Ah I remember how revolutionary this game was. It's vast, bright, and vivid environments paired with its beautiful soundtrack make it extremely memorable.
Sure Odyssey looks amazing and its what ive wanted Nintendo to do for a long time. But its not revolutionary like he was saying. There have been quite a few great games in the past few years that are pretty memorable. Shovel knight, Sm4sh, Halo 5 (its better now). But there is only so much you can do with video games and the age where new stuff popped up every year is over.
An Onixpected Trainer Approaches oh man was I disappointed with that game. Soundtrack was bogus, and collectathons don’t suit Mario. He controlled really well though
imagine the people going to the orchestra who never played galaxy, thinking "oh its just Mario it can't be that great" and then getting blasted with the best game soundtrack of the decade
@@DudeCole110 i recently have been thinking a lot because people close me started saying that galaxy was no good or not some of the best, and I was thinking a lot of my opinion, and I just forgot that and continue thinking that galaxy is a masterpiece and one of the best games of all time
I'm 16 now but I remember getting this during my elementary years when I was like 4-6. I still remember how the ending made me cry so much and my parents would be asking what's wrong and I'm still crying like, "my Luna bro... the little guys are dying in the black hole! "
Noah Washington lol omg me too! when I tell people nintendo and collecting nintendo things is one of my hobby's and interests their just like are you a hipster or a 6 year old? lol and im just like fuck you im neither im awesome! xD
Bromaticalpie i wish there were more but too many people want to kill others in video games and not play the classics like mario and zelda. i for one think that zelda is much better than FPS games. it is sad, really :( BUT I WILL STICK WITH U MY FELLOW NINTENDO NERD!!!
A crucial part of Mario Galaxy they missed was this song and the theme of Rosalina's story. Or the theme from the beginning of the game where the game is explaining stars and stuff.
It’s amazing the amount of money Nintendo spends for music… in my opinion to judge a game or a film it’s important to listen to the music so gj nintendo
The fact that this pretty much sounds like it could've been taken straight out of the game shows how much effort they put into creating the orchestrated soundtrack.
To be fair, there exist many people who aren't as casual about music as most, and there are many nitpicks someone who has a good musical ear can make about this performance. Yes, the music choices here are great, but there are many moments sounds that are clearly meant to be played in unison end up out of sync, missed notes, things like that. You may have enjoyed it for what it is, but I'm just saying, anyone who's been in school band or similar would be wincing about every 5 to 10 seconds in this video. Clearly, this performance was done as entertainment for not just the audience but the orchestra, as I would expect more serious performances to be held to a much higher standard. But as a result, the little mistakes pile on and bother some people who just want to hear the music without being reminded the orchestra is even there.

This game is incredible. I got this when I was 5 and I am now 13. This game was a journey. The music. The levels. Couldn't ask for a better childhood. Nintendo really out did themselves with this game. It will always be a memory in my heart. Listening to this music always gives me nostalgia, but I enjoy it very much! Thank you for this magical game Nintendo!
I'm 13 now, so it has not been much since this game first came out. But let me tell you, this game gave me the best time I've ever had in my early childhood. Beating this game at the age of 6, it was magical, so magical the game's ending brought me to tears. This game will always be in my heart. Every. Single. Time I hear a piece of this amazing games' OST, I get goosebumps on my back if not tear up... I love this game and it will never be replaced. Switch Remake? Hmmm?
I totally agree with you, I’m already trying to get a switch for odyssey, if a super Mario galaxy remake (or even just a port of the original) I would be super excited
I wish they had more galaxies. Freeze flame good egg space junk. And I some of the trumpets couldn’t hit the higher notes and one part of the tempo went to fast at some point. Otherwise this is amazing
I'm still playing them in 2019. I'm bout to be 18 too lol. You know the old comment: Boys play COD, real men play Mario! Haha. Never gonna get too old to go fight another round with my buddy Bowser :)
cried to the whole thing, love mario galaxy, but mario prett much help me when i was 6, he was my friend. GREAT! MUSIC! LOVE YOU NINTENDO! love you Mario!!!! great shit
I'm amazed Melty Molten and the Toy Time version of the Mario theme got in. Melty molten is excluded from everything and Toy Time is just defaulted to the original Super Mario theme.
nah they are just very judgemental with mistakes the band makes, good musicians have good ears you know. Like players not playing synchronized, not hitting the notes properly therefore getting some very wrong and ugly tones, about every five to ten seconds. Some people can´t enjoy a beautiful soundtrack which has been "ruined" by the bands performance.
0:23 it was supposed to be A -> E -> A -> G# -> B but one (or more) of the flutists continued to play E where they should've played B because of the descending pattern alternating with E earlier.
You would hit that button if you were one of those douches on the internet who keeps telling everyone that Mario is for little kids >:( I hate those b!tches. Hopefully I'm not alone, right?
