Same, you gotta protect yourself before you join up. Two broken ankles, two slipped disc's, chronic knee issues.......rejected for asthma even though I ran marathons by the time I tried to join. Made me laugh but I get it. Can't take any chances, never know when that shut gonna flare up.
I remember seeing when the 4'7 Marine was a recruit in San Diego, Saw him just before I left for Camp Johnson and he was in the entry Platoon. cool to see he went there too, wonder if he also became a mech, a driver or supply

That is an amphibious landing drill on Onslow Beach Camp Lejeune NC. Army has Amphibious Labding training as well. Sappers / Pontineers still train to do it.
I feel like i was MADE for Marine Corps! Unfortunately, even though i outgrew asthma in early highschool, it disqualified me from any military service. That was crushing 😢
