You're spot on. Back when the M's posted their "A New Chapter" video, I said it wasn't going to be a new chapter, just more of the same. Casual fans lost their minds, hating on me. I told one guy to come back to the comment section in September when the M's are batting .225 as a team and averaging 4.2 runs/game. Well, the team average is now .227 and they're averaging 3.71 runs/game. (The pitching looks good though, especially for it being so early in the season. However, M's hitting will waste too many good pitching performances and lose too many low-scoring games). Go M's!

Every team in the MLB plays every day compared to other sports. It’s pretty obvious why it takes longer.

Apologies, but this is a minor pet peeve of mine. People misuse the term “quality start”. It is an actual tracked stat, defined as: pitching 6 or more innings allowing 3 or fewer earned runs. I’d actually prefer 4.2 only giving up 1, but that’s too short for a quality start.

Good comment, but if it were up to me I'd hit Cal in 4th with that OPS approaching .900. France hits in the 3 spot, Haniger 5th (and keep his SLG .415 and OPS .737 in the lineup). DH somebody in the 2 spot who can take pitches and get on base (that's assuming Crawford comes to life at some point). They're paying Julio so much, they have to keep playing him for now and hope that he gets better. But, if his OBP doesn't improve (the guy could really help the team by taking more pitches and drawing some walks) then I'd move him to 5th and Haniger to 6th. As for where to play in Haniger in the field, that is a problem. 1st base is the place to hide an immobile guy, but there's no reason to move France.
