I think it’s really important to note that Marinette hasn’t really stopped loving Adrien, she’s trying to escape her love for him and since she realized she felt something for Chat Noir she heavily pursued him in order to really deflect.

Somehow MariChat kiss was most romantically filled kiss out of all kisses we had in miraculous. Adding to that greatest build up (nose kiss had me done *-*) ). They were kissing each other multiple times with pure love. So gentle, sweet affection while being fully into moment without rush. It's #1 kiss for me. I understand why Chat noir thinks he would be taking advantage of Marinette but at the same time development between MariChat was the healthiest in the entire show. They started as friends who had fun, annoyed each other, helped each other and were honest with each other. No wonder it transformed into most natural love because both of them grew to love their ,,imperfect" sides instead of perfection side that are image of Adrien and Ladybug.

Id argue that the oblivio kiss, while not as built up, was just as good and genuine personally(I honestly think oblivio kiss was the most genuine since they literally had nothing keeping their feelings bottled up from them

Marinette has actually nearly been akumatized 4 times. 1. Zombizu where Chloe wronged her and she wanted to deal with the injustice 2. Chameleon where Lila threatened to ruin her life and she couldn’t do anything about it, thus making her want to reveal her lies and being justice 3. Ladybug (sentibug) where she was wronged by Lila and everyone turned on her, getting her expelled, making her want to deal with Lila via justice Honourable mention: chat blanc where she was unfairly forced by Gabriel to stop dating adrien because if she didn’t he’d be pulled out of school. Elation means "great happiness and exhilaration". It's that feeling of joy that is so intense that clouds our minds and make us do things in a whimp, which is basically what happened in this episode between Marinette and Cat Noir. Their feelings of elation caused them to act like lovebirds while disregarding the issues regarding a possible relationship between them. Basically, Elation it's Jubilation taken to an all new level that goes beyond what is reasonable happiness.

This was their actual first proper kiss. I love Marichat, I also love Alya. I hope Adrien can have Nino support him with his love life and identity too. I mean sure many people think he isn't trustworthy, but Adrien is his best friend, and his identity as Cat Noir is more important. I just don't see him betraying his best friend's trust like that :)

This is my favorite as a huge Marichat shipper!! But hearing this in French with their soft voices it was perfect!!! I still enjoy the kiss scene in English, Spain Spanish & French. In the community we have been saying for years that Marichat is the ship that can go from friendship to lovers because Chat & Marinette are their true selfs around each other.

I wouldnt say marinette's true self is marinette. I kind of thought oblivio showed that marinette's true self is more in-between while Adrian's is mostly cat noir. Then again, it has been a while since I've seen oblivio.

They were happy Zamber! they were happy for an instant 😭 If in Jubilation Gabriel discovered that CN and Lb loved each other, I think connecting two brain cells is enough to realize some things here... 🙄 And I know CN now loves Marinette who is a different person to him, but Gabriel doesn't know that and it didn't even occur to him that she could be Ladybug which was the MOST LOGICAL thing to think, not even a suspicion!

Keep in mind that Marinette was interested in Cat Noir long ago, her feelings for him are genuine, but she couldn't realize those feelings due to a very specific reason, this will be touched on later. Sad thing is, Marinette knew a relationship with Cat Noir could lead to Cat Blanc, but now that she knew she loves Cat Noir, she couldn't help finding some way to make things work. Her solution to the problem was being in a relationship with Cat Noir without ever knowing who he was. But now that she knew neither a relationship with Cat Noir or Adrien is possible without risking loosing the miraculous, Marinette gave into her despair as she realizes that despite wanting to live her life as a normal girl and live out the love story she so desperately wanted, she cant, Marinette can never be just a normal girl anymore so long as she bares the responsibility as hero to Paris. Just like how Marinette realized her feelings for Adrien made her do terrible things, like loosing the miraculous, Cat Noir realized that his love for Ladybug could make him do terrible things, like being willing to cataclysm a person. To clarify, Marinette and Cat Noir are not falling out of love for one another, those feelings are still there but due to various reasons, they have no other choice but to try to set aside their feelings.

Yeah, many Miraculers feel like Glaciator's akumatization have become ridiculous. I mean, the first one was good and the scarlet version was understandable. But then we have "Glaciator 2" and "Elation" and his motives to be akumatized are always the same. I mean, the dude really needs to get a life of his own instead of meddling in others' relationships and decide who one should love.

It drives me up the wall sometimes how the shipping in this show can just turn in a different direction. That can be both a good and bad thing, but it's mainly just fascinating how the characters who should like each other somehow miss each other and yet hit the mark all at the same time. It's like watching two people trying to highfive and fist bump at the same time and keep switching awkwardly until they get it right.

Thoughts: Andre wins the Creep of the Year award I was actually annoyed that Gabe could have created a Villain called UNMASKER this whole time This episode masterfully displayed the use of cringe in its own advantage. We all expected those scenes to be the same old flavor of awkward this show got us used to. But then they blast us with such genuine, delicate and beautiful scene, it hits so much harder

I don't think Gabriel can just create villains that he wants. They have to feel very specific negative emotions, and Gabriel gives them powers based on what they desire most. (Ex. Luka became a truth villain bc he wanted to find out the truth). So Marinette desperately wanted to unmask cat noir even though she said she was fine w him and the mask, to maybe understand why he didnt wanna take advantage of her. Plus that was the only situation where a superhero was romantically involved in the negative feelings. Also Andre is a creep and way too obsessed with children but we all knew that

Wait if he can make a Unmasking villain... then why can't he... akumatize himself? Become unmasker, use illusions of some villains to lair Ladybug and Cat Noir out, use Resistance on a Shellter and trap them in it, voyage in, unmask them, dissapear and ambush them the next day. He can even voyage into his sons bedroom at night, venom him, get the cat, and then use him as a hostage for Marinette to appear.

This is the second time Marinette was nearly akumatized. The first time was when Lila had her expelled by framing her for a crime she didn't commit. Scarlett Moth at the time would have succeeded (Marinette was even about to remove her earrings) had Nathalie not had another moment where her sickness took over. His concentration had broke and everyone was freed. There was also in the alternate timeline in Chat Blanc, but Cat Noit cataclysmed the akuma before it reached her. And when Lila was getting on her last nerve, but she pushed the akuma away be remaining positive.

Cat Noir officially confirmed Ladybug that he destroyed his feelings for her, considering that’s how she wanted him to be. Also he does love Marinette but can’t be with her because of responsibilities so give up on her forcefully and it hurts him more than twice compare to ladybug. It's interesting how the show is slowly turning Adrinette into endgame with more certainty. Ladrien ship never really set sailed (you can count with the fingers of only one hand how it happened). Marichat died in this episode. Meanwhile, LadyNoir became platonic. So that means that only Adrinette remained.

Even though i don't ship MariChat i enjoy this episode! In fact my two favorite parts of the episode is in the beginning when Ladybug tries to get Cat Noir to have a roof top dinner with her, And when Marinette and Cat noir are on different rooftops acting all lovely dovey and goofy toward each other.

I agree with Zamber's thoughts about this episode, so I won't repeat them. But also, even if understand that it wasn't right for them to kiss each other as Marinette and Chat Noir, I really really like it still. This is the first time when both of them wanted to do it, had mutual adoration, actually went for it, and then they didn't forget it, and it wasn't rewinded/canceled/misinterpreted. I like their other ships all the same, but I'm so happy that Marichat has their first completely real kiss.

fun fact, everytime andre ws akumatized, was due to marinette/ partly marinette's fault in some way, glaciator: marinette thinks andre's magic won't work, glaciator 2: 1/2 chat noir's fault for riling up ladybug, 1/2 ladybug's fault for 1, not giving andre a charm, 2, for denying her love for chat noir, and Elation: for breaking andre's heart

I really love this episode I like that Marinette is having a crush on Cat noir. The kissing scene was great and I love their date but I did want to see Marinette as an amukatized villain in this episode.

Maricat is great. But Marinette always has been either a whinny brat or a jerk to Cat Noir. So I dont ship it anymore. Elation is fine but screw Andre! I hate him! Also Ladybug trying to kiss Cat Noir when he didn't want it. Yeah. EMERGENCY MEETING! Also the end of the episode with Plagg trying to cheer Adrien up was very sweet. Especially with Adrien telling Plagg he's the best. I love their friendship so much. Also I hate how they erased Wayhem as Adrien's friend! Wayhem was awesome! I miss him from season 2 and 3. And season 5 episode 2!

When I first saw this episode, I was disappointed with how they changed the Marinette/Chat Noir dynamic. Out of the whole 'love square', that pairing was my favorite because they were consistently shown to be very *casual* and forthcoming with each other in a way Marinette and Adrien never showed anyone else before. The way they let down their guard around each other was surprisingly charming, so when this episode premiered, I was immensely disappointed with how they just flipped the Adrien/Ladybug dynamic.

I doubt it. I truly believe that Adrien is over his feelings for ladybug. While Marinette very clearly still loves Adrien(as shown in previous episodes), I don't think Adrien will loves ladybug like that
