I love this woman for so many reasons, but the best is: I was standing on the neutral ground at a Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans, she was one of the grand marshals, and with thousands of people yelling around me, I shouted "Mariska!" and she heard me, and turned, looked me in the eyes, and threw me beads. An old man standing next to me was astonished. "Do you KNOW her???" I don't. But I feel like I do.

Im glad you had a good interaction with her. My mom knew a few ppl that also saw her during Mardi Gras and they don’t have the same nice memories unfortunately. Broke my heart to hear them tell it because I love her. 😭

The Australian chick was hotter hands down. Skinnier, shorter, not as muscular, shoulders aren't as broad, facial features are more feminine, plus the red hair vs the green costume is just plain sexy as hell where Marishka just looked like a generic Wonder Woman. Unfortunately Marishka looks more like her dad than her mom.

Gabrielle Fitzpatrick was always supposed to play Dulcea, but she had to have an emergency surgery. Once she recovered, they brought her back. Mariska played the role during that time.

Some time ago, I turned on in the middle and saw Mariska investigating a rape case in Amish country and after about forty minutes, I was thinking "Is this a two-parter? Where's Elliot? Why is Olivia working this case alone? Why is she in Amish country?" It turned out to be a TV movie and not Law and Order. Mariska was just playing a similar character.

Actually, she was fired because they didn't think she was right for the role. They had a different actress casted at first but because of an emergency operation she had to have, they had to recast the role of Dulcea so they selected Mariska to play the role. They spent weeks of her shooting scenes. She was supposed to train them in the ways of ninjetti, having individual sessions with them. But after reviewing the scenes, the producers just didn't think she was right for the role so she was fired. By then the original actress had recovered from her operation so she was hired back. This made all of the ninjetti training scenes unusable because they all had Mariska in them. There wasn't time to reshoot them so the whole training sequence had to axed from the film.

Been watching re-runs of SVU from all different seasons...I have to say, Mariska gets much more beautiful with every passing year. Young Mariska: pretty. Older Mariska: gorgeous.

She learned a lesson, but was it the right one? Maybe instead of "being there" and "watching her Ps & Qs" the lesson should have been to have holidays written into contracts and schedules so that everyone gets to spend important time with their families.

Incidentally Mariska was the replacement actress when the original had a health issue. When she got fired, they replaced her with the original actress who had recovered.

@@JloveLamar Yeah, the director (Brian Spicer, I think his name is?) said in a later behind the scenes interview that Mariska was fired and replaced with Gabrielle Fitzpatrick (spelling???) because Saban blamed Mariska for the fact that the scenes being shot weren't good enough to be in the film, when in reality, the problem was that they just didn't have a high enough budget to improve upon the scenes that Mariska filmed.

The real story is: they wanted Gabrielle Fitzpatrick for the role of dulcea but she ended up getting sick and needing an operation so they casted mariska. The Christmas break fiasco happened and Gabrielle was back so they pretty much fired mariska. I wouldn’t say they recasted her, because technically Mariska was the recast lol

the director said they fired her because the scenes they filmed were boring and the studio decided to go with his original choice for the role. i wonder if she knows this version of the story. maybe they never told her that.

What people don't understand about Show Business is that it is extremely cut throat. People are fired and replaced all the time at the drop of a hat for any reason, and not just actors but directors, producers, etc. This goes for Hollywood, Theater, and The Music industry, etc. It's just business.

Dis they finish that power rangers movie? If so what was it called. I only know 3 power rangers movie. MMPR: The Movie, Turbo a power rangers movie, and the Power Rangers reboot movie. That villain doesn't exist in any of them.
