Just this gorgeous voice, nothing else… and I love this scene in the movie when Mario Lanza sings Leoncavallo’s beautiful „Mattinata“… 🌞🌞🌞 Thank you for the delightful post! 🙏🍀
A true clean and vibrant Tenor voice Mr Lanza had. I am a big fan. This is Lanza stripped of the studio Orchestra recordings of this song and still sounds brilliant without the backing. Lanza had a gift to nail any Aria or song. Thanks for the post.
It isn't stripped of any orchestra backing because it never had one, being that it is the recording used in 'The Great Caruso', where he sings to the crowds outside the theatre who couldn't get in to see him sing.
I love that recording. It's one of my favorite pieces by ML. I have everything he recorded commercially, and everything that Damon Lanza had released on his own CD label. Mario is still the greatest!
