I think it was good that you said out loud which products bring you joy and which dont. It really is important in knowing what you want to take with you into your future and which ones to leave behind for your past self 🌸

I’m not big on the Urban Decay eyeshadow formula either! So glad I’m not alone. I grabbed the Naked when it was discontinued and it just muddied. And I don’t love the Aphrodisiac palette like I thought I would. I was really disappointed with the Naked because it’s such a “classic “

Beautiful collection, but why do people feel they have to declutter so much of their make-up? If you paid for it, and you like it and keep it, don't apologize. If I see a declutter with a large collection where someone just let go of five, it's a success to me.

Lu Hughes I agree I feel like people put a lot of pressure for others to get rid of like half their products. I know some people have to like if they’re moving across the country. But if u don’t have to, and you love everything, then you don’t have to get rid of half ur stuff unless u really don’t want it :).

This video was really interesting to watch. I loved to see you look at the colors of each palette and think about the formulas then say out loud whether or not they brought you joy. I also really liked the way you thanked a few of the palettes that you had loved and had brought you joy but no longer did. (I know this is a major part of the Kondo Marie method but it was cool seeing someone actually do it.) I’m also glad to see someone else say that they aren’t super fond of Urban Decay. I’ve recently come to that same realization about myself. Anyway this was a great video!

You did pretty good. And at the end of the day it`s not about numbers, but what makes you feel good and what you enjoy. The rest is just standing in the way. 😊 Also I noticed a lot of people commenting stop with the "it brings me joy". I didn`t mind it at all, I thought that was the idea of this declutter. I sort of agree with you on Urban Decay. The mattes are fine for me, they blend easily, but shimmers are weird, not sure why but they`re always dry and flakey on me. No matter which palette, actually the only one that wasn`t like that was Troublemaker. 🤔

I tried to declutter my eyeshadow palette but it was so difficult. I believe I decluttered 19 palettes and kept 160. So hard to declutter!

I love watching declutter videos! I currently have 70+ eyeshadow palettes and I want to do a massive declutter! I’m using one palette every day for each week of this year to see which ones I like or won’t use, and then will hopefully get rid of about 30-40 at the end of the year!

I dont understand collecting makeup especially eyeshadow palettes, they take so long to use up and a lot of the colours in those palettes are repetitive; why have 50 palettes with the same shades?

I feel the same. I think some people feel makeup is like a hobby maybe? And therefore they purchase it for their collection. Sort of like a musician or athlete that may collect guitars or baseball bats. I know for me, all this would drive me nuts lol. I wish I could just collect artwork with makeup colors. 🤔 But I do enjoy makeup videos. 😊

Different palette have different formulas, packaging , color placements . These variants are what makes us differentiate from a similar color scheme palette and thus one feels like keeping it for one of those variants .

I wonder why you keep much of the plastic sheets and packaging. That seems unnecessary and like added clutter that you just don't need. Did you notice that you were fussing around a lot with them? I understand that things can get messy (though I've found that even without those things, mine have not) but, at the same time, you could also easily wipe things down. So please consider that.

I enjoyed this but half way through had to stop watching because of the words: "This palette really brings me joy!" I am not being mean it is just annoying t hear that same phrase over and over each time you go through a palette. Great declutter by what I did see. LOL

I was thinking that you need to expand your vocabulary with words that are positive such as: This makes me feel beautiful, this is happiness in a palette. LMAO I say that one all the time with mine.
