Totally awesome woman and vocalist...... I remember listening this and the the 5th dimension from the age of 8 and on...... and im 59 now and still listen to it ritually. Nothing like the older music comparing to the trashy music of today. That was real music and true lyrics.

I wonder what it feels like to sing like this. It's got to feel amazing. I wish a singer could put into words what it feels like when they sing a song like this. What would it it feel like gliding from one note to another like an eagle. I'm not a singer but when I hear songs like this, I wish I could sing.

Marilyn and a mic. No auto-tune... just a voice used like a Steinway or Stradivarius. Amazing.

The thing with Marilyn aside from all the things that people usually observe which are great but what puts her a notch above even the very best is she does it just sing the music to demonstrate her talents she truly becomes part of the story and lives within the lyric and that is a quality that only the best of the best possess and she exemplifies that better than any female or male vocalist in history.... just look at the emotional exhaustion at the end of some of her very moving and touching numbers. This can be very draining especially after years and years of Performing the same music you have to really love the music and be devoted to it to still bring that out after 30 or 40 years and that is really what separates her from even the group of the very best and is not lost on any true fan it's easy to overlook that with her because it has always been there and for most people is taken for granted until you hear somebody else try to pull off one of her songs that's why so very few even bother to try...

I always loved this song and Marilyn's incredibly beautiful voice.

Marilyn was my babysitter on The Mike Douglas Show when my Aunt was a producer and she took my Mom to see Mikes New Dressing room replacing Jessica Savitches who was dethroned by Mike Douglas as the big star at KYW tv 3 in Philadelphia. Years later i would meet Marilyn again and she remembered and said boy Scotty you have grown. Marilyn in my eyes will always be class and shes going through a hard time now with Billy Davis Jr. Going through cancer. God Bless both Marilyn and Billy

I was 14 and had already met the 5th Dimension and connected with Marilyn, I was just a child. I loved their music. At 14 I had a secret love, and Marilyn McCoo sang this song, this beautiful song. I was 14 when I first heard this on the radio. This, in the middle of the Who, Elton John, Argent, Bowie, Led Zeppelin and my other favorite hard rockers of the day. It stopped me in my tracks. I really felt the story and this remains one of my great memories of jr high. MM is truly incomparable at the top of my list of singers along with Karen Carpenter, Barbra Streisand and Judy Garland. Stunning performance!

So touch that I can feel it inside out, but sad to say when Ms. Mc Coo, gets aged she has a hard time in her control affecting the quality of her soulful voice. I've heard several of her recordings in her advance age lately, the passion and emotions still there but not as powerful as before. Maybe all artist is, But Marilyn McCoo, is one on top of my favorite list. How i wish everybody retains its crafts and talents.
