Please take this as constructive criticism, but that was hands down some of the poorest naval play I've seen. 1) Sending that kongo straight into the jaws of ASM doom was just about excusable as an unfortunate oversight, but also really, really predictable. 2) Repeatedly spending agonisingly slow minutes endlessly moving the whole massive La Fayette armada from one useless end of the flank to the other useless end completely alleviated the enormous potential pressure your fleet could have been putting Oscar under, letting them use the zone as a quick line of reinforcement when it should have been a gauntlet of death for anything foolish enough to try and get through. That made life difficult for your allies in November, because they had to face a constant stream of fresh enemy reinforcements coming right out from under their noses (Oscar) instead of either a 3/4 dead reinforcement thread or having the enemy forced to hack across the entire map. 3) Papa was completely ignored, you could have deployed a LAV or other amphibious CV and brought in more points. Furthermore, it would have been a much better place to place ships on standby. 4) Right at the beginning, when your ally capped Oscar, you should have brought in ships from the enemy's side, instead of continuing to reinforce from your own side (and forcing you to travel the entire ocean flank). Obviously though, you'd called most things out by then- better communication could have really caused a thorn in enemy's side! 5) Terrible use of planes, your ASM planes were ineffective and didn't do their job of keeping helos off your ass. 6) Speaking of helos, your whole fleet was taken out by them, when they shouldn't have been able to get anywhere near you. Letting your entire fleet get wasted and subsequently surrendering the flank to the tarantuls. That last part was particularly hard to watch. It was so obvious to see it coming. 7) The early Sovreminniy could have been taken out just as easily like 15 minutes earlier than it was, instead you wasted time shuffling ships around. 8) No direct support for your allies in November. even a single La Fayette can turn the tide of a land battle, 6 of them are guaranteed to cause widespread death and destruction that would have allowed your allies to do what they wanted in November. 9) You kept trying to move your La Fayettes into coastal water where they can't go.

Very frustrating, indeed. I thought it was some game variant where he had to avoid capping at all costs, as well as avoiding resupplying, while having his lone supply ship teasing all those starved Lafayettes.

Ah yes but uhm... he was still top of kills and all that so... maybe he was a bit better than you think. I do think the kongo was a mistake and the hatsiyuki. And all of those cv's trying to cap in an area full of enemies. But its not like bis allies where all that great either. In fact they were talking verry unsupportive to the other players and drained other peoples fob and didnt let anyone else use theirs. All by all mistakes were made but hey its just a game man

I wish they would make a red dragon remake just with the game elements of steel division 2 (the gameplay is so much better then the sector cap stuff). Steel divison 2 is great but i kinda miss helicopters and modern tanks etc.

Your naval efforts would probably have been more effective if you had stuck to supporting your team mates' land operations in and near November.

I remember this map as I arty the coast and brought a dozen fully loaded pumas that made an aerial bridge just to keep the lafayette and a full infantry invasion filled with ammo and an ally made another bridge of man kati too to keep me filled and running... What a game that was... Many died for this plot of land, actually at the end there was 2 commando marine and 3 legion squads with absolutely no reinforcement left in the infantry tab

I happen to be on right now; but what was your reasoning really behind all the La Fayettes, if you were keeping them so far back? You could have had them bombard the coast, especially since their guns have decent range, longer than most ATGMs. I understand though that they were very spammy... 10v10 is only worth it if it's a tac/super tac. Invasion tip: Use Monitor 105s to deploy smoke. Really helpful, I do it in campaign too.

Supercobras no longer have sidewinder aa missiles, they have sidearm sead missiles. They only target sead aa weapons.

I was all ready to bitch and moan that Eugen, in their great wisom, didn't change the missile icon, but the AGM-122 was a somewhat simple conversion of existing AIM-9 missiles so it is actually acccurate. You win this time, Eugen!^^ I don't often play US decks (i don't play that often anyway), when did they change it? I certainly missed the patch log about that and would have suicided my SuperCobras like a fool against red AA helos.

I don't think restricting the use of your FOB is selfish, certainly not in 10v10s. There's enough arty spammers out there perfectly happy to drain every FOB out there in order to keep their "entertaining" point-and-click expensive arty spam going on for as long as possible, while players who're actually trying to play the game have to deal with the shenanigans of having troops in the front that can't be properly resupplied because their own FOB has been dried up by those lowlifes. I already did it sometimes in AB, but in RD with the (imo, wrongly done by Eugen) increased arty effectiveness, one fo the first things I learned was DEMANDED to be done in every 10v10 I took part on was, at the beginning of the game, to set my FOB to "off", only turning it on when I needed it to resupply my own units. Because if I don't I'm going to find myself out of FOB supplies halfway through the game even while I might have not even used 10% of it for my own needs. So to avoid having to deal with supply thefts, my FOB supplies are off the second the game starts. If someone else needs my supplies at some point he only has to ask me in chat to please share them . I'll do a quick scan to see what he wants those supplies for (meaning: needing them to play the game, not to keep the lame artyspamfest going on for a couple arty volleys more, of course) and if he wants them for anything but artyspam, I'll switch the FOB on for him to resupply as much as he wants, to then shut it off again to prevent someone else indulging in their own desires to commit artyspammer theft. If whoever's asking just wants to keep his fleet of rocket arty BS lobbers going on for another volley, my FOB is going to stay shut. Endstory. My number one rule is clear: if you're going to bring in a deck full of expensive-supply-starving arty to play the god of indirect fire, you better bring your own damned FOBs to sustain the spam. Because I for sure I'm not going to run out of supplies because someone else wants to spam arty. First because I loathe arty spams, and second because I'm not going to run out of supply when I need it to properly play frontline units the way the game is supposed to be played just because someone else has used it up for said arty spam. Your take on it is that it is "impolite" to switch off FOBs. In my experience is all the opposite, what's impolite is to run dry other player's FOBs without them even noticing someone is pretty much outright stealing them for spamming long range BS across the map. Well, that's not going to happen with my supplies, that's for damn sure. This video is a good instance of why my policy is what it is, BTW. you were trying to push with your troops in the middle of the map; then you needed to resupply your supply choppers to keep things going, and suddenly you found out that your FOB had been drained dry. Who do you think drained it?. Guess it: the artyhog spamfest lovers. Next time you find someone with a FOB turned off ask them in chat politely to switch them on for you for a minute. As soon as they realize you need those supplies for some legit reasons and not to keep your fleet of ATACAMS and Paladins operational for a couple more shots, 99% of players will gladly let you take their supplies to keep your forces operational.

I agree. I mean, I generally just turn off ammunition immediately so people can still resupply their vehicles and get repaired though I keep half an eye on it just to make sure the asshat artillery player hasn't parked a supply vehicle next to it. Yes, it is somewhat impolite to turn off your FoB, but it's far less impolite or selfish than the assholes who think that they have the right to WASTE your entire FoB on their nonsense and then immediately quit when you run out of supply. I mean if all you're going to do is spam arty, why NOT bring an entire logistics section full of FoBs yourself. I'd rather keep my FoB on because most people will use it responsibly but sometimes you just can't.

I'll admit I've had to resupply my arty, but I usually use my own FOB(s) first, for obvious reasons. However, I do think there should be a way to keep your FOBs from supplying teamates in general. I'm not against it, but I play Tac/SuperTac all the time, and when I am in the middle of a major logistical operation (I use Hemmtts, and resupply them with Chinooks, for example) and I find out all too late that my FOB is down because of some Arty spamming idiot, I rage, and that's an understatement... but, sometimes, a player legitimately needs to use someone's FOB, maybe because their's was taken, or they ran out because of some Arty spamming idiot, etc. You can always just ask a player...

+Ghost 993514 I have no problem with legitimate artillery players using my FoB if they're being useful, sniping and providing smoke and such. It's a problem with the people who just bring out a ton of supply expensive artillery, throw shots all over the map and then quit whne they run out of supply (or rather, when everyone else runs out of supply).

That's why I like to have people ask me. I normally mark my FOBs with a flare and tell them to ask me if they want to use it, actually.

Good Argument and structure but there is a chance the opponent can arty you too because you reveal you position and if the FOB gets hit and destroyed no more resupply render arty useless and cost you to resupply with supply trucks, like an player idiot who shot themselves in the foot and asking why it hurt and quit 😡

Why did they start making redfor/bluefor "equivalents"? The unique units in each nation are what made certain ones worthwhile.

There is a ranking system for those who play the ranked mode. 2dLt is Second Lieutenant. Pvt or Private is the lowest rank, usually held by those that don't play ranked.

No, they don't. Sylvain didn't ask whether SEAD missile target ships (which they do) but whether they target the RADAR seeker of anti-ship missiles (which they don't).

if you like the look, yes it is. Check out the steam and look up red dragon and also steel division 2 which came out after this game but made by same devs. they take a bit of learning but if you like RTS and military stuff, this has a lot for you. also WARNO, new game, spiritual successor to red dragon comes out Jan. 20

Vulkan, as far as I can see, you are a pro on this game. I'd like to ask you a noobie question. Why do the Anti Radar planes sometimes just can see the AA vehicles? I mean playing with a Mig25 Anti Radar I wasnt able to shot Patriots and Rolands, as they were in range and they were shooting me already. Is there any trick to make your AA vehicles invisible? for example turning their weapons off or something? Thanks in advance.

If the weapons of the radar AA vehicle are turned off then they cannot be targeted by SEAD. Once the plane has flown over, you can turn the AA back on to fire the weapon.

honestly its also fun to sometimes watch gameplay commentary like "ok right now I can thoughtfully move this unit right here OH SHIT TANK ARGH ASDFASDFASDF[unintelligeble]", especially if one is used to your usual calm, relaxed voice. might seem weird to you, but youtube's classic mantra "its fun to watch you struggle" still holds true

Big fan here, but here is some constructive criticism. Also, sorry in advance if I offend you or anything like that. Your naval play was really, really bad, especially in the initial parts of the match. Besides ships, every naval play needs coordination among the players who are playing with the navy and players with very good asf's and aswp's. You should have contacted your teammates for aircraft to counter the opponents'. Besides that, you should have had marines land in November with the support of heli's and ships in the initial stages. Those tanks were getting destroyed and their infantry's right flank was exposed. They were literally ready to die. Finally, if you are going to use ships as support assets rather than invasive assets to fight against land assets, use smaller ships.

I'm not very familiar with Naval combat in the game so sorry if it wasn't up to par. I tend to avoid it as much as possible but it's nice to have a change.

The game was stacked and the reds were noobs. They did not have enough equipment to counter the simplest of ships. Good play. You were near the top points for most of game. Some advice to lower losses. Don't waste time cancelling units when you see Oscar capped. 1-2 La Fayett or Hatsuy would probably held Oscar. Would of wasted a unit or 2 from not canceling but its not as big of a deal as losing that window. Don't send Kongo in alone. I saw that you may have been trying to get kongo in there fast but its too easy to overwhelm a single unit. Spawn 1-2 chams first before spawning kongo will give it awesome protection. Or even a sneaky La Fayett first. Should make room for Strb90. Its an excellent scout. 1 navy card gets you like 6 and they see far into land. Moves fast, kills tanks and everything for 70 points. 1-2 are a lot better than 10 55 point cobra and 25 point lav scouts. They are also excellent against asm trucks trying to sneak up on you. Keep them near La Fayetts and noobs will sometimes send 150 point asm planes against it. Quite often they will send You haven't quite figured out when and where the enemy can see your ships. I recommend using Chams more until you get more of a sense of what the enemy sees. The inf in LVTP were a waste. They are made to cross rivers, not oceans. Use heli inf or the get 1 navy landing unit with about 8 total landing craft. 8 units will not over run a point but it can create chaos if inf is placed in the right place at the right time. Also landing craft is reuseable. You can load them up with 8 units from your inf deck and land again and again. Always be ready to move your La Fayetts towards the enemy units and hide behind island when your not. Example at 21:40 you were trying to rearm, thinking the distance would help you. It didn't and you were ambushed by enemy asm trucks. You ships should have right away moved towards the trucks to hit them with the 4000m range cannons. It still worked out that time because of an allies heli. There's also ways to get a better logistic line to your ships. Using 1 LCU is ok for rearming but can't repair. There are other ways to quickly rearm/repair and having them all in fighting condition. Let you figure it out. sum it up, invest in better recon to lower loses. You'll also save those points for better supply line
