Ichiro is probably in my top 5 all time favorite players. But there's something in baseball called a "5-Tool" player (im assuming you havent heard of it before, hence your comment). There are more complete players than Ichiro. Yes, Ichiro is probably the best 4-tool player... maybe ever, but i wouldnt call him the most "complete".

billy fraiser But why? He can definitely hit for contact, he can hit for power if he wanted to (there’s even a video explaining that he could be a tremendous power hitter if only he chose to). He can run really fast, he’s an amazing fielder with speed, great anticipation and a cannon for an arm. He can also pitch as he used to be the ace pitcher of his high school team in Japan and he also pitched as a marlins which is pretty impressive if you ask me. He is also considered a slap hitter. So yeah i think he is really complete.

I think ichiro is not just a genius player. He is a philosopher (or craftman) of baseball, and he pursuit baseball more and more. The pursuit made him what he is.

If you’ve never seen Ichiro at BP before the game, you have to get there early to see his fielding. He knows where the ball will go, mitt behind his back he leans forward and makes the catch 300+ feet away. Doesn’t sound like much but it is incredible to see.

The best player I have seen. He has it all. It will be a sad day for baseball when he retires, but for now I am happy I get to see him for another season and maybe more. Legend. My favourite player together with Randy Johnson.

I'd argue he's the greatest contact hitter in Baseball history. His plate coverage was absolutely absurd.... he could take a clear ball and turn it into a line drive base hit to the gap.

I guess he will retire with the team he started his mlb career with. miss the days with announcers like neihaus and rick along with players like boone, martinez, guillen, moyer, cameron, garcia, mclemore, sasaki, wilson, olerud, etc!
