TRG should try a 50 turn Mario Party for a stream just once with their choice of Mairo Party. Imagine all the tension that would go with it, having all that time devoted to trying to win.

The thing is with games like Fire Emblem is that you don't remember, or even pay attention, to the times an enemy fails to crit or misses, unless it mattered. So you only end up remembering the times it does happen making it seem like the odds are weighted in the enemy's' favour. Likewise, you don't remember the times that your heroes hit or get crits unless it mattered. So you end up remembering more of the times that they miss because they tend to matter, making it seem like the odds are against you.
That, and any game that uses the True Hit system actually _does_ have a skewed RNG, which makes high probabilities higher and low probabilities lower than the game claims they are (to my knowledge, 50% is still half-and-half).
SourceOfBeing I've had times where I've done a chapter 4 times and the enemy only missed with a 50-60% hit rate 3 or 4 times (which was most of they're attacks) and I missed with about half of those
Rik Jonns - Thing is, it's still just a probability. You could mine Diamonds in Minecraft with a Fortune III pickaxe and only get single diamonds from each ore. You could have max Evasion on a pokemon and still get hit by a Hurricane. Unlikely but still possible. Though the way some of the Fire Emblem games work, is that every possible roll for a single turn is done before you start your turn. The exact results the game says varies depending on where you move the characters, and even where you move the cursor. So if you retry chapters using largely the same strategy, you'll get largely the same results.
Many people also say this of Pokemon's Battle Facilities. You only remember the times you lost due to a Brightpowder miss or the AI's Quick Claw, but forgot all the times you won with a clutch crit or not missing Rock Slide. I honestly don't know how Chugga can think FE's RNG is rigged in favor of the enemy though. If anything, it's rigged in favor of YOU, due to the aforementioned True Hit. Any hit rate below 50 has very low chances of hitting, e.g. a 1% chance is actually 1/1000, not 1/100. Of course, this doesn't apply to FEs 1-5, and Fates and Echoes, as none of them use True Hit.

I remember battling in a friend's castle in FE Fates. His Kana used Astra when my Corrin had 1hp left. And all five hits MISSED. I stared at the screen in shock for like ten minutes.
Thats cute. In fire emblem awakening i had a bad habit of forgetting characters so during one mission i sent sumia to fight 3 enemies that were all higher level than her. She killed all of them by herslef in 7 turns without getting criticals or having a very high chance of hitting them or doing alot of damage or having a person with her. (It was 49-50% chance of her hitting each enemy for at most 6 points of damage) she barely lived but that was hands down the most luckiest moment in fire emblem i ever experienced
I've had a really dumbfounding moment only once that wasn't related to me missing with a 99 hit chance or getting hit by a 1 hit chance, and it involved lethality, I triggered it with ol' Volke... and the enemy activated miracle, and it was the only lethality trigger I ever got on that playthrough
+chuggaaconroy The Shadow Realm _does_ exist in the Japanese version, it's just not used nearly as much as 4Kids used it. In the Japanese version, it's the "World of Darkness", which is only used for a few things, and pretty much never what 4Kids used it for; most notably, it was where Pegasus put Yugi's grandpa's soul. (Note that _GX_ has a second World of Darkness, which is distinct from this one.) Meanwhile, in the 4Kids dub, the Shadow Realm is hell. Literally in one case (Bonz & his cronies were sent to hell in the Japanese version, and the Shadow Realm in the dub), and ...slightly less literally in the other cases (considering that most circumstances where it was used would be fatal for the losers anyways, 4Kids unintentionally implied that in most cases, peoples' souls were sent there _after_ the physical part of the trap killed their bodies).

It annoys me that Tim just jumps into things or picks directions without looking at the board first. I'm rooting for him to win but he doesn't make it easy if he jumps into a warp pipe without even checking where bowser is first!
He was 14 spaces away. But it doesn't matter, taking that risk was a dumb decision that could've easily been prevented if he had taken a quick look at the board. That mistake did cost him 40 coins =/
Yeah I always root for Tim but it's really not because of his bad luck, he just doesn't even try I feel like. Whereas the other two look at where they're going to land or what's ahead Tim just randomly picks, randomly does things. If he managed to stay behind Bowser until daytime he can use his slow mushroom to roll a 1. He also has a golden mushroom to catch up to DK if need be. I highly doubt Tim had a thought that complex before jumping into that pipe, if you have watched him play any of these games so far you would know. Half of his good decisions are Jon or Emile telling him about them.
His logic when he used his golden mushroom was to try to get enough distance so that not only would he not get Bowser again, but he would hopefully also have DK within his reach the next turn. It's just that the roll he got sucked.
I don't mean it in a rude way, I love Tim, he's an adorable underdog and my favourite but you need to have good strategy with Mario Party, considering a lot of it can come down to luck so you need to grab every chance you get

If Jon had to be compared to an FE character, it'd be Raven of FE7...because he's the most susceptible to getting RNG screwed, according to TV Tropes. Also, when Chugga says "tutorial", does he mean the premonition chapter or the chapter when a town is attacked by brigands shortly after Robin is found?

Ztars in the Mario Party series are called "Shadow Stars" in Mario Party 6; and "Dark Stars" in Mario Party 7 (or "Z Stars" in PAL version of Mario Party 7). But in all other installments (Mario Party 1, 2, 3, 5, Mario Party DS, Mario Party 2 on VC for Wii, Mario Party 2 on VC for Wii U, and Mario Party DS on VC for Wii U) they're called "Ztars". Mario Party 4 and Mario Party 8 are the only 2 installments (prior to only Mario Party DS, Mario Party 2 on VC for Wii, Mario Party 2 on VC for Wii U, and Mario Party DS on VC for Wii U) to not have Ztars as collectibles. However, in Mario Party 8, as Ztars were originally going to appear, there was an unused short piece song called "You Got a Dark Star!". That means Ztars were going to appear but it was removed for Mario Party 8. A Ztar back in Mario Party 4 did have a cameo appearance (shown with Thwomp and Whomp). Ztars in most of the games were acquired by Bowser. But in Mario Party DS and Mario Party DS on VC for Wii U, they could only be found in Hidden Blocks. Well you know, in Mario Party 9 and Mario Party 10 (with the non VC titles in the Mario Party series, these are the last 2 out of the first 10 installments in the series; home console only), Ztars didn't appear. However, there were Mini Ztars (the counterpart to Mini Stars) as stars and coins were replaced by Mini Stars and Mini Ztars. This was in both Mario Party 9 and Mario Party 10. (Tip: In Mario Party 9, on DK's Jungle Ruins, instead of getting Mini Stars and Mini Ztars, it's Mini Bananas and Z Bananas.) I am talking about Ztars in the Mario Party series.

So, fun fact: It actually is possible for everyone to get a Draw in Granite Getaway - If no one survives the boulder (they get slowed down too much that they can't catch up, etc.) or if they fall off the bridge if running on the walls. I've had that happen a few times playing this game so I know that a Draw on that mini-game can happen.
The "is the box held together by screws?" line reminds me of of the advertisement for a Norwegian roller-coaster that was "not a single nail was used to make this coaster", but there was screws all over it... 😑

Also, the Metal Mushroom Orb does not work with the Donkey Kong/Bowser effects on this board. (NOTE: Chugga forgot to mention that.) So if you are metal (via a Metal Mushroom Orb) and reach Bowser (at night) with it, it doesn't prevent you from getting a Shadow Star. You are forced to see Bowser and get a Shadow Star.
At the beginning on the episode Emile talked about wanting to see Mario in low poly for 64. Well A+Start has a serious called Low Poly where he looks at the models of different characters. He even did a video on Mario. He should check it out.
Donkey Kong and Bowser are not affected from any event, character orbs, nor roadblocks. There's also not an orb nor any sort of event (board mechanic) that can change the day/night cycle (so you can have DK/Bowser for more than three turns). Same with Castaway Bay.
Chugga of course you don't get arrested for leaving a store without buying anything, you just get a face plant to the stairs courtesy of Beedle's Airshop.
To be fair, Tim did get screwed by luck, as it was improbable that Bowser would have reached him even if he rolled 2 dice, and the second time was because he got a shitty roll that would have made Jon proud. (Although Jon's rolls usually help him) But it was pretty stupid.
No, Emile, it's not that 1% is 50% for the AI in Fire Emblem. It's that the RNG will perform the most inconvenient action at any given time. For that reason, Sword of Seals is miserable, since Thrones give 30% evade, and most of the bosses are Generals. Gotta love enemies with minor regen who are hard to hit and only take minor damage even when you do...YaaAaaaAAAaAAy...
So far, it's still most anyone's game, with Jon and Chuggaa in the leads. Assuming I've counted correctly, the item distribution is so: Jon: 5 Tim: 4 Emile: 4 AI: 1 Jon has gotten two stars in one turn, a veritable rarity on this board, but is nonetheless poised to get royally screwed by Bowser if he rolls poorly. He also has a one-item lead for Orb star, but this is rocky to be sure. Tim is not faring so well, with his best shot at any stars being to catch up with Jon in terms of orb use to net a bonus star, but careless plays on his part are hindering any progress in terms of helpful star collection. Emile has a nigh 100% chance for Happening star, effectively meaning his star count is 1. He too could get the Orb star, and though Jon has gotten a few, she's been the winner of many minigames so far. He is a very strong contender this round. The AI is trying its hardest this round (Godspeed, Toadette). She may have begun a secret affair with Donkey Kong, which would explain the frequent visits from both sides for no apparent reason. *tl;dr* Jon and Emile are in a close race, with still much to play. Tim is sorta floundering, and the lesss said for the poor fate of the AI, the better.
Looks like Note to Self is the TRG Mario Party 6 minigame theme, as was Day at the Races in 2, The Beat Goes On in 3 and Coney Island in 5. I forgot what minigames they mostly got in 1 and 4
