WOW How beautiful to see a mother crying with joy at seeing her son return home at Christmas, the father trying to contain the tears of joy and his brother so moved to see him, Touching.
I was so excited for the surprise until I saw his brother crying. Seeing that display of raw emotion of pure love towards his brother opened the floodgates. I was a mess.
Each time I watch these videos I become so aware of the unspoken fear that the families of the soldiers keep within them and the immense relief at seeing them
talk about making me cry. I am from a military family and if someone in my family did that I would be so happy and then so mad at them. lol. God bless to ALL of our current and retired military men and women.
This makes me realize just how much grief and pain families just like this family must endure when they get the surprise knock on the door to tell them their son/daughter in the military is never coming home.
Both sons are soooo handsome and their smiles are killer. What a wonderful family. It was heartwarming to see how much the brothers cared about each other. Mom and Dad - You did a great job. Hope your Marine is safe and that 2017 brings you all the happiness you had in 2013. God Bless.

Hey Mom and Dad - You have two very handsome sons. I hope your Marine is safe and knows that many Americans thank him for his service. God Bless Both Of Them and The Both Of You. It's inspiring to see how close your two sons are.
It is very pleasing to see moms, sisters, dads children well coming their loved ones. Ever thought or questioned your dear onee about the so many innocent people they killed before coming home. The ones they killed will never get home coming surprises. Wish humaunity could become humanity.
Love your family. They are precious. I lost my only remaining family member, my brother. He passed away at age 58 due to alcoholism. I miss him so much.
My sister and I are one year apart less a day. November 18th, 1955 and December 17th, 1956.. We are children of two Marines who met in the 1950s. They both served in the Korean War. Semper FI.
The wife is such a beautiful soul- she knew her husband could not articulate his love for his son, so she spoke for him and said "we"- a man's heart is full of secret pains that they can't express- you can see how deeply his father is moved but could not say the words (especially with a camera on him). My only very small complaint- the sons should have shown a little more respect and waited for him to embrace his Dad before his brother.
Respectfully Disagree, there was no disrespect there. Did you see the hug between those brothers??? Then look at the hug dad gave! Not even close. Dad looks old school in the sense he probably didn’t hug very much or say I love you. They got all that from Mamma Bear and each other(meaning the siblings).
Thank goodness ABC allows comments because NBC doesn’t on our brave soldiers and their families. That is sad. Thank you ABC for these families and the surprised families ❤❤❤
SEMPER FI Brother. I wanted to surprise my family when I came home from Vietnam in 1969 too. When I got home, no one was there at all. The surprise was on me.
Omg 25 boxes of tissues my brothers and my dad where Marines crap SEMPER FI I watched my brother Tommy do this to my family He always said that I will be home for Christmas he did surprise us ! HE'S 15 yrs older than me other brother went in when he left Nam ... Welcome home
I wish the camera had shown the mother's face when she first saw her "baby". This was beautiful, but based on the prelude to their unexpected "gift", l expected more.
The reporter kind of ruined it by saying we have a surprise for you. They should have let him walk in without saying anything. But thank you for your service young man.
