Easy to end drug cartels , US need to have mandatory gun buying permits that person gets from local PD or FBI and photo ID, when buying a gun and then only allow people to buy ONE gun per month . Drug cartels can drive with a big van that says Sinaloa on the side to a Texas gun store and buy 100 AK 47 or AR 15 style weapons and ton of ammo , in one go with no background checks , because there are no gun laws in Texas . Majority of the guns that cartels have used and found on crime scenes in Mexico can be traced to Texas .
