What a fantastic surprise Mark.... I have 15 grands and I'm now great grandpa at nearly 50. It is still astonishingly surprising to me. Enjoy that first grand baby.
Jerry Showens, first off hope you're having a good weekend man! We couldn't be happier for Mark and Taylor, things are pretty great around here! Hope you've had a good season so far and best of luck the next you hit the woods.
It’s so crazy Taylor is having a child. Been watching you guys so long it just seems like 2 years ago she was a little girl that wanted to sleep in on the morning hunts lol. Congrats to all!!
Congratulations on a great buck! And congratulations to Taylor & Austin, I know the whole family has to be super excited for the precious bundle of joy God has blessed yall with!
Jake Buckholtz, that is so awesome!! Congratulations to both of you and thank you so much for taking the time to watch the episode. Have a great weekend and best of luck!
Since.I have followed Drury from the beginning it's hard to believe the little girl I watched grow up is now having a baby. Congratulations Tayler and Austin.
Came for the hunt, got much more with the family news. Congratulations Taylor and Austin and welcome to the prep time for becoming Grandparents! There is nothing better!!
Ryan Farmer, man we greatly appreciate those kind words more than you know! We can't wait for April to arrive and for all the memories to come for everyone. Have a great night and best of luck hunting!
Wow Mark wow awsome buck I know u herd this from me b4 but congratulations Mark on a monster buck once again I 👏 I said this b4 2 it couldn't happen to a better guy your most deserving I'm so happy 4 u . Awsome deer awsome hunt u the man lol. I remember as a kid when your very first deer hunting tapes came out I watch your first video season when u guys first got started and haven't missed a one since all these years. I've learned so much from u and Terry and others but u guys taught me the most threw the years .. I wish I knew how to send u a picture but I suck at technology lol but thanks to you guys and what I learned threw the years a git a few real nice deer on my wall but 2 seasons ago on my 12 acres I killed are county record typical whitetail by bow ever killed in are county in Indiana it was a 15pt but a typical 12 point 32 inch main beams 20 inch wide and tall 5 1/2 year old after the 60 day drying period the final typical net score was 189 6/8thsgross low 190s . He was 12 yards away for 5 minutes on the ground in my gilly suite talk about intense boy I don't know how I kept my composer for them 5 minutes but somehow it all worked out lol but if it wasn't for the stuff I learned from u guys all these years it would never had happened thank u Mark and thank u Terry u guys is why he's now on my wall . I wish I could show u pictures but haven't figured out how to send them to u really I'm doing good just to spell technology lol. But I just want to take this time to thank u guys so much you guys are the best out there hands down . Good luck to u all the rest of the season. Congratulations again buddy . God bless
Chad Rusher, man not sure where to start with that one! Thank you so much for the kind words and congratulations on the 189" giant, what a buck and what a story. Comments like these are so humbling and all we can say is thank you for the support all of these years! Have a great night and best of luck this season brother. Thanks again for taking the time to watch!
Jonathan Hulsey, we are so appreciative of the kind words man. Thank you for taking the time to watch and best of luck the next time you hit the woods!
I love the hit tracker feature. Knowing when to back out and let deer expire is one of the hardest things for hunters to learn IMO. Lots of deer are lost from people pushing them too early.
Getting ready to get Deer Cast myself, been using to other app for a couple years now but, after watching all your videos, your app offers so much more than the comp. So , I'm getting it very soon and going to put it to use here in Western Ky. and hopefully it's going to change my game a little bit to the better !!
As much as I love to watch you guys shoot big deer that wasn’t the highlight of this episode. Congrats Taylor, Austin and all of you guys. If she has a girl, my wife and I are due with a boy in April of 2023. I’m sure we can work out a wedding/hunting arrangement for us all between Iowa and Texas lol.
Mark, I noticed that you have a lot of your sets in the middle of your food plots. My question is, how do you get out at night without blowing them out? Have you noticed over the years, that it doesn't matter if you spoke them after dark if the deer are not sure what you are? Just asking as i 've spent a lot of time and money on planting switchgrass as a screening for exiting my blinds. Thanks for your free content on youtube. I love the passion you all have for hunting and it truly shows how much time your team puts into it with your results. Some may say you all are just "Lucky", luck, is where preparation and opportunity meet. The Drury team puts more prep in a season then most hunters do in a lifetime!
Brad181, we couldn't be happier for Taylor and Austin! Also, thank you for taking the time to watch the episode in the first place and we hope you enjoyed it! Best of luck to you the rest of this season.
Congratulations. I occasionally watch the older videos on dvd & DeerCast & Wildlife Obsession episodes on MOTV, you can really get a great perspective on how DOD has grown over the years. Like walking up steps, they’ve progressed their hunting & management game to where it is now. Really let’s the viewer see how they’ve put in the work & effort to get to what it is now.
I really enjoy the footage this crew and family give to the hunting community to watch enjoy and learn from. Monster deer hunting with good folks, I like it all. 🏹🏆🎥👑congratulations on another trophy class buck. 💯👍
Joel Mcmahan, we've been extremely fortunate thus far during Deer Season 22 and we're so grateful. Hopefully you enjoyed this one with Mark and ultimately took something away from it to help out the next time you hit the woods. Have a great rest of your weekend and best of luck hunting.
@@DruryOutdoors thank you guys, I appreciate the replies and sharing such great things as Marks deer here and all the other hunts. Doe or huge bucks I like all the footage from good folks. Wishing the crew, family and fans the best of life and luck. Gods speed to you all. 🏹🏆🦌💯👍🎥💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽💯👍
I love watching your videos it's awesome I wish my dad would have taught me how to hunt when I was a little but he never gave me the timer the energy to do it I'm 52 now and would love to learn to hunt and I have no one to show me I wish there was something like a charity or something that could help me and you guys could teach me
I'm so happy for Taylor to be pregnant and Austin to become a dad don't know they're going to be great parents. I'm so happy for them I got tears and that's not a lie
Ralph Empson, we hope the wait is worth it! Couldn’t be happier for Mark on another successful evening in the woods. Lots to unpack in this one and we hope you enjoy. Thank you for the continued support and best of luck this season!
J's Outdoors, like we said to Ralph we're dang appreciative of the continued support! Hope you enjoy the episode and that you've had a great season thus far. Have a great weekend!
This season is really turned out to be something special!! Congratulations to everybody laying down big bucks and that also love doe meat in the freezer.👍🇺🇲
Great video and awesome buck, gotta say the gopro footage from older episodes definitely looks better than the tactacams yall are using now , but regardless great episode as usual continued good luck to yall this season
Snookninja, that's a really good idea! This year we tackled the drought by watering plots using a tractor and water pump. Hope you enjoyed the episode and if you'd like to see how we did that watering, check out one of the summer episodes! Have a great rest of your weekend and thank you so much for the continued support.
Iv always wondered how do you all get the neck loosened back up once rigger mortise sets in. He was stiff when ya found him but by the end of the recovery his neck was loosened back up
I'm looking for advice and I know you guys have the correct answer 👍👍 How do you exit the blind with all the deer on the food plot without blowing everything out ? Great video and great deer , keep up the good work. 👍👍👍👍👍
Question for Mark or anyone who uses NOSE JAMMER. I tried it once and was taken aback on it's strong odor. I felt that it would repel deer more than negate my human odor. What do you all think?
Richard L Laine, thank you so much for the kind words and for taking the time to watch the episode. Have a great night and best of luck the next time you hit the woods.
Hey guys. I Love y’alls Family & Faith. I have a question or two if ya don’t mind. I’m not the most computer friendly. How can I talk to ya about surprising mySon with a Hunt with the Family. My Son is 23 a Veteran and now a Firefighter. I’m disabled and he loves to hunt. I hope I didn’t ramble. Safe Hunting 🦌 🦃 🇺🇸Friend From Georgia 🇺🇸
PLEASE READ ALL OF THIS...I agree that most of what you see on the Drury videos is not applicable to the average Joe. We just dont have the type of ground, or the acres available, to reliably get deer to the age class they need to be, to turn into the monsters they are hunting. They have it all don't they? Big tracts of land, nice food plots, expensive blinds and big deer. However, with that being said, I am positive that these guys have worked their asses off and sacrificed more than 99% of other people would, to be able to reap the rewards they have been blessed with. People only see the end result of all those sacrifices, and all the work they have put in. It wasn't easy for them in the beginning, I'm sure of it. But they had a dream, that some people probably said was crazy, or wouldn't ever work. But they pursued it anyhow, and they succeeded. If most the people leaving the bad comments on here had access to the types of funds the Drury's have ( due to ALOT OF HARD WORK ), you can bet your butt they would own farms just like the Drury's do. But they aren't willing to work that hard or sacrifice that much. So they put them down. That's the easy route. Will I ever consistently kill the types of bucks that they do, or have access to the kind of land they do? Of course not. And I own that decision. I'm at peace with that, and certainly dont hate them because of their success. Good luck to all the hunters out there, don't hate on each other. Life is far too short for that.
You got here very quick! First off thank you for the time you’re taking to watch and we hope you enjoy it. Best of luck the next time your hunting Orrie!
I couldn't tell if it was heart lung hit becaue of his leg was back. I saw that whem you shot. But all in all good shot. I dont shoot for behind the shoulder. I go straight up the leg. Theres only ribs above the front leg. Until you go as high as the scapula. But I use high focus arrows and single bevel broadheads. I dont shoot mechanicals. They durability issues. Especially rages. They are literally the worst braodh3ad you can buy. I bust right through humorous bones with my setup.
The Hillbilly Hermit, that's a really good idea and one we can definitely take into consideration for the future. This one ended up being heart, lung, and barely sliced the liver! Hope you enjoyed the episode and best of luck to you the rest of the season.
Awesome vids as always I’m hunting tomorrow and will be using y’all grunt call .2 days ago I shot my first deer with a muzzleloader got the whole hunt on film it’s on my channel
Yep when it’s all about selling shit it’s pretty off putting!! Hunting tight to bedding is the title while hunting in a blind would be more accurate. But really good deer congratulations
I killed a mature 5 1/2 old this morning had 3 years of pictures and encounters with him and all of it came to a close this morning with the smoke pole still pumped on it big 9 with 3 beams on him
Going to be honest here.. Love the videos, love the stories, but the repetitive sponsorship and brand promoting over and over...pretty off putting and I dont want to watch any more of the video because it feels disingenuous. Feels like more "trying to make a buck" The average Joe will never be able to hunt these classes of deer, so its disconnecting when average Joes get marketing shoved down our throats.
I am in the same boat. I end up skipping through 90% of the video just to watch them shoot a deer with some of the worst broadheads on the market. Perfect shot placement and half the arrow still sticking out means your broadhead is complete junk. Many of these shows are only for product placement.
Dont watch it then. They arnt hunting big million dollar farms. If your that stuck in your ways and unwilling to learn a thing or 2 from what they are showing u it just goes to show that u just dont wanna learn. Deer tracker is a tool that they created they have every right to self promote it to help other hunters be successful. They have always been promoting their sponsors since the beginning nothing has changed for them with that.
@@spyder-cq2by It didn't take long for a white knight to come along though so thanks for that. I can with 100% certainty state that this channel has only shown me what not to do. I don't downplay learning from others mistakes so that part is helpful. I watch because I like to see deer hunting videos. I don't mind them promoting things, but the hunt is like 1/10th of the show anymore. The only part of their deercast app that is of any use is the shot placement tool. The rest is a coin toss or a glance at the daily horoscopes.
This isn’t hunting to me. I understand the work it takes to set property up like this but taking a big deer off of managed land just isn’t that impressive. Too easy! Go hunt public and see how you do!
Mark is one very very skilled seasoned hunter man. I'm firm believer Mark could kill a giant anywhere he hunts. I can promise you my money is on Mark vs You dude on public land that is 😂
@@usaproud4life who bow hunts out of a enclosed stand? This is just stupid…takes no skill! You can’t flip up the window when you start your hunt? None of this takes skill!
Something about watchin Drury is off putting or non genuine, think this'll b last vid I ever watch from any of em.***** Edited 2 clarify response in comments. ****
Chatta601, first off I’d like to start by saying thank you for taking the time to watch the episode. As for your comment, we’re not sure what you mean by it’s basically high fence hunting. This is 100% fair chase hunting. The neighboring hunters are hunting the same deer and more time than can be counted goes into the off season for these opportunities, which are few far and between. We apologize for not delivering exactly what you’re looking for, but man we can’t apologize for what you said above. Our goal is to educate, have fun with our friends and family, and build one memory at a time. The very same as you and yours. Again, we really do appreciate the time you’ve taken to watch this episode, the episodes of the past, and hope to continue to have you as a viewer. Best of luck to you the rest of this season, there’s some great days ahead!
@@DruryOutdoors yessir same 2 yall as well, by the fence comment it ain't meant how ya taking it, it's more or less yall r mega rich n don't do things like us poor peasants, then all the jamming products noone can afford down our throats, but besides that something is just non genuine or off putting from the vids nowadays n I've been a long time watcher.
@@chatta6013 it’s not real hunting. The properties are set up as a deer haven and they bait all year until their cell cameras tell them the giants are moving during daylight. Then they go in their cozy stands and watch the show. This is not fair chase but they get the best deer money can buy.
