beautiful, vulnerable, talented, smart, mysterious, childlike, ahead of her time, joyful, sad, lost, brave, sexy, feminine, scarred, funny, ethereal, one and only Marilyn Monroe I hope you found what you were looking for and that your smile is still shining brightly and joyfully wherever you are... Rest in Peace
Miss Marilyn Monroe, never lived life long enough ever to visually see herself grow older and wrinklier. Her two eyes only had a chance to view how soft and smooth and silky her skin was. Her hair styles and makeup and facial features and fine framed fit feminine female figure. Forthright for fame and financial funded fortunes = $$$
@@ARTISTCHD1 true if she had a Father and mother to run to r just Family to be with she could maybe had survived Hollywood ..drama ...but she had no one when she needed help ..she was like a lost child that didn't know what to do...
Charles Davis they use Nembutal for executions of convicted criminals . Her crime was to be everyone's desire even the Kennedy's loved her but she either knew too much or she was in the way of political scandals.
She is beautiful, I cannot believe that the contexts and what theologians call historical cotexts of her life are not taken into account by the Judge of all the earth who does right judgement.
Marilyn Monroe was let down by all the people who surrounded her. They all knew what she was going through. But they all stood by and did nothing to help her. It's so sad because she could've been helped. Dean Martin showed he was very patient with her and loyal. She will be forever young and a icon. No one will ever forget her and her beauty. R.l.P
OH BULLSHIT...SHE LET DOWN EVERYONE AROUND HER. they had to wait on her for calling in sick, they gave her every chance anyone would want to tolerate. She had it all, she was a nut job, spoilt, selfish, insecure DITZY BIMBO.
Well, there will always be mean people to defame even the sweetest people on Earth. The way such judgmental people bash their victims actually speak more about themselves than about their targets. I prefer to see her relation to Mr. Gable in another light and this excerpt of this article is a good example of what must have really happened about the two: " ... When John Clark Gable was born in 1961, Kay invited Marilyn to his christening. She wore a black veil but her mood brightened when Kay asked her to hold the baby, indicating that she held no grudge. ..." www.immortalmarilyn.com/marilyn-clark-gable/ Also: " ... Monroe was terrified at the thought of working with Clark Gable. As a child growing up in foster homes and with her single mother, she had slept with Gable's picture under her pillow and fantasized that he was her father. The night before their first scene together, she couldn't sleep without a large dose of Nembutal. As a result, she was two hours late getting to the set. When she apologized to Gable, he simply said, "You're not late, honey," and led her aside to talk. Throughout the filming, he treated her with the same courtesy. ..." "... When Gable learned that the film's publicist was ready to quit because Monroe kept skipping or showing up late for on-set interviews, he offered to meet with the press while the publicist got her to the interviews. He not only kept the press happy, but his presence made it easier for Monroe to face the reporters. ..." www.tcm.com/this-month/article/191117%7C0/Behind-the-Camera-The-Misfits.html
Tom bryan there's not one person alive today nor many that have died that said or wrote one unkind thing about Marilyn. Yet here you are, a total stranger, probably not even a wink in your mother's eye while Marilyn was alive, speaking ill of the dead. Tom, how do you possibly know these things you say to be true? Are you a Roma?
James Butera Yes truly beautiful but a lot of people don't realize that very early on her handlers talked her into getting a nose job and getting something put in her chin so it wouldn't look receded from the side.. I can't recall if I looked at earlier photos of her to discern this or not but I think I did years ago and I think I could see the difference... but she still was stunning earlier on none the less
Sue Yes I agree she was lit from within and the only two people you were ever hear people say that about was both Marilyn Monroe and Greta Garbo... I've never heard anyone say that about any of the more modern actresses.. those two were both said to have had a certain type of Luminosity which yes comes from within but what I am saying is that Marilyn did still have a little bit of cosmetic surgery and most people don't believe... what's even weirder is when modern-day actresses who are already really good looking get surgery and one of them was Angelina Jolie... if you look at her nose sideways that used to look a little bit like a lump of clay even though she was still attractive and she had the tip of the nose made straight and I think it's weird when some of those actresses do everything they can to look perfect and then have false modesty when people tell them how gorgeous they are when they know they are striving to look as perfect and young as possible. That's why I have more respect in a way for people like Joan Rivers and even the greedy Sharon Osbourne when they talk about the fact that they have had work done on their face because at least they are being honest about that rather than having the false modesty which is a little bit sickening to watch
gardenofthegods I think what's sad about Marilyn's plastic surgery is that the film studies made her have the surgery. It wasn't something Marilyn had even thought of herself and in my opinion it further cemented Marilyn's belief that she wasn't beautiful or worthy and lead her down the path of self destruction. Marilyn was destine from a from a young age to live a tragic, lonely life. There's nothing sadder than to be surrounded by people that love and adore you and to still feel alone inside.
At 36, they describe her as an " aging woman". She was still beautiful and sexy. I know she had many problems, but the industry eats it's "older women", while older men just seem finer as they age! It's a sad reallity still.
Agree that she was still beautiful at 36, but I think you are perpetuating a myth. Older men in general age just as well or poorly as women (Cary Grant excepted). The thing is, there are many more supporting roles for men in movies than there are for women, so men don't need to worry as much about aging out and not finding working. In real life, 2019, I see at least as many good looking 40-50 year old women as I do men. It's a myth that women age faster than men.
Barbara Ball I’m 41, and people think my college aged son is my brother or boyfriend. Always gotten brother... the other is new, but it’s fine. My point is, I really see how people from my generation are aging differently. Probably because we were the first to have in drummed into us not to smoke, drink, tan without sunblock, etc.

I never trusted that Mrs. Murray, nor that weird doctor that was controlling her every move. If Marilyn had been suicidal before, why did they allow her to keep her own pills? Mrs. Murray was hired by that doctor to spy on Marilyn, so why didn't they have her dispense Marilyn's meds, instead of letting her self medicate? Too many weird things happened.
@@CatherineSTodd a living Angel. forever young. forever alive. I dont believe Bobby Kennedy was the cheating type but the affair with prez K. put her in danger for sure. years of thinking on it, this is how I see it. i was 11 yrs old when she died. I loved her just as much as Shirley Temple.

The most heartbreaking part is that she regretted her decision and tried to call for help, at least she is at peace, what a very unappreciated woman, I love you Marilyn xx
Kookie cat ...can you please tell us where you heard this... did you read it or was this explain to you by somebody in the industry... Anything you can tell us about this is appreciated especially if you can go into detail because I would really want to know what you know.

@Lady Fervor Interesting theory Lady Fervor... definitely possible. A lot of intelligent people of her time believed her death was part of a larger conspiracy. I just never heard this theory before. Later, I am going to research your theory further, thank you. But I can't help but think that if she wasn't in the grip of alcohol and drug addiction, she would not have been considered such a risk to powerful men who had reasons she was more valuable dead than alive. Some possible threats from a living, breathing Marilyn Monroe: her causing Fox Studios to lose millions on a unfinished, over budget film that she was unable to complete; so dead they would recoup their losses through a Studio purchased life insurance policy, or possibly blabbing about her affair with the Kennedy brothers, which could irrevocably ruin their political careers, and finally fear of Marilyn leaking information she overheard from the Italian Mafia bosses with whom she socialized, meaning with her death she'd no longer be a threat to them! Regardless, anyone's death surrounded by a life consumed with drugs, alcohol, depression and possibly mental health issues is always such a painful, dreadful, unacceptable loss! Weirdly, 50+ years later Addiction Medicine has come far, yet it still has a way to go in the U.S. Other countries who don't incarcerate addicts, but offer drug and alcohol support and treatments are way ahead of us in lowering their active users per capita. (This explanation would require to much space to fit in this essay). But back in Marilyns time I don't think that the Medical/Psychological establishment, nor society at large, quite knew how to guide, support and treat her specific issues. Maybe that is why so many people who knew her appeared to have given up on her; thinking she lacked will power, self control and confidence to pull herself out of the emotional/mental/addiction hole that she found herself in? Another theory is that her friends/acquaintances incorrectly thought they were showing her 'tough love' by ignoring her behavior as crys for help? (But in my in mind Peter Laughfords behavior was unforgivable for someone who was supposed her friend, as was his wife. But blaming addiction on a lack of will power or inner strength has proven false in our time, even though society at large still holds such archaic ideas! Psychological sciences have proven these ideas are not valid! Addiction is not an issue solved by stronger self control or will power! The Diagnostic Manual explain substance abuse and addiction as a psychical and mental disease which requires physical and mental intervention and treatment, along with a lifetime of loving, patient, nonjudgemental support and guidance to stay sober. And it is possible to live successfully not controlled by substance abuse as I have several relative's who have been sober many years. If only Marilyn had access to those same resources, such as AA (Alcoholics Anonymous), or NA (Narcotics Anonymous), maybe her story would have ended differently.... Regardless of the reasons Marilyn lost her life, every soul is precious. Marilyn Monroe's tragic death was preventable, which makes it all the more tragic in my mind! But due to her substance and mental issues she was treated like a joke! Maybe tough love was necessary at an earlier time in Marilyns life, who's to say? I do not know, nor am I brave enough to guess. But when she called Peter Laughford sounding sedated and frightened, he was given an opportune chance to help her when in desperation she reached out to him. And as we humans so often do, he failed her. Heartbreaking.... If only he had called her personal physician, instead of calling Rooney instead... and what on earth was his intention in calling Rooney instead of someone who could really help her? It sounds like he called Rooney to gossip, but Rooney, concerned, called her Dr. So why then didn't her personal maid respond to the Dr's call about Marlyns well-being by checking up on her? The whole situation sounds wrong!!! This is where everything breaks down for me. On top of her personal maids lack of concern for Marilyns safety and well-being, why did the maids story change several times throughout the years if she was indeed telling the truth? This reaks of a conspiracy to coverup the truth of how Marilyn died, and why! Ugly business to be sure. I'd love for a exceptional private investigator to see if the maid ever came into some unexplained money or resources, like a nice car, condo or home? Maybe one or all those things were used as the maids over-up 'compensation'? This is all speculation on my part, of course. As a self proclaimed 'couch detectives', like so many of us are, we can speculate till the end of days and never know the whole truth about Marilyns demise. But it's still so very sad, because all of us deserve to be treated with respect even after we pass on. And calling Marilyns death a suicide, if it wasn't suicide, is very disrespectful. Marilyn Monroe, you deserved more compassion, more understanding and more loving attention from the people in your life. Rest in peace, sweet lady. You will never be forgotten!
She was threatened when she was going to come out about her affairs with the Kennedy’s. They tried to shut her up but she wanted to hold a press conference and tell the world. They shut her up and made it look like a suicide. That’s been proven and this documentary is very biased and not telling the truth about everything
That housekeeper(if you want to call her that, Ha!) was and old --probably judgemental women that obviously did not care about Marilyn. If you are caring for a woman that has had mental difficulties, and someone asks you to check on her....thoughtless, lazy woman....was probably woken out of her sleep and did not want to be bothered. Hope she's burning in hell. The fact that she already had rigamortis means she was dead for hours and then they wait even longer to call the police......very highly suspect. As for Robert Kennedy.................of course he cheated...everyone knows that...and Marilyn was NOT the first or the last.
The reference of "a joke" is stated several times in this video. Marilyn was never a joke, she was a beautiful woman who was vulnerable to misguiding harmful jokesters. She rests in heaven with others who have been taken away from us in a harmful way.
She was magnificent and if she could see how much she is still loved and respected her heard would be at peace. Respect to the Lady for always and forever.
I certainly hope she is at peace. However, our heart's peace is not determined by how much we were loved and respected by strangers, for an image created by Hollywood. Our hearts are at peace in eternity if we accepted Christ as our Savior. God created us, Christ died for us. Hollywood and the idols it creates only matter in this fallen world. I pray Marilyn new that, and is in heaven.💕
I like to look at photos of Marilyn sometimes when I feel sad. She has such joy and vulnerability in her face and her beauty is not threatening but comforting...
I find the whole thing a REAL WASTE of a beautiful life! A LOT MORE could have been done by her Doctor to ensure her " safe handling" thru this obviously difficult period of her life. So very sad.
Dolly Parton has said that " It takes a lot of money to look this cheap" ... I think in MM's case, it took a lot of talent to "act" that " dumb " ( which she surely was not ) .
Back then probably. Different era - different attitudes. Nowadays we're living longer, celebrities have access to nutritional treatments they never had back then and things continue to evolve on the longevity science front.
"Hundreds of photos were taken over a 3 day shoot. Some of the images revealed the sad, vulnerable, and aging woman behind the actress' platinum blonde hair and makeup." How sad that the media were writing MM off as "aging" when she was just 36!
She looked very young but, being 37 myself, I noticed myself aging around 35. They say humans look their best around 26 but she looks so beautiful still at 36 ❤️
I know - she can't say it is because she saw her earlier. That would be an unnatural response. If someone calls because they believe someone might not be okay, you check.
She was an old, lazy judgemental bitch....and couldn't be bothered....obviously did not like Marilyn. I'm sure we'd all agree.....wouldn't YOU get up and check on a woman with Marilyn's sad history?
Women related to Marilyn's pain and childlike lost girl dilemma because every woman struggles in one way or another. It's a brutal, cruel world sometimes. 😢
Ingrid Ramos Ingrid.... that is what I meant. By saying the world I meant the inhabitants... Yes... God created the earth and it was good and man has ruined it. The world is very cruel because we are all human, imperfect and although we say we are believers with our mouths our actions don't reflect who we say we are. Why the caps? I would have understood without them.
Anonymer Benutzer Someday we will all be gone... one way or another and those with forgiven hearts will live forever in paradise. May you find peace... there is a peace that surpasses understanding. Happy Holidays.
Raechel Barentson it's true, women cry in silence and are very vulnerable yet women's strength is measured by beauty and the amount of money that they can earn. It's unfortunate that her life was ended at a young age without the love that she deserved.
I read somewhere that when another actress bought Merrylins Home and was renovated it, she found extensive wiretaps around the entire house. That woman had a reason to be afraid and anxious all the time. I wonder what she knew. Poor lady.
I'm trying to imagine how it would it be that she stayed alive...How many more classic's she could make...It has been for 56 years since her death and I still can't belive that she is gone...
And that is true - she wasn't just a sex symbol - she was a wonderful troubled talented unique woman whose story DOES eminate with women - she had her internal battles and unfortunately only her exterior self was given importance - her acting was acknowledged but possibly not as much as it should have been prior to her death and the gossip and consipracy theories set in. Watch her movies and see how she truly had great presence and comedic timing and truly shone.
Here's a woman who had beauty, fame, money, noriety, all the makings of a beautiful life and yet, she wasn't happy. We can only imagine what a grand life she had. Its beyond us to understand how u can have everything and not be happy, but, depression destroys lives no matter who u r. Sadly.
I think Joe DiMaggio really loved her but he had really had enough when she was doing the scene with the white dress on standing on a grate and the air was blowing it up so everybody could see her underwear and her bottom. He was right there watching that and there were a lot of sailors and other men nearby cheering at her and making wolf whistles at her. Laurence Olivier makes it sound like she could be very good at intimidating people when he says out only he and the cinematographer would try to get her when she was being late... he says nobody else wanted to do it. So who knows ..maybe sometimes she was not always nice. I loved her too but if she was trying to date married men like the Kennedys than that tells you she was not as nice as people think. It takes two to be cheaters and it sounds as if she was all too willing to participate in that kind of ugliness... think about it.. when someone is willing to break up the marriage and home of people who have small children and babies...? How nice are they really... my parents loved Marilyn Monroe and raised me to look at her as if she was some sort of Angel but you know really she wasn't.
Kevin K Well I would certainly be willing to hear whatever stories you heard about him being cheap. And also terrible. but he couldn't have been a hundred percent cheap because for a long time he sent flowers to her grave and stopped I think recently ...so he sent flowers to her grave since 1961
Susan Ryan Yes it's a shame that she didn't go the route of some of the other actresses like Jane Russell and some of the others from that era who had happy marriages and raised kids... it's a shame she just didn't do a little bit of acting here and there and go for having a possibly wonderful home life to give her life balance and real meaning. I'm not saying it would have been easy but some people manage to have career and home life and sometimes they realize it's good to not be 100% career person and to know that the kids and home life aren't going to be the same forever so it's sometimes wise to spend time with them while you can
People arguing over who looked better; Marilyn or Elizabeth Taylor, even arguing about it. It's impossible to compare those two. Totally different looks, different style, different roles, different way of acting, their movies- a polar opposite. I say they both were beautiful in a totally different way, they both were a good actresses in the roles that they played and may they both Rest In Peace... 🕯 🕯 🙏🙏 ❤ ❤...
How can the narrator say a woman of 36 looked like aging implying old. People that gave her that stress made her this vulnerable. A woman of 36 is young, is not old.
Nabiki Style Exactly. You'd consider yourself lucky looking like that age 36. Truth, however is, that it is far more important being healthy at any age and just feeling good. Looks are so secondary
you biologically start aging after 21, so it's not an insult to say someone is aging at 36. why are people so negative about aging? it's a natural process and hopefully we all age gracefully and live our lives to the fullest instead of dying while still growing up.
Well Marilyn started showbiz way young and the term "aging" was compared from her being 19 and 36.. I guess you all should not consider the word "aging" as negative. The narrator just intended to say it cause that's how showbiz sees aging actresses, esp. during those days. I admit when I turned 30, I felt I was really aging...that word is very subjective
around 7:00 - he said manic phase - she sounded in manic - did anyone else hear that? If so, then the crashing down from mania into deep depression is the part. He said for some reason, but the reason is what goes up must come down. It may have been nothing that brought her down. It's the nature of bipolar, assuming that he was saying that she was bipolar.

Right!!! And if he'd said "She must have suddenly became depressed" one more time I would've screamed. Here you are treating this woman and prescribing her meds when you CLEARLY know nothing of how depression or mental illness works. I was cringing every time he spoke.
Very interesting comments about this. Back then depression was not as understood as it is today. I'm hearing him explaining that he was trying harm reduction techniques with her prescriptions, which didn't matter much if she was buying pills in Mexico. If he had done anything illegal or unethical, I don't think he would be giving an interview.
That isn't the entire interview, which I have seen. In it, Engleberg says she was manic-depressive and that she had her last big mood swing. (Or words to that effect.) And yes, when Marilyn was manic, she was "okay"~~~for her. She would accomplish tasks, be positive, feel good about herself, et cetera. It was the DEPRESSIVE part of her illness that put her in dire straits, always. Her crashes from high to low were extreme and left her dangerously suicidal.
How about when he said , after they found her dead, “I checked her to make sure she was dead” that phrase he chose and the way he said didn’t sit well with me...
Marilyn was murdered and all involved met mysterious deaths karma rip goddess💚💜💙💛the best bombshell to hit hollywood no one can ever touch her beauty they tried and didnt suceed rip sweet marilyn

It's really so very sad, isn't it? I don't care much for Hollywood or celebrities; but something about her story and the wistful sadness in her eyes makes my heart ache. To be surrounded by people, yet utterly alone, is devastating 😔. Poor thing.
My word but the camera loved that woman! There have been so many recent celebrity deaths that were caused by accidental overdose; Tom Petty & Prince both apparently died from unintentional Fentynol overdoses. And the deaths of Heath Ledger and Patton Oswalt’s wife we’re deemed unintentional overdoses. In the case of Oswalt’s wife, she took a combination of medications that was, unbeknownst to her, a deadly combination. I have always believed this is what Marilyn did; overmedicated with drugs that should not have been used together at the same time. Nembutal and Seconal are powerful sedatives, and she had access to both. Of course, her life and death were tragic. However, by dying when she did (at the YOUNG age of 36, regardless of what Hollywood deems as “old!” 😠), she will be remembered always as gorgeous and forever young.
I know I can make a lot of devoted fan's angry, because I have another vue about Marylin's life. No doubt she was fragile and sensitive in many way's, but I do believe that she could make a living hell for those who depended on her and trusted her. She was without doubt the sexkitten in Hollywood, and no doubt that men were hunting her, because men does that, but seen in a bigger picture, there were filmstar's at that time, with the same beauty and charm, and they did not make so much trouble when filmed. Cyd Clarisse was adorable, not to forget Taylor, Turner, Hayworth and Gardner, they all had it, but even they were just as famous, they did not make such problem's out of their part's. The big mistake was the affair with the Kennedy's, because they were in a very different limelight, and Marylin was not carefull about her rage against these powerfull people. Di'maggio really loved her, but it never seemed enough for her, spite her wishes about kid's. She had a sad ending, and nobody seem's to know what really happent, and we will never know, but she died in her best year's. I do think she was kind and also a lonely sad soul, but her short life was not spended wisely, because she had so much to give, but nobody really knew how to recieve it, because nobody knew what she was to give next. Her mind was devided with a heart in kaos. I dont think she understood that playing on the wrong horse, demanded a price she could not pay. I dont think she would have liked her legacy, because she wanted the serius part's, but all over the world she is posted like the greatest sexkitten of all times, the silverblond beauty, almost all men adored, and still does, but behind it all, she just lived without a kompas, among fake adviser's, and benefithunter's, exept from one real man (Di'maggio) who really loved her, but lost the battle. I can't love a long gone filmstar, but I can feel sorry for her sad unlived life, where the biggest wishes never came true. I think she feared being 40 because her fame was 'sexy blond beauty', and we all know it vanish slowly at 40 and up the ladder, so what would her life had bin after 40, when new fresh blood was taking over, think about that........
I have a lot of respect and hold a place in my heart for Joe DiMaggio. He knew Marilyn in a way no one else ever would and in her death respectfully did exactly what she wanted instead of another phony Hollywood production. ❤
Shes depressed and starts talking about the Kennedys on the phone, obviously it was broken off between them or something happened with them, her attorney is brought in the mix. Hours later found dead.
@Lani Anne, it’s true - SHE said she was worried about it cuz she knew it was a problem. The men are movie professionals - they were not being mean -gotta face the truth.
Sad she worked so hard but hardly had a piece of furniture in her home, depression maybe, women enjoy comfortable surroundings and shopping for nice things for the home, she didn't even have signs of this little pleasure.
How sad...rich famous and next to no furniture in the home.Sick of being thought of as the dumb blonde! I NEVER THOUGHT HER DUMB I thought her intelligent, shrewd hard working these pics she looks STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL TO ME BY THE OCEAN.....so lovely like the rose that eventually wilted & died. Every story CHANGES W MRS MURRAY..... So very sad, ever so faithful Joe,keeping away the vultures of Holly weird good for him! 😇 Love you Marilyn hope your finally happy & @ peace forever ☮️🌹🔮🔮🔮
She suffer as a child which left scars that no matter how rich or beautiful you are scars are there, depression is only survived by the most strong and because she was taking the wrong pills she lost the fight. Is so sad she was just alone
I remember the day I heard of MM's death on TV. I had just turned 9. Although I never seen any of her pics, I certainly knew who knew she was, and was quite surprised of her demise. Not knowing if she was a good actress, I definitely considered her a great beauty! My Mom always had movie star mags around the house; and it seemed as though many a celebrity hosted their own show, with had her as a frequent guest. I was not aware of the drugs, or her connection to the Kennedy's. Kids in those days were quite naive, not like today's generation. She will never be forgotten....
What creeped me out was hearing on the other video related to this was her doctor saying he could get her to do anything. Like what 😐 and no matter what nobody is perfect. I enjoyed this commentary about her
It's only now, people are more aware of the life long damage of relinquishment during infancy, not to mention a life of foster homes. The scars are deep, suicide is common and mental and physical illness is too
Ohhh my dear marilyn. I'm really so sad knowing her story and how the industry treated her back then. She was so used and grilled by them. She's a woman who seeking to be loved 😔
Thoughts on Marilyn's final picture -- I respect her physician, Meryman, Dean and Cyd, and the rest I despise, including Cukor, Weinstein and Bernstein. But I respect Marilyn herself above all the others. The male-dominated, misogynist, tyrannical, exploitative and abusive studio system drove her over the edge. Look at the recent Weinstein case, it's been like that since the beginning, and Marilyn was its most famous, tragic victim. It's changing, slowly, but change is inevitable. Women are already much more in command of their acting career, and play roles that would've been thought much too strong and impossible in M's day. If she had been able to work in independent film, it would have saved her, and I'm thinking about one actor that would've complemented her developing dramatic skills perfectly: Bogart. -- J.P.S.
She was depressed. I think, in part, because she couldn’t find someone with whom she was “in love” who would “love” her. Most of the men she dated or married were older - much older, and past their primes. She didn’t have a history with them, and most had been married before and had children with other women. She was a trinket they found, and that includes Joe DiMaggio who seemed suffocating and selfishly “in love” with her. But he didn’t know how to “love” her. I knew my own Marilyn once, and I also didn’t know how to “love” her. And I never did.
Chloral hydrate acts as a depressant on the central nervous system, with sedative effects similar to those of barbiturates. ... With the development of safer and more effective drugs, the use of chloral hydrate has declined. When used, it is administered as gel capsules or rectal suppositories. We may never fully know if MM committed suicide or was murdered. We do know that she was a brilliant actress, and very intelligent. All she ever wanted was to be loved, and the one who loved her was Joe Dimaggio. She was beautiful inside and out. RIP Norma Jean Baker , Marilyn Monroe.
it would have been a whole different movie from Garner and Day made, even though the script wasnt changed, Marilyns stage presense was so much larger than Doris Days, respectfully..
Sexy beauty of Marylin Monroe continues to be remembered by millions , even after her death more than 50 years ago. Amazing. She deserves to be remembered like that.
Tão linda! Mas consigo ver a tristeza no profundo do seu olhar. A tristeza, a falta de amor, de carinho, de consideração, de afeto, de atenção, de valorização, de reconhecimento ... A solidão e o desprezo a levaram a cometer o suicídio. Que Deus a tenha Marilyn Monroe.
Even people in medicine professionally were not all that smart about mixing meds. The chloral hydrate mixed with the phenobarbitol was toxic, even if she had been in good strong health.
Such a beautiful, sweet talented woman. She was given to many pills. Also she was on other drugs. Knowing she was having mental issues I dont understand why the doctors would do that!!! Her doctors knew what was going on with her. They should have known better and someone should have been checking on her constantly. So sad.
