10 straight seasons of 200+ hits, a gold glove and a sliver slugger. It will never happen again. He was the greatest all around baseball player of all time. Only person i would throw in there is Ken Griffey Jr.

One of THE MOST most humble, surprising, hard working and dedicated baseball players to ever play. As a braves fan, watching this man as a kid was amazing. Easily one of my top 3 players of all time.

The greatest Japanese MLB player ever
@user-zl7os7wr7c
Fact: When Ichiro was playing in Japan, the Japanese league played 30 fewer games per year than MLB. In fact, Ichiro has only hit over 200 once in his nine years in Japan, but he has hit over 200 in MLB ten times, including an insane record of 262.

Growing up as a Mariners fan living in Seattle, my baseball friends and I idolized Ichiro as a beacon of what baseball is about. We would imitate his stance at the plate, popping his sleeve and extending the bat outwards, we tried mimicking his swing... we did it all! I'm so thankful to grow up in a time where he ruled my beloved city with a humble and hard-working glove! I am so thankful for the memories he produced for me and I'm so thankful for what he did for the game of baseball in Seattle! Ich, thank you for everything!

Ichiro’s 262 hits in one season won’t ever be touched especially with how baseball is played today

You’re going to do a video on Ichiro, and not include any of his throws? Not even the Terrence Long throw from right field?

Ichiro had 4 of the 5 baseball tools. He absolutely had speed, arm strength, fielding, and batted for average, he just lacked power. However, Ichiro stated he could hit home runs if he wanted to but felt that was not how he could be most valuable to the team.

10 straight 200+ hits in a season to start his career. That's just ridiculous and will never be replicated. He had 262 hits one season 🥶

Where’s “The Throw?” The walk-off homer off Mo Rivera? The inside-the-park homer in the All-Star Game? The homer on his return to Seattle? The ninja move to escape the tag at home plate and score? You’re going to do a career Ichiro highlight video and leave those out?!

How can someone that has accomplished so much be so humble? Not a trace of arrogance in him. Can't help but appreciate this great man. He is John Stockton of baseball.

Ichiro came over with a lot of fanfare, and a lot of people were prepared to dislike him. But his tireless work ethic and his unquestioned skills won people over. Offensively and defensively, he always played hard and gave fans their money’s worth.
