He wasn't inclined to go back and be the birth partner since he is barely friends with Sophie and Mark cannot expect him to do such an important job for him as it's his baby not Jeze's, he knows he hasn't got to worry about ending up as the birth partner so he's not talking Mark into it because of that. He could of easily just started fuckin about in the arcade with Mark and not told him he's making a mistake lol. Jez is no saint but he displayed some very good morals in this scene.

Jez is only occasionally a good friend to Mark, whereas Mark is a much better friend to Jez than he deserves.

One of the rare times this happens.

One redeeming quality about them is they actually care about each other.
