Okay, so I can get this out of my head: while Bowser's Inside Story introduced the ideas of the Giant Battles, lets be real here, they were EASY, and I mean it when I said that. I've got the remake, and I could easily take zero damage from any of the bosses (minus the final Giant Battle). But Dream Team PERFECTED the concept of the Giant Battle. If you're not careful and paying attention, you WILL get knocked out, and they feel like more of a challenge. Not only that, but they feel WAY more intimidating. For example, in BIS, you fight: Bowser's castle A dopey armless tower A fucking train with Fawfuls fugly face And a mechanized corruption of Peaches castle (that boss is obviously my favorite) In Dream Team you fight: A ancient being that encapsulated itself inside mechanical armor with drills A sentient volcano with one hell of a temper An ancient guardian made out of buildings Jesus Bird And Bowser Himself.
If my brother was in my dream, and there was a big ass enemy coming towards us, I sure as hell would've grown up to it's size and kick it's ass GOOD. While my brother on my head/pocket.
Not really, he is really scared and acts like a pussy, but what I like is by the end (Spoilers if you haven't beaten this game) he stands up to Bowser and isn't scared anymore.
I'm pretty baffled that people apparently had a hard time with Earthwake's hammer attack. I actually thought the giant battles were great outside of gyroscope moments. Nintendo needs to learn already that forcing gyroscope tends to hurt a lot.
Let's just be thankful that it wasn't overseen by Miyamoto like Sticker Star was. He's a genius in the video game industry, but his over reliance on "no complicated stories" will eventually kill Mario and Link into the pits of Oblivion, especially if one relies on gimmick controls to get an edge against its competitors.
Luigi channels his inner Ultraman in this game he even uses an over the top finishing move, he just needs a super lazer. Or in his case maybe a super fire blast and he is ready to protect Mushroom Kingdom from Giga Bowser and everything else that gets their hands on a Mega Mushroom. Yeah make it happen Nintendo!
Also, the Zeekeeper fight and the Giant Bowser fight weren't hard for the good reasons: They were unfairly hard because Zeekeeper's turn lasts like, forever, and that stupid end part of the Giant Bowser fight with the gyro-controls was so annoyingly hard...
Just a sudden thought: What if in one of the Giant Battles, it was a Dark Dreamy Luigi, as we had a Dark Mario before in the game, after all, so it'd be amazing to see a Giant Dreamy Luigi + Mario vs a Giant Dark Dreamy Luigi + Dark Mario. It'd be the battle of the ages, right there!
M&L bowsers inside storys camera angel was desent and the battles where good M&L Dream Teams camera angels were shot below them to make them feel more gaint and AWESOME sound track by yoko shimomura :3 and it plays good too.
I never play the game yet, but when I first heard this music, my first thought was "Holy! This sounds AWESOME!!!" And it use in ever giant boss battle but I know you already knew that.
I didn't have trouble with these bosses until... The Bowser Battle, OH GOD the Bowser Battle. I would do perfectly until the Beyblade battle, (lost 7 times cause of that alone), and the Final attack, Do I need to say anything else? I loved the battle, except for the end.
Does anybody else feel like these fights got more amazing each time, all up to the bowser firght where you have luigi pulling a freaking super mario 64 tail swing
I think it's kind of hilarious what happens when Luigi gets hit and Mario go flying towards the screen like when the zeekeeper fountain blows up and it looks like it broke the top screen.
How are you supposed to get past the Repel the Shell section with the messed up gyro controls? I died EVERY SINGLE TIME to Giant Bowser because of that section in Hard Mode.
this should been the final boss music THAT WOUID BE SO COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
When the Dream Stone spirit equipped the Drilldigger, I couldn't help but think "JUST WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK I AM!?" I even posted to Miiverse about it.
if me and my brother was inside my dream and we see this biggiest guy me and my brother whould be a team to bet this guy up were a team we bet up big guys
Each one gets increasingly unfair. Robo-Drilldigger: Good, no control issues Mount Pajamaja: Several bad dodging fails, along with clunky Drill Bros. Earthwake: Now the bosses are bad. That hammer attack pisses me off a lot. Zeekeeper: Horrible, especially the gyro controls. Bowser: FUCKING HORRIBLE. Looks cool, but the control is bullshit! The airship attack is terribly off, and the gyro controls could not have been worse. That final move took FOREVER.
Bowser giant battle is the final pain in the ass in this game, if your gyroscope doesn't work and you're also bad at counterattacking, then YOU'RE SCREWED!!! And since I can't finish this game I will give it 0 out of 10,the ost are marvelous, the grafics are astounding and the exploration is nice, but the difficulty is just straight up garbage in comparison to superstar saga partners in time, bowser inside story and even paper jam
Try playing this while fighting Impact bosses in Mystical Ninja 2/Goemon's Great Adventure. It's like if the giant battles were inspired by the Impact battles in the Ganbare Goemon series.
(In my opinion) The song i just heard (ArcanaAaron's Mashup of this and the persona 2:innocent sin Quest battle) makes this sound like a lite version of this song.
I liked the giant battles, (I've defeated the Earthwake in the main story) but does anybody hate how scripted some of these battles are and how you really can only beat them one way? (See Mount Pajamaja)
