Astoria. Especially this one. Great songs, from an intricate soul. Fucking painful to listen to (clearly doesn't stop me though haha).

I absolutely love watching these guys perform. Sometimes you can open a video and click away to another tab and just listen to the song, but with MT I always have to hit full screen and enjoy the performance. :')

This is the most emotional song on this album for me (which is saying a lot). I am approaching 30 and will totally bawl when I see them do this live. It takes me back to a very specific moment, and expresses the complete desperation I felt. They never disappoint
this one's pretty emotional. I TOTALLY LOSE IT when I heat Dearly Departed, though. But really, every song on Astoria is so great I just cry through the whole album...

Ugh...these guys are KILLING me with this album! It's SO GOOD. Probably my favourite album ever of any band. The sounds and vibe of Astoria just work so well together and Josh's heart-breaking lyrics just add to it. AND THEN THERE'S THE HARMONIES *le angels sing*. This performance is amazeballz! I do have to say though...who the hell breaks up with someone who wrote THREE whole albums about them? I mean, nearly every MT song that comes on the radio would probably be about you. How could you walk away from that? Especially when the person's own words would keep reminding you how much they care at random times in the day. I get that relationships are hard and complicated and messy (I'm married), but three albums worth of perfectly woven love (and broken-hearted) poetry set to music, all with you as the subject, would make it easier to stay, IMO. Otherwise, it's just torture listening to the radio.
jessica jenkins That thought came to me after I listened to "Dearly Departed" and remembered that the other two albums were written with her in mind too. It just makes things worse that he dedicated Astoria to his dying mother and his ex-fiancee, stating that they were the most influential women in his life and that they made him better. So, heart-breaking.
Okay but like the fact that the camera zoomed in on Matt like 7 times(counted the guitar, it's on his body so it still counts) I love it...especially for someone who is Matts favorite of the band.
Seriously, I totally love these guys, especially when they sing live cause it's more obvious how good they are. I really wish I could see them perform in person (they did a small concert here once in our country, Philippines, but I wasnt able to go) so bad. :(
Lately I have been listening to a lot of Hedley and I seem to have forgotten how much I love these guys. Marianas Trench are absofuckinglutely AMAZING and this this justifies it. Josh's voice and pitch and range sends shivers down my spine and I love them!!!!!

Hey I'm Shay Marianas Trench played a secret live session for the Share a Coke thing back in September of 2014. They played several songs, While We're Young, and half of Wildfire (the half that Josh had finished writing back then).
Astoria has become one of my favourites. To be able to listen to every song on the album is rare but to love every song is even rarer. I thought Wildfire was my favourite, followed by Forget Me Not, One Love, and Who Do You Love and then I realized this song While We're Young was it! The first chords and I feel the air gets heavy and My heart feels like it's going to burst from my chest. My skin just tingles and the melody, the lyrics take me to place , another time. Can't wait to hear the next album, to watch these guys grow and the talent grow, I believe the best is yet to come!

Honestly this song seems to have more feeling when they perform it live like this, compared to offer their CD. As others have said, this song brings chills. True talent!
