Hello Tony. I was on the fence with this bike and after I watched this video several times I finally bought, what I believe, one of the last remaining Large in this color from my LBS. You do an excellent job with filming and I find your videos enjoyable. Just wanted to find out if you experienced many punctures with the Riddlers.(I've read about how susceptible they are to this). I do, however, notice that yours have become slicks so you must be happy with them.
Hey thanks !! I’ve had only one puncture in the first 2,400 km. Which makes me happy. I hate fixing flats …. And I actually run higher pressure. So the riddlers have been amazing. Now 18 months into this fun bike !
Awesome! Thanks for that reassuring info. I’ve ridden this bike now a few times and know now why you speak so highly of it. Looking forward to your future videos. Stay safe!!
Looks like a dream place to ride. Great job! Bought the DSX base model last year to have something to ride when visiting my fam on the east coast (US). Only made one upgrade- ergon bar end grips. The DSX is proof that you don't need to spend gobsums of money for a good bike.
Hey thanks and glad you’re enjoying the bike ! The DSX lines truly one of the most fun and affordable gravel lines out there. The ergo bar sounds good. What brand/model did you get ?
I have the same bike, but I put longer 90mm stem on it ,with the 70 mm stem it was quite short for my 186cm in size L,I couldn´t get the XL,also thinking put different crankset with smaller chainring, for the steep bits and when the tires wear out I put thinner too-about 40c.But it is really fun bike.
oh nice, I can imagine that extra stem helps quite a bit at your height. The current crankset with 11-51 seems enough for most hills but the bike is so light that I sometimes feel like I'm going to tio over backwards on really steep ramps. But absolutely a fun bike and super responsive.
Hi ! Congratulations. You will definitely enjoy it. I had a little problem with the front axle bolt when I first bought it. But that seems ok now. I’ve had three broken spokes. All minor things. Only thing I might change are the tires. For me, I’m riding less gravel than I thought I would. So the 45mm tires are overkill for what I do. Otherwise it’s absolutely fantastic
You know…. Now that you say it …. I didn’t even really notice! I did, in another video, call out the puke green color. All that said, it’s my second favorite bike ever
