MARILLION....THE most underrated band. Steve Rothery....THE most underrated guitarist. This band deserves more radio attention, especially here in America. They are 100% better, and have more talent than the overrated bands/artists heard on the radio today. MARILLION have stood the test of time...thru Fish's departure in 1988 to the present day. Have the utmost respect of both MARILLION & Fish. Not healthy to hold grudges.
**** everyone Marillion are back .. 2 fingers to the "music" industry, you know nothing... If you had any sense you would get the band on every radio and tv show to see how to make great music for 30 odd years.. BRAVE you bet they are ... Listen and Learn...
Here in Germany, Marillion once was introduced on a TV-Show in the 80s as "Cinema for the ears". And I loved it from the very first moment. You guys guided me trough my life. Through good times ful of light and love and through bad times full of fear and pain. And I'm still digging for truth and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for getting old(er) with me in such a honest and fair way. Thank you ❤️
Marillion are therapy for a fucked up world. And they are the only group to truly deal with the way the world really is in it's evil. They have always shined a light onto the evil to expose it as it truly is. Their music goes into your soul through the mind with deep sounds, and changes, not like anyone, more unique than the unique bands in the best possible way. Think of songs like House, and Interior Lulu, A Few Words For the Dead, Invisible Man, Neverland, Somewhere Else, Quartz, etc. These songs are unlike any group, and every group seems like a phoney trying to reach what Marillion has always accomplished. The song Beautiful is a song that I love singing, or Strange Engine, or Waiting to Happen. And this is not to mention everything with Fish. Just the best.
I am almost climbing up the walls with excitement and anticipation. Share the video so other people can find a better way of life. Marillion once again being trailblazers in the music world. Thank you, guys for your dedication and passion, and for always giving us the best of you. Much love ❤
Being a fan since 1997 and a special connection with Brave since my ‘beginning’ with Marillion, I believe this album is so conceptionally beautiful and ‘spot on’ I can only listen in absolute awe....
"It's very intense." "A lot of this album is shot through with a sense of foreboding and a feeling that a tidal wave is coming. A storm is coming. That's my worst fear." They've outdone themselves. I'm so grateful to have tickets for NYC and Philly.
H, your right about bailouts etc and the companies get help. Yet like myself I took ill with two mini strokes and a lung condition. I lost my job, lost my home over the mortgage, and now in a dead lock with the DLA benefit appeals at my DLA was cut from £300 to about £85 per month, which I am still battling against eight months on. No help for me, chronical depressed, anxiety & panic attacks, and suicidal over everything four years now. I try to still alive for my wife, daughter and registered blind mother and no other family care either.
Love this album so much. I listened to it pretty much on repeat throughout Covid isolation. Then one day it just disappeared off Apple Play here in South Africa.
I had a good friend of mine introduce me to Marillion in 1984, when we both came back to the US from our overseas tours. I have been a follower of them ever since. Very underrated in the US and that is a shame.
What a brilliantly filmed and edited interview - trailer! Marillion - you beautiful people I salute you for your lyrical and musical beliefs, translated into perfectly build music of yours. Above all I thank you for the past 25 years of incredible and amazing musical journey that had huge impact on many fans of yours! H, I cannot wait to load your FEAR album into my iPhone and listen to it on my long bike rides! cheers guys! m
omg I wanna go to DENVER this year to see them... this band is quite possibly one of the greatest bands ever walk this planet their music grips my soul from the moment it begins and doesn't let go until the last note... I have been listening since I was 20 years old I'm now 48 and is always been what seems an unreachable unobtainable moment for me to be able just to be in the presence of these amazing artists and to be able to experience the beauty other music I don't know if I'll be able to make that show in Denver unfortunately I'm not financially free to do that I'll be working a lot of graveyard shifts and serving a lot of of pancakes at IHOP these next few months saving my dollars just have the experience of a lifetime I will a blessing from God above if I'm able to make it if not not knowing if ever but I will always a huge fan in love with their music thank you guys for enriching my life and touching my soul with your music and if I'm never able to catch your show just know my heart has been in it and will always be in it keep up the good work and God bless you and yours
Amen! I was very fortunate to have lived close to Grand Rapids Michigan and could see them live twice in the late 80's and early 90 ' s when the radio station WLAV turned us all on to them. Been in love with their music ever since! I am an ipod person and love the fact that I can put my sound canceling head phones on, hop on the zero turn lawn mower, and mow to my hearts content; I live in the country and mow everything in site, my horse pasture as well as the roadsides along the cornfields. Marbles has been my album of choice this summer. Not many groups out there you can enjoy their whole album without having to skip a song or two.
I would say Cheri! GO SEE MARILLION! It's not this often they ever come to the US, much less to Denver or anywhere around the central US outside Chicago and (a Sunday) in Milwaukee. You won't regret it! Tix are only $39 + fees. How far is Denver from where you live?
I remember when Brave came out, I didn't care for it. Why? I don't know. I liked some of the individual pieces but couldn't listen to it as a whole piece. A few years later, the Made Again live album came out with Brave played live in its entirety. That's when the album clicked for me, that energy from the audience added to the performance and I was hooked. I'm looking forward to F.E.A.R., but I'm going to let the music flow in its own time. I know it's going to be an a message amazing work, I just have to remember to allow the music to be.
Absolutely NOTHING like Brave. Quite the opposite in fact. You've heard it all before with this album. Part STCBM and part Happiness is the Road. Every single track reminds me that I most certainly have heard it all before. The real highlight is The Leavers and parts of El Dorado. On a whole, slightly better than STCBM which I loathe. 4/10 for mine.
Listen to it ten more times. This album has an identity all it's own, you just need time to find it. Put the effort in, you'll be rewarded, trust me. It's tons better than just about everything they've done. I'm not winding you up or pulling your leg, just give it a chance to grow on you. You'll thank me in the end. Cheers.
My God a storms coming... that's my worse F.E.A.R; well he wasn't wrong there! Definitely one of the best albums they've done, if not the best. I fear for the future as they can't cap this...can they ? I just hope the direction for number 18 is totally different again so we just can't compare and maybe then it can be even greater. Or am I just selfishly clutching at straws ?
I'm sure you guys will make me cry when I listen to the album for the 1st time. I loved the interviews, the videos and the bits of the songs! I can't wait!
Very much worth waiting for. Sounds like a CLASSIC to me. "Brave" was my previous favourite album, this one might topple it to no.2 ! ? ! ? The gig in Manchester (Nov 28th) is going to be a very special night,I'm sure (possibly even better than the 5 others I've been fortunate enough to attend).
while I am so thrilled if they are in the United States and that others are able to be blessed to go and see them play I can't help but feel a bit brokenhearted that I was unable to go unfortunately it just wasn't God's will in my life at this time hoping and praying that the day will come I will be able to experience the beautiful sound of these wonderful artists God bless you. And thank you for all of your wonderful music be well stay blessed
Cheri Daugherty ...Cheri, I really apriciate your words and your feelings. I am from Germany and it's wonderful to hear such words of you! I am also believing in God's grace and I am a fan since the mideighties. Sorry, my english is'nt that good as it should be. But I am so happy that there are still people that lives love...thank you Cheri!
I'm very much looking forward to this album, as I am a HUGE Marillion fan, as well as a HUGE Prog-Rock fan. Albums like Misplaced Childhood & Brave are two of my all-time personal favs! So, if the style of this album is similar, based on my love of Marillion's musical talent, I'm quite sure I'll thoroughly enjoy it.
Funny, because for me the ipod is the device that let's me take their albums to the only place I am able to shut out the world and focus on all the soul satisfying nuances of their respective musical mastery. Bose sound canceling head phones, my ipod classic and 4 straight hours on a zero turn lawnmower listening to Marrillion albums straight thru over and over without interruption is my best day!
Fantastic trailer............. A band of immense talent and Bravery which every inspiring musician should listen to once in their life..... can we please have some screen savers from this to adorn our PCs please...........please.........
Ex Squeeze me -- maybe another listen to middle of Gaza for one of Rothers very best. Hasn't the end of STCBM become an audience worship moment to the guitar god !? But I agree the solo in The leavers, especially live, is in my top 3 guitar sounds of all time, along with Comfortably Numb and Firth of Fifth.
@@robinmaxwell2111 not a fan of STCBM. Leaves me cold, especially the poor epics like Montreal and Sky Above the Rain. Both are missing that magic spark that sprawls most of their other epics. Gaza is like a disjointed song. It's OK but far from essential and the political message is lost on me.
@@H3LLY72 This conversation shows why the band continues - their fans have very different views about most of their music. I was in a relative minority that enjoys Radiation.
@@robinmaxwell2111 no you're not. We are. 😁 A Few Words For the Dead is in my top 10. Born to Run and Three Minute Boy aren't far behind either. Most fans disliked the production but I much prefer the original to the remix.
