Welcome to our new VLOG on here! Vlog 51!
We can’t believe we are nearly 1 year into vlogging!
Today we take you on one of our daily jaunts to a lovely place we stumbled across last week. It’s the Heskin Hall Shopping Village in Chorley. What a lovely place it is, filled with food, gifts, butchers, and much more. There are even two lovely little cafes there with outside eating. One is a cafe and one is a tea room.
We’ve made the best decision for us coming to the marina and we couldn’t be happier.
Thank you for watching us on our canal journey and stopping by and we hope you enjoy our Northern humour on our narrowboat.

There should be some short protective sleeves on the straps that you can slide to the area you want to prevent the chafing.

No shops in Rufford now but you have a Tesco superstore in Burscough village and real farm shops on the way there. Best wishes

Hey there , we have a few shops here , we were here last year too. Rosebuds the bakery is good and the little shop and chemist . Owd barn is here too and we are on the doorstep of tarelton which is nice. It’s nice not to have a Macdonalds on the doorstep haha. It’s a lovely place isn’t it.

Hi guys good to see you out and about and enjoying the benefits of a marina especially at this time of year. I spent New Year out and about in Blackpool which was great but got the flu after and have been suffering ever since it has left a horrible dry cough. Going to the boat for the first time this year. Being in the Marina the heating has been on low just to stop any condensation building up. Thanks for the videos, keep em coming. Love Alan x

Nice trip out for you to Heskin Hall Shopping Village. Been there a few times, mostly cafe. Where you on top of Parbold hill at the near end of the vlog. Good to see Captain Bruce about. Plenty of other little cafes in Eccleston, next to Heskin. Have a good week x

Caffe manna in the shopping centre. T on the green on the main road in - the green Also one in Wheelton near the clock. That is a good one but closed mon and Tue. Xx

It’s one of the cheapest marinas out there by far. Needs some tlc though and some money spending on it. They are replacing all the green strip luckily as it’s soooo slippy. We like it here as no one comes down the Rufford branch unless you are coming to the marinas or are going onto the Lancaster canal so it’s quiet. Where are you heading this year?

Hope you are keeping warm over in Lancashire? I am having to suffer 20°c in the shade here in Andalucia on a quick 10 day jaunt. Still five days to go. Got a sun tan developing. We can see the Riff mountains across the Mediterranean Sea in Morocco, North Africa really clearly. I have been coming here twice or three times a year for more than 30 years and never seen them as clear as they are now. Enjoyed some gorgeous meals in and out. May go to Gibraltar tomorrow to get some duty free stuff. I hate shopping, I'd rather dig a garden with a dinner fork. Hope you soon get out and about on the cut and start bothering the pro boaters.
