I wonder if he (Gojo) will basically get too insecure to confess to Marin. He never was in love with any before her, and he really never had the confidence to chat with other classmates. So, it makes sense that he has a lot of things going through his mind. We don't usually talk this openly about our struggles as people.
That’s a really great observation!! You’re absolutely right in regards of Gojo never loving anyone in a romantic manner and he is still pretty new in the whole making friends/relationships so I can see him being overwhelmed by the idea of Marin either not loving him or no longer needing him 💔💔 as for him losing the courage of confessing to her and instead keeping it to himself I really hope that isn’t the case because it’s only gonna hurt him even more in the long run, hopefully Marin manages to snap him back to reality sooner than later cause I hate seeing our man Gojo look this depress!! 😭😭
@@Georgymon If anything, Marin has a tendency to snap him out of it even at the start of the story where people thought she was going out with that loser. Hopefully, her interest is still in him both for cosplay and as a boyfriend. She definitely could do it.

I think that Gojo FINALLY realized that he has developed feelings towards Marin, but now that he saw how she might be at the brink of becoming very famous, he feels like he will lose that special thing they had until that moment and therefore they might no longer spend time together like they use to. After all, he still views her as someone on the opposite side of the world that he can't reach.
That’s exactly what I’m thinking is happening as well since it would make the most narrative sense for it to be the reason why he would feel so sad and depressed after seeing Marin talking to the lady about going pro which I can’t blame him since I would also feel really bad if they took Marin away from me!! I literally just can’t wait to see what’s going on with Gojo, cuz although lots of people, including myself, think he’s like that becuz he’s realizing his feeling for Marin, we still haven’t gotten an official explanation to confirm it. I also share the same sentiment as you do in regards in either Gojo or Marin confessing to each other sometime soon since it really feels like we’re building up to a very important face to face conversation between the two that will most likely end up in one of them being fully honest and admitting their feelings to the other!! If I had to guess I can see a confession probably happening within the next 7-8 chapters but it all really depends on how Fukuda decides to take the story and its direction going forward, I just hope we do get a confession between the two or at least have them go back to their happy self’s once again because it breaks my heart seeing them both look so sad!! 😭💔
6:07 -- This reminds me of something from the famous Croatian novel "The Springs Of Ivan Galeb". The protagonist is a musician whose talent was dicovered in his childhood by the fact that the music was emotionally touching him. He, as an adult now, thinks very critically about this and says that the fact that the music was emotionally touching him was not to be taken as a sign that he would become a great musician because _"a soldier should not be prone to being wounded by his own weapon."_
@@MrPyroViper if I had to take a while guess I think the anime will adapt until the end of the “coffin party” arc since I think it would be enough content to cover in 13 episodes or so as well as it would be a great cliffhanger in having Marin be determined to confess to Gojo by the time season 3 and enough content has been made in the manga to be able to adapt in the anime!! :)

3:13 -- A clarification: since everybody called Marin "princess", which in Japanese is _"hime",_ the "scouts" were trying to search for those cosplayers who have the word "hime" _(i.e. "princess")_ in their name, and so they also approached Himeno Amane, since Amane has "hime" in his cosplay name.
Dude you're a life saver , Great video !! So I was scrolling and saw a reel where someone said " nothing lasts forever " with the current manga panels of my dress up darling . I was actually pretty shocked and worried that I ended up reading the whole manga in one sitting but it turns out i was worried for nothing. It was just the normal rom com development due to some misunderstanding . I'm glad nothing " seriously bad " happened between them 😭. As for the current story i think Marin might decline the offer because she does it as a hobby , for fun instead of money and fame , along with this she also does modeling so ion really see her accepting the offer . Moreover she's in love with gojo so I think on actually finding that gojo is scared of losing her , she might say something like " i only want to wear the dresses that gojo-kun make " . As for confession ion think it'll be this soon , firstly gojo will sort his feelings and when they'll finally be ' ready ' , either one of them will confess . Can't wait for the next chapter lmao 😭

Many people say that he didnt actually loved her or something similar feeling about marin, Like a normal person would simple ignored the request or will say i will help as much as i can do Gojo did more than that spending nights without sleeping to make dress for her so she can be happy to cosplay that character and people saying he didnt hold any feeling towards her that's absurd. Yeah I totally agree in the sentiment that Gojo has some feelings for Marin since I think he’s finally learning that he’s in love with Marin and he doesn’t know how to go about it since he probably doesn’t see himself worthy of her love which is not true at all since we all know that Marin loves Gojo very much!! This makes me want to catch up with the manga after about a year back I got really bored and gave up lol. That said, I originally planned to write a comment to your previous episode then I saw you got a new one to see, so here we go. seeing your video and Gojo's predicament kinda reminds me of a situation known to introverts like me, where you go out with friend/acquaintance who is all popular, attracts tons of people and just one of those guys who is always in in the center social events. In this situation, an introvert can find himself lost and alone between all these people, completely tap out emotionally, and feels miles away from this friend whom he usually get along with. Happened to me going out with guys or girls I have known. It's an awful feeling, here It's supposedly even worse for Gojo because of their close connection. I remember before quitting the Manga, I thought to myself, when will this happen? because story wise and writing, it makes sense. This show started on the premise of an insecure Introvert connecting with the popular, energetic and beautiful girl over their love of mutual interests. This chapter of their relationship just had to happen, and I hope it will be written well and not just resolved in an instant by Marin saying some lovely sentence and it's done. It's a chance to built these characters through, to be honest, pretty real hardships that can develop when two people with such different personalities and life styles get close. It's a chance to see actual struggle over a period of of time, I hope it goes this way and is written well. And of course, the mandatory JJK joke: The final chapter will end with Gojo holding Marin's hands, both of them blushing, Gojo staring intensely at her eyes, a moment will pass... and another... silence. Then Gojo will open his mouth, and finally say these words these three magical words every girl wants to hear... *"Nah, I'd win"* (or *"you are my specialz"* lol pick whichever you like 😄 )

Shiba is definitely trying acting cool like "mpf, I don't care" but when no one notice he turn his head to take another look XD Since he decided to write a comment on the cosplay, even if it's a simple "well done", we know that he appreciated a lot Gojo and Marin's work otherwise he wouldn't have said anything at all. I really hope that Shiba's comment helps Gojo realising the fact that he's a great cosplay maker and he deserve to stay next to MArin, this time he created such a beautiful piece of art that also the author complimented him. Yeah Shiba is a total little tsundere the way he was trying to be all stoic and not caring when we all know that inside he is probably fan boying hard af watching Marin and Gojo’s beautiful cosplay of Haniel!! It’s all fiction at the end of the day and everyone is free to like whatever they want so judging people for liking something that makes them happy I find it to be very immature and overall mean spirited. What do you think of the anime? Its plot was more heavily focused on the burgeoning romance between Marin & Gojo (the cosplay also, naturally.) In the manga chapters following the anime’s 1st season, I’ve noticed less overt romance but heavy cosplay. How do you think this will translate into a 2nd season of the anime? Btw-Gojo’s disparagement after the Haniel cosplay crushed me!!! 😢
I absolutely love the anime, the anime was actually how I got into the manga since once season 1 ended I read the manga and caught up with it immediately!! Haha and I think the flow of the story has been pretty well done thus far and I like the fact that the cosplaying aspect has been really prevalent as of late since I always love seeing Gojo and Marin dressing up and being all cute together 💕 haha and I think that season 2 will be pretty great however will focus much more of Gojo’s growth as a character during the school festival arc but also have the same charm and comedic moments/tone that the first season had!! 😁😁

I can see it going a 5 Centimeters Per Second route, they just don't make it and don't get together. I can see Gojo becoming a success however after Marin becomes yet another flavour-of-the-month professional cosplayer, the cosplays he creates are legit after all, so despite losing his youthful crush in Marin he'll gain acceptance through his skills as an artist. I respectfully completely disagree in that being the route the story will take, at the end of the day this is still a slice of life romcom series and about 99% of all them end with the two protagonist getting together by the end. To me it’s more a question at this point whether the series will end or continue once Marin and Gojo do end up together which if I had to guess it’ll continue even once they do get together since the series it’s extremely popular and I don’t see it ending anytime soon as long as Fukuda is still passionate about the story she’s telling!! :)
Who was the girl who shot Gojo down when he was a child? The one who said that he shouldn't like those Japanese models his grandfather made because they're for girls? Maybe Gojo goes to college and (shock of all shocks) hooks up with her, she apologizes, says she was wrong about what she said to him as a child, that SHE in fact loved Gojo and wanted him to be her boyfriend but thought that the Japanese models that he loved so much were taking too much of his attention/ wasn't the "right" attention. Gojo doesn't need to get with Marin, there can be all sorts of wild flips in the story. Marin becomes a pro and realizes that none of it's fun, then she gets thrown through the entertainment industry mill, after a few years sees Gojo on the street with his family and a smile on his face. Cue the 5 Centimeters Per Second ending theme.
@@Akaoni21 Gojo randomly reuniting and *hooking up* with that random girl from his childhood would literally make no sense!! “So we haven’t seen each other for over a decade plus however let’s totally hook up and date now” like come on doesn’t that sound completely silly and corny haha and completely disagree in the statement regarding Gojo not needing Marin, Grandpa Wakana literally stated it Gojo needs Marin and how Gojo reminds him of his younger self and how Marin reminds him of his own wife since she was always there supporting him!! Also Marin becoming a pro without Gojo is totally ridiculous as well since we do know from the beginning of the story that Marin only cosplays for fun and modeling is just a way to make a quick buck, she’s never cared for the fame so idk why now all of the sudden she would care lol Marin even has a private Cosplay account so that goes to show just how little she cares about the fame, even when her picture blew up as Haniel she still was just like whatever about it haha but yeah like I’ve said I’ve read plenty of slice of life romcoms in my time so I’m pretty confident in saying that when the story is all set and done I’m 99% sure Marin and Gojo will be either a couple or married in a time skip flash forward!! Why would it make "absolutely no sense" to go to college and study fashion/art/whatever and meet a childhood friend there by chance, crazier things have happened in this World let alone in Anime/Manga. After the initial shock of their re-meeting they get to know each other in college, maybe they're in the same club or happened to go to the same mixer, they get talking and then she being more mature now apologizes for what happened in the past. I don't think that this scenario is too silly or corny, even if it is the silly and the corny happen in real life, have a conversation with your parents or whomever about how they met and they'll probably give you a silly or corny answer. A large segment of college is all about hooking up and having fun, why wouldn't this "random girl" go out on a date with him? He's attractive, skilled and talented... not to mention kind, etc. Despite what people think of Gojo and admittedly he is a bit shy and introverted but he's actually one heck of a catch. People are blinded by Marin's superficial beauty that's quite frankly a dime a dozen, she's not by any stretch "dating down", they aren't even dating. lol We don't know anything about Grandpa Wakana's past, so what if Marin reminded him of his dead wife? Maybe there was a romantic fork in the road for him too. Marin isn't oxygen or water, Gojo doesn't NEED her, he's still a growing boy who isn't even in college yet. Haha Why's it "totally ridiculous" for Marin to accept an offer to go pro? There are many people who take the plunge when given an offer, you could be walking through town and then get scouted to work in a host club, random things happen in life and hindsight is a wonderful thing. I could see Marin sugared up, filled with ambition into accepting such an opportunity, being a professional would also drive a wedge between her an Gojo who's an amateur, it could be very dramatic especially if Gojo continues in the cosplay business as an incredibly in demand maker of cosplay outfits. I'm sure you've read a lot of formulaic slice-of-life romcoms in your time, Gojo and Marin may very well become a couple in the end but there are so many opportunities for drama to unfold.
@@Akaoni21 Let me explain myself in when I say it makes no sense, for starters I don’t see a scenario in which Fukuda reintroduces the childhood girl that gave Gojo his trauma in a college setting since that would assume we even go to a college setting in the story which if we do what are we talking about 50 chapters from now?! 100 chapters from now?! Like the manga is already telling so much story as it is and they are barely freshman or sophomore Highschool students, to put it in perspective the story has only taken place in the context of maybe 6 months or so and I don’t see Fukuda doing a Shippuden type of time skip out of nowhere just to get them in college lol Another thing to note is that Japan loves their slice of life stories to take place majority of the time in High School like “Love is war, My Love Story, My Love Story With Yamada, Tomo-chan is a girl, Nagatoro, Komi, etc” so them doing a time skip is very unlikely specially since that would mean that Fukuda would have to even write more than she probably is planning to since tbh I see MDUD ending within 5 years tops because by then she would had worked on the manga for over a decade and I think she would want to wrap it up before then to relax too haha Also Fukuda has literally spent the 100+ chapters thus far setting up Gojo and Marin eventually getting together, now to take that all away by reintroducing a throw away character that only shows up for literally a single page as well as making her the final love interest for Gojo in the end would be hysterically awful!! I simply don’t see Fukuda doing Marin that dirty specially since Marin is the reason the series ever took off to begin with, the story began with both Gojo and Marin and it will end with the two of them, tbh Shinju has a better chance of getting with Gojo than that childhood friend lol and I think you missed what I meant when I say that Gojo needs Marin, he needs her to be his moral support as well as the person is there for him whenever he is being too hard on himself. Not necessarily saying she’s the only person in his life that can do that but atm she honestly is the only person that can help Gojo whenever he is being harsh on himself since she is his best friend too!! Haha and lastly I see the cosplay offer being more like a plot element that eventually leads to the two of them having a long talk and even confess to each other, who will ultimately confess first I honestly don’t know but I totally see it playing it out as well as most people too. I think she will eventually turn down the job offer since to Marin she’s never been after the fame or money that comes from becoming a professional cosplayer. The only thing that she’s ever wanted from cosplaying has been to simply have fun with Gojo as well as dress as some of her favorite characters of all time so I think in the end she’ll choose Gojo and the two of them will be happy ❤️❤️
I wouldn’t say that nothing has happened since chapter 40 because a lot of stuff has happened since then for starters we got introduced to Amane, Akira, and Miyako which have become ongoing characters in the series as well as we got the Rei arc which helped build up Gojo’s character tremendously and the coffin party served to add some spice in the story with Marin and Gojo spending the night together which was a lot of fun plus the Haniel arc has been great so far imo so I don’t think it’s fair to say that nothing has happened since chapter 40. Patience is key my friend, we will get a confession sometime soon in the future we just gotta wait for it!! ❤️❤️

I don't think his current state has anything to do with his romantic emotions toward Marin. I personally believe that he is unhappy with how the cosplay turned out and probably misinterpreted Marin in some degree to the point that his perfectionist nature is eating him alive. He feels shame and guilt from his facial expression and body language in that last panel. He sees the forest for the trees and won't appreciate the amazing job he and Marin pulled off... thats why his work would always be on another level. Tortured artist... poor guy.

@Georgymon Thanks, thats what spoke to me. For now we can agree to disagree. Well, we'll most likely see on March 15th. I don't think any amount of praise from anyone else is enough to get Gojo's spirit up or give him any satisfaction with his work. He's always super critical with himself and what he produces. I think that's why it's a huge juxtaposition with how he's feeling as opposed to Tokio's silent and simple approval of his and Marin's work. Only a month again or so and probably we'd be clued in.

Yeah she’s said in the past that she loves the character Haniel but it’s the same type of love she has towards Haniel like she does with Black Lobelia, Shizuku, and all of her cosplays in general so it’s nothing too serious besides that!! Ha :)

Yes the anime got confirmed in having a second season on the works currently but we still don’t have a release date however it’ll most likely will come out sometime in 2025!! :)

Well they’re technically not a couple just yet so they can’t break up haha they’re just going through an awkward moment between the two since they aren’t taking with each plus being pretty distant as well but hopefully everything gets resolved sooner than later cause I hate seeing them both look so sad 💔💔

@@aaravgagneja7676 well to summarize Marin and Gojo’s current situation I would say that the reason the two of them are distant/awkward with each other atm is because Gojo seemed upset with Marin since he didn’t talk to her at all at the end of the Comek convention and looked pretty mad so Marin thinks Gojo is mad at her while in reality he is simply upset with himself for even considering being in love with Marin because in his mind she is too good for him and a regular guy like himself doesn’t stand a chance in with a goddess like herself when in reality when know that she loves him very dearly. In other words the whole situation right is a huge misunderstanding between them haha
Basically Gojo is on some weak shit and think’s he’s less than Marin. If he keeps this up she may begin to treat him how he sees himself. He has to learn like every boy does. He has to value himself and stop searching for others to validate him. That’s a part of becoming a man. Marin is in love with him, so she’ll put up with the bish in him for a while. But if he doesn’t get his act together, she’ll have no choice but to view him as only a friend. Poor guy could have had wild passionate sex if he had any experience, and she would have been with it 100%. That’s what happens when you don’t understand yourself or women.
Tbh Gojo has always been portrayed as a very timid and somewhat socially inept even from the very moment the story started since for the most part he was a loner that didn’t really have any friends until meeting Marin so I can’t blame the guy for feeling insecure and depressed over the fact that in his eyes somebody like him doesn’t stand a chance with somebody like Marin even tho we all know that Marin totally loves Gojo haha and I can definitely see this whole inner struggle that Gojo is dealing with being resolved in the next following chapters once the Haniel arc is fully wrapped which if everything goes well it could lead up to a inevitable confession between either Gojo or Marin sooner than later, now we just gotta wait until then!! Lastly yes if Gojo had any sort of understanding when it comes to dating or romance he totally could have smashed by now!! Lmfaoooo 🤣🤣
@@Georgymon you've got a great point, & maybe the author will have mercy on his plight (coming of age). In a general sense Women tend to not give the same grace as guys do in these situations. And that sexual attraction can turn to frustration and ultimately friend zoning. Of course there's exceptions to every rule, and Marin is basically written to be a unicorn of sorts. Personally I'd rather see him get friend zoned and figure it out the hard way. Manga authors are good at pissing fans off. Plus I enjoy twists. The Bisque Doll community might flip though.
