Good god what a GREAT vocal. This woman is one of the most blessed vocalists there has ever been.

Mrs Maccoo is no to be compared to any one. I too admired and loved the other divas of her time not knowing who she was. She is truly underrated no one of her time could have sung ( One less bell) the way she did. I heard it was offered to others and they refused to sing it. Streisand resing it but lack the vocal ranged to really deliver it. Mrs Maccoo is a true diva.

She was at her absolute peak in the 1980's. Compare her voice and singing with Lady Gaga, Madonna, Britney Spears, or just about any female "vocalist" of the last generation. Well, try to compare; there is no comparison.

Beautiful! I always prefer the "girls" of other generations not mine, especially the hotties of the 60s, this lady looked and sang better even 10 years later.

Love Marilyn and her voice. But the tempo of this song is too fast. It's much better a bit slower, IMHO...

She's not really black, you know. She's an eccentric/rich white lady from fifth avenue who wanted to be black, so she had an operation.
