All shortcuts, shroom spots, and other strategies done by the world records. And these were all the world records as of July 07, 14.
Yeah, the quality isn't the best here, it wasn't easy downloading the world records off of RU-vid, editing them, then re-uploading to RU-vid. I thought I did a pretty good job for what could have been accomplished.

For some odd reason people keep thinking this is me racing which is completely wrong. The people that are playing will always be in the bottom left or right corner of the screen.
I've noticed a little bug going around, disliking all my videos. I didn't think I had enough recognition for that, but it's nice to know I'm cool enough to get that appreciation. :P

Eh, the DLC to MK8 gave us Big Blue and Yoshi Circuit, which are just extremely fun to play on, but yeah MK8 has no whacky physics which allow for insane shortcuts,

Big Blue has an ultra-shortcut Section 2 make sure you have at least 2 mushrooms drive off some parts with no fences at all hold down on the d-pad or analog stick profit

So true i remember those years ago i was like 10-11 and played kirby so much on my Wii and 3ds... Those really bring up memories. Just me, a little child (sometimes a friend too) sitting in front of the tv and having probably the best time of their lives... The Wii was nintendos best console and will ever be the best console

It's weird watching this after things like the DK Jungle Parkway and Sherbet Land ultra shortcuts were discovered. The Mushroom Gorge strat has changed as well - you can stay on the mountain for all three laps.

really good video, awesome compilation. Only complaints are that you showed the whole WGM glitch race but that's not really a big deal since it's short, and the Daisy Circuit stair dive wasn't as good as others I've seen in WRs. There are much lower ones. I don't remember specifically Axel's run though, so maybe that's the best there was in that specific record. Kickass video dude, I'm sure it took a lot of time, well done :)

it is amazing that you can pull off something like this. But it hurts to see good games being broken just for the sake of easy wins and (in my opinion) useless records. But here are people who enjoy the heck out of time trials wich i totaly respect. It's good to get fun out of something in your own way.

Oh, this video is crazy old ... Anyway, the fact that physics-defying tricks are together with things I figured on my own in high school kinda bugs me. I mean yeah ... Take the inside line. Boost through off road. Big discovery, clearly as much as "clip through the floor to 100 m later on the track", "spin around this rock 3 times" and "did you know walls don't actually exist ?" You should have probably removed some of the clips.

People play with Funky Kong and Daisy because they're the fastest characters to play with in the game if you're using Funky with Flame Runner or Spear and Daisy with Mach Bike
