The reasoning for this change is also lame and really stupid.

@@sek6907 Simply put, in terms of the board system, the director wanted us to pay full attention to the game even when it wasn't your turn. Because he felt that players only paid attention to their turn and nothing else. So he decided that everyone moves together so that everyone has to pay attention. Even though the past 8 did that job well enough but what do I know? It's not like most folks hate the car system too.

I think i'm going to have to personally disagree with you in my opinion. I don't think change is necessarily bad but for that it wasn't executed well enough and therefore I at least believe that's why Mario Party 9 isn't a good Mario Party game. Not because it's not like the others but because the game isn't that fun to play, at least for me. I feel like 10 could of been at least a step in the right direction if only they had fixed it up but instead it's got only really a smidgen of what Mario Party 9 had and it feels way too lack luster in content to really justify it. I don't think the Car Gameplay is the worst thing in the world but I just wish it could of been better made to be able to enjoy more then I have.

@@pedrito890 When it comes to Mario Party, yeah. Lots of people hate it because it wasn'y like the older games.

@@Slyshi The thing is that Nd Cube was known for makimg the Wii Party games, which what 9 and 10 were based off of. Thse game recieved a lot of praise from critics, so they broght that concpet to Mario Party, which older fans didn't like. Buy Mario Party needed something new because the series were criticized for being the same game every year with very little changes, not to mention that it also takes very long which some people find it boring. 9 was new and it also recieved possitively because it was different, and faster. We still have fans who prefer the faster Mario Party becuase it similates a board game pretty well. I think Candy Land? It's an adventure, but you are still competing sing there is strategy involved. Older fans don't see it because they don't put wnough time into the games. All they know is roll, collect Ministars on the way to the end and that's it. I am an old Mario Party fan and the time I have put into the newer Mario Party games shows how older fans don't get how the games are meant to be played. They look at it once and never again. I thought the change was a breath of fresh air, and they are still good Mario Party games.

@@luxerhusku2609 I am also a old Mario Party fan too, and i'm not going to deny that the older Mario Party games had some bad games in the mix too, for instance 1, 5, and 8 imo aren't that fun to go back on. However with 9 it feels the pace is too fast. What I enjoy about the older Mario Party games is they felt like parties, even being a long board game, people have the option to change the amount of turns which helps change the pace of the games. With the car you're stuck to the pace and it makes it feel dramatic when you go by so quickly without any breathers. Another thing is that the captain while being a good idea in concept easily is broken being due to how luck based it can be sometimes. You can perhaps get it but sometimes why it's so broken is because the person who's captain gets extra benefits which I guess you could say adds a layer of strategy, yet that layer of strategy is diffidently too artificial. You could basically never be the captain at all which is pretty much way more unfair because luck screws you out of it. You don't get a minigame every turn anymore which also is a deal breaker. They're there to help people catch up, and when you barely get at least it half of the time it makes things less balanced. People can't earn their way back to 1st but instead have to grog through Board Events which is also kinda bull mostly due to the fact it's more so that the captain gets to choose everything that plays out instead of it being just natural. Finally I just feel like the game is even less stratigic then most Mario Party games. In the other games you had a layer of strategy in the Items, but with there only being die in this game (Making sense since your'e always together in a car) it just feels like luck runs the board most of the time. The end game you're rewarded ministars but they don't really feel like they have impact enough that a star in any Mario Party game would have. Also with the removal of stars it removes again another layer of strategy since you aren't paying for ministars at all. It just all feels like getting more then others is basically a roll on the die. I'm not saying that the car mechanic is a bad one, yet it leaves so much to be desired and I wish they ironed it out better because I would of enjoyed it way more. You could call this to me saying that I'm comparing Mario Parties and while yes I am, i'm doing it under a critical eye because I enjoyed what the other Mario Party games had to offer. Even as a board game I feel like it's way too luck dependent. You have your opinion of course and I respect that, but I don't agree with it.
